Two very interesting things were brought to light today in the discussion groups I am part of on Facebook. As this happened I wondered if God waited until I got back from vacation to bring this about, but then it occurred to me that I am just little cog in the wheel and He most certainly doesn’t need me….
The first thing that slammed into me this morning came from Pulpit & Pen. Yes, I know that a lot of people view them as divisive and many other things, but I have been friends with some of those guys for more than a decade so I do listen to them when they break things. The second came from PJ Media and it dealt with the the apostasy of Josh Harris, the author of the Christian book I Kissed Dating Goodbye.
Let’s examine the first one. The article is titled “BOMBSHELL: “Justice Democrats” Founder is THE Organizer of Evangelical Social Justice Movement.” Please click on the link and read the entire article. For many of us in the discernment ministries this is nothing new and we have been waiting “for the other shoe to drop” for some time. Several weeks ago during John MacArthur’s Bible conference there was a session where much of this came up and when I posted a Pulpit & Pen video about it I was lambasted by many readers on my Facebook page because they just could not believe that their favorite Christian leaders were actually doing what they really are doing to replace the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ with something else. That something else is the Social Justice Gospel, which, of course, is NOT the Gospel. It is a form of Cultural Marxism. The gist of this article is that the thrust of the movement is to move evangelical Christians away from conservative voters to liberal voters.
