Sadly, while Zacharias had many good years of ministry, he spent much of his later years deconstructing Christianity and joining the rank-and-file social justice branch of Christendom and the likes of The Gospel Coalition and other sub-biblical movements.
(Jeff Maples – Reformation Charlotte) On May 19, 2020, notable Christian apologist Ravi Zacharias lost his battle with cancer at the age of 74.
Zacharias’ obituary reads:
Ravi Zacharias, who died of cancer on May 19, 2020, at age 74, is survived by Margie, his wife of 48-years; his three children:—Sarah, the Global CEO of RZIM, Naomi, Director of Wellspring International, and Nathan, RZIM’s Creative Director for Media; and five grandchildren.
Phil Johnson, Executive Director of Grace to You, said of Zacharias’ approach, “He sees it as a philosophical issue. The approach to faith seems to be that the groundwork needs to be laid first with rational arguments and then scripture can come in. But first a platform needs to be built for scripture to come in so that people can be persuaded by it.” (This quote is from the update below)

It seems presumptuous to speak of understanding God and his ways. And yet, he has graciously revealed himself to us! It’s not an exhaustive revelation, but it is a true and sufficient revelation. God’s self-disclosure is sufficient to humble us and make us aware of our need for his grace. It’s enough to bring us to our knees, to drive us to repentance, and compel us to worship. Order here
