The last SBC President, J.D. Greear, was so obviously a shill for the left, i.e. liberals, that whatever he said or did was really no surprise and most of us considered him something of a doofus….
However, the current 2021 SBC Convention has just elected a new President, Ed Litton who is from Alabama. Here is a link to some info about him. I have been all over Facebook and the Internet today looking at discussions about him. What I have seen is not encouraging.
Some of my friends looked at his church’s website and found that their doctrinal statement about the Trinity was more Modalistic than what is accepted as Orthodox by the SBC. Also, in my own study of of his background I found that he is all about unity through building bridges, that is, compromise. The Word of God clearly teaches us that Christian Unity is based where?
