Mueller Investigation ‘Poisoned Fruit’ After Comey Testimony

Poisoned fruit? According to former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, yes. Gingrich made the poisoned fruit comment after learning that fired FBI Director James Comey leaked documents hoping a special counsel would be appointed to investigate the charges against President Trump.  Newsmax has the story:

In his testimony Thursday, former FBI Director James Comey’s statement about leaking information of private conversations he had with President Donald Trump revealed the special counsel investigation led by Robert Mueller was “poisoned fruit,” stated former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

Comey admitted he leaked the information as part of the FBI’s probe into Russia’s involvement in U.S. elections and the connections of the president’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn with Russian officials.
