(Wake up and Smell the Heresy – Facebook page) Please let’s pray for those who are/were followers of Bethel, Bolz and Todd White and for the first time are truly seeing how deceived they were. Mike Winger is doing a great service – but there are so many who are traumatized by truth. It is a good thing. It is a hard thing. Everything they have believed has been called into question because they put their trust in false leaders and a false movement.
Some will do as John Andrew Collins did after leaving The Message cult. He had to examine everything. Every belief was questioned and categorized: 1) Biblical, 2) extra-biblical, and 3) un-biblical. Scripture tells us to test all things. Hold on to what is good. Only category 1 fits that criteria.
Sadly, some will jettison everything. Some will be relieved that they finally have a reason to leave it all. That’s tragic. But so is having a false gospel and a false Jesus, a deceptive church and false prophets who spiritually abuse.
For those who hold onto faith in the biblical and true Jesus, the transition from NAR to a mainstream church, for some, feels near impossible at first. It’s so radically different. They’ve been taught that sound churches are dead churches. Many will think they’ve found a compromise and join an Association of Related Churches Network – not knowing that it’s NAR too (granted that all ARC churches may not be stealth NAR)
So, pray for those many people, that God’s truth would heal and that many will see American Gospel’s video series and have salvation, that those saved already would become keen discerners of truth and have discernment ministries as a result of this. Like exNAR prophetess Dawn Hill – she is a great teacher now. Look at the ministry of Chris Rosebrough now. Much good can come from bad. May we facilitate that in every way possible.
Christ Alone! Scripture Alone! Faith Alone! Grace Alone! For Gods Glory Alone!
