13 Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, 14 or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right. 15 For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men. 16 Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God. 17 Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king. 1 Peter 2:13-17 (NASB)
As I write this it is October 29, 2020 and it has been a very trying year so far. This month, October, seems like it will never end. In any case, my wife and I voted early today because she will be having surgery on November 3rd….
We drove over to our county election board office this morning and found a line wrapping around the parking lot and down the street. We almost decided not to vote because it is still cold especially with that very strong North wind. However, we decided to go ahead, find a place to park and get in line, which we did. The line moved very slow. We got in line around 10:00 am. We finally were able to go inside and vote just before 1:00 pm. We both were able to get our ballots and vote. It was such a relief to walk out of there knowing we were done. However, as we started walking down the street toward where we were parked we noticed that the line to get in to vote had only grown longer.
