Have Bill Johnson and Kris Vallotton repented?

Justin Peters Ministries

Have they repented? No. Vallotton and Johnson may have apologized for not warning the Bethel and broader body of Christ about Shawn Bolz, but that is not repentance.

They knew about Shawn Bolz prophesying by data mining social media for over a decade. Bolz has been doing this for at least 13 years. The picture is a composite of screenshots of Bolz getting “words of knowledge” by looking directly at his smart device (he used both his phone and tablet, depending upon how the mood struck him). He did this routinely in the direct presence not only of Vallotton and Johnson, but every staff member of Bethel. Every single one of them knew full well what Shawn Bolz was doing. Anyone with two firing neurons in their skull could tell what he was doing.

They didn’t find out about this in 2019, they knew about it since Bolz started doing it – and they encouraged it. This is congruent with their other willful deceptions like putting gold glitter in their ventilation system and repeatedly lying (very recently, actually) about angel feathers appearing in their services.

I, Steven Kozar, Chris Rosebrough, and others have been exposing this for a full decade in many YouTube videos. But because we are not charismatic, charismatics (the vast majority anyway) did not care.

Know this: every single staff member at Bethel has either directly lied about all of these things or remained silent in their knowledge. They have lied to their members and to the millions of people around the world who follow them.

Bolz is not only a “Google prophet,” he is also a sexual deviant with who knows how many victims. They all knew about it and yet they still endorsed him and platformed him.

Even after Mike Winger’s video dropped, Vallotton came out and did his usual gaslighting and attacked the messenger. It was only after his horrible response got such universal pushback that he then “had an encounter with the Lord” and became apologetic.

Stop blaming the Lord for your sin, Kris. The Lord gave you 66 books full of instructions and commands as to how to deal with someone like Bolz and you ignored them all.

An elder must be able to “teach sound doctrine and refute those who contradict” (Titus 1:9). There is not a single person on staff at Bethel who can do either one of these tasks. Bethel has platformed and endorsed not only obvious liars and hucksters, but also the most egregious and blasphemous heretics ever to disgrace the name of Christ. This pseudo-church has regularly taught blood-curdling heresy from which anyone with even basic biblical discernment would recoil.

They praise and platform Kenneth Copeland and Benny Hinn. If you cannot refute Kenneth Copeland or Benny Hinn, you cannot refute anyone.

And it’s not just Bethel who knew all of this. Heidi Baker knew. Todd White knew. Stacie Campbell, Che Ahn, Sean Feucht, Michael Koulianos, Daniel Kolenda, Rodney Howard Browne, Patricia King, James Goll and many others all knew. They said nothing because they are all cut from the same wolfish cloth.

Real repentance bears real fruit. Tangible fruit. Zaccheus kind of fruit. If Vallotton, Johnson, and the Bethel staff were truly repentant, they would realize they are not qualified to be behind the pulpit. They would immediately and permanently get out of ministry, shut down Bethel, liquidate its assets, and join a doctrinally sound church led by biblically qualified men, sit in the pew and learn. Anything less than that makes a mockery out of repentance.

If you attend Bethel, or are a BSSM student or follow Bethel in any way – please, please leave. The staff at Bethel does not care about you and they certainly do not care about God. If they did, they would resign in shame.

Leave Bethel and find a good church where you will be truly fed and cared for. Good churches are not a dime a dozen, but they are out there.

One final way to tell they haven’t learned anything? Attached is a screenshot of a “Prophetic Conference” Bethel is hosting next month. They advertised this last night on a loop minutes before Vallaton and Johnson got up with their crocodile tears.

Bethel. is having a conference…on prophecy.

Say, Bethel staffers, make sure you’ve got a good WiFi signal for your “prophets.” That really helps them to get those ‘words of knowledge’ from God.

And, if these folks were really prophets, they should have seen all of this coming. I’m not a prophet. I do not believe there are modern prophets. But I knew it was coming. How?

“Be sure your sin will find you out.”

That is a more sure word of prophecy.
