29 “But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the POWERS OF THE HEAVENS will be shaken. 30 And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory. I have a calendar in my office at work from one of our hospitals. I choose it because I am passionate about my favorite hobby, which is photography. This calendar has a beautiful photo for each month of the types of pictures I like to take….
However, someone also put a philosophical saying on each one that in some cases takes away any delight I have in looking at the picture. For Instance, for the month of April the phone is one of a stream running through a meadow. The water is from snowmelt and is running very fast around trees. I like the picture, but the phase is a quote from Mahatma Gandhi, which is nearly word-for-word what I have been reading on the emergent/missional web pages describing why they are seeking this “new reformation.” Gandhi’s statement was, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”
