1 James, a bond-servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes who are dispersed abroad: Greetings. 2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:1-4 (NASB)
33 These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (NASB)
Wokeism which is made up of Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality are focused on the here and now, the temporal. It is focused on restructuring Christianity and society by first tearing it down and then starting over….
It claims to be Christian, but is nothing more than another form of relativistic Christianity, which attempts to refocus Christians to this present age. However, we are clearly taught throughout the New Testament that what awaits us after we leave this life is that for which we should really be preparing. In the world, we will have tribulation (θλιψιν) (John 16:33). Θλιψιν symbolically means grievous affliction or distress that applies pressure or burden upon the spirit. Θλιψιν is used to give the picture of one being crushed. At the same time we are given these warnings about our life here as resident aliens, we are also given encouragement beyond measure.
My wife and I went to a funeral today. We drove 3 hours to another part of the state to go to the funeral of a woman who was my wife’s aunt. She died while we were on vacation in Colorado. The pastor who preached the funeral sermon based it in John 16:33. As he preached that I could not help but think of all of the pressure being put on genuine believers right now by those inside the visible Church who are apostate and also from those in the governments around the world who simply want to control all of us. However, since we are in Christ, we are to have peace because Christ has overcome the World.
