(John Lanagan – The Word Like Fire) The Bible Project co-founder Tim Mackie essentially endorsed contemplative Thomas Keating in thForeword to Tyler Staton’s book, Praying Like Monks, Living Like Fools. According to Mackie, “My hope is that you will come to experience prayer and the presence of God in the way Keating describes it:”

My hope is that you will not allow Keating to spiritually influence you in any way. In the following interview–less than two minutes in length–Keating’s spiritual advice seems to be that we understand there is a God, try to become God, then realize there is no God…we and God are One.
