Earlier this week, Apprising Ministries filled us in on what has been deemed the “David Barton Controversy.” Barton’s book, The Jefferson Lies has been met with criticism and boycotts as many claim that it is filled with factual errors and misleading claims. Today, publisher Thomas Nelson announced that they will no longer continue to publish or distribute this book. World Magazine reports:
The Thomas Nelson publishing company has decided to cease publication and distribution of David Barton’s controversial book, The Jefferson Lies: Exposing the Myths You’ve Always Believed about Thomas Jefferson, saying it has “lost confidence in the book’s details.”
