Great is the Lord

4 We will not conceal them from their children, But recount to the generation to come the praises of Yahweh, And His strength and His wondrous deeds that He has done. Psalms 78:4 (LSB)

God is good. He is beyond our comprehension in His magnificence and the depths of His mercy. He is Holy, Righteous, and Just. He is Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Immutable. Oh, let us praise Him from grateful hearts.

1 I will exalt You, my God, O King, And I will bless Your name forever and ever. (Psalms 145:1 (LSB)

1υψωσω σε ο θεος μου ο βασιλευς μου και ευλογησω το ονομα σου εις τον αιωνα και εις τον αιωνα του αιωνος  (Psalms 145:1 LXX)

1 I will exalt you O my God and my King and I will bless your name into the eon and into the eon of the eon. (Psalms145:1 translated from the Greek Septuagint to English)

Those who belong to the Saviour, being bought with His blood, know that their salvation, including their future glory, is all according to bringing glory to God. We do not have a clear picture of the magnitude of our salvation on this side of eternity, however, what those in Christ have been saved from is the eternal wrath of God and separation from Him and His mercy and grace forever. Let us exalt, υψωσω, Him who is our God, θεος, and King, βασιλευς. When we are finally brought into our Lord’s presence in eternity, we will then see and wonder at His magnitude and mercy and then we will bless, ευλογησω, His name forever and ever. This word, ευλογησω, is the source of our English word eulogize. We will speak well of our God forever. We will praise and worship Him continually and forever. View article →
