(Luis Maguel – The New American) Attorney Sidney Powell has joined the legal effort to release individuals who are presently in federal incarceration in relation to the January 6, 2021 protest at the U.S. Capitol.
Powell is best known for defending retired lieutenant general Michael Flynn in United States v. Flynn and for participating in 2020 election lawsuits propelled by her claims that mass voter fraud occurred by means of the Dominion and Smartmatic voting machines.
Powell’s role in the effort for the January 6 detainees, whom many have described as “political prisoners,” was announced by conservative radio host Pete Santilli on his show Thursday evening.
