Talk show host Oprah Winfrey recently appeared on the “T.D. Jakes Show,” where she urged viewers to vote for Hillary Clinton, stating that “you don’t have to like her” to vote for her.
During the broadcast, Jakes, leader of the Potter’s House megachurch in Dallas, Texas, asked Winfrey how the country can be unified rather than divided.
“We have focused so much on what divides us, rather than what unites us,” he said. “You brought all types of people together that normally would not be. How are we going to get that back in this country?”
Winfrey replied by praising Jakes for his television program on the OWN Network, opining that there is no platform for “public discourse” about the issues. She also divulged why she hasn’t been outspoken herself.
