The excised were members of Christ Covenant Church (Denver, CO) led by ‘pastor’ Scott Jarrett, who have become convinced that justification by faith alone is insufficient for salvation. Instead, they believe men and women are saved by grace through faith, but that the salvation must be maintained through faithful obedience to God’s Law….
Looking for attention and publicity, they’ve been squabbling with GCC’s Phil Johnson, who they’ve identified as their ticket to notoriety, feeding off and amplifying any morsels of acknowledgment he might give them.
