JD Greear is an American evangelical pastor, author, and theologian. He was born on May 10, 1974, in Mobile, Alabama….

Greear attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and later earned a Ph.D. in religious studies from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

His career began as a youth pastor at Macland Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Georgia. He later became the lead pastor of The Summit Church in Durham, North Carolina, a position he held from 2002 until 2020.
