Dr. Michael Brown Announces Return To Ministry: ‘Some of you’d rather never see my face again’

“Expressing his “desire is to lower the temperatures, not raise them,” Brown described the process he’s submitted to over the last six months, including eagerly agreeing to the third part of the investigation, even though there was a hiccup.”

(Protestia) Dr. Michael Brown has issued his first public statement since December 17, 2024, addressing allegations of sexual misconduct that led to a six-month social media sabbatical and sharing his thoughts on the third-party investigation that was subsequently conducted.

While the investigation determined that Dr. Brown engaged in sexually abusive misconduct, his elder accountability board disagreed with this characterization, concluding instead that his actions constituted “moral indiscretions” and “leadership misconduct.” Based on this assessment, Dr. Brown was cleared to resume his ministry activities, kickstarting his return and prompting this video. Editor’s note: As a Christian apologist Michael Brown should be fully aware that his inappropriate acts were, biblically speaking, the sin of adultery. In the words of the Lord Jesus “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” According to Got Questions, “Even if a man or woman simply indulges in lustful thoughts (pornography is especially problematic), then he or she is committing adultery even if no extramarital physical contact ever takes place. This explanation by Jesus avoids all of the nuances about “how far is too far” with someone other than a spouse, and it avoids the need to define what “sex” really is. Lust, not sex, is the threshold of adultery….Adultery is deadly serious and brings God’s consequences. “A man who commits adultery has no sense; whoever does so destroys himself” (Proverbs 6:32; cf. 1 Corinthians 6:18 and Hebrews 13:4).
