“The Kellerites correctly understood his message. Theistic evolution, Side B theology, and Social Justice were all part of Keller’s ministry. Stop pretending otherwise.”
(Ray Fava – Evangelical Dark Horse) Lately, there seems to be a debate about the legacy of Tim Keller. Evangelical Dark Web had Tim Keller’s death at #4 on our stories of the year, despite The Gospel Coalition having it at #8. The debate over legacy is exactly why the story was so important….
As time Keller’s followers are generally so liberal, there is some maneuvering conservatives have to do to justify his legacy as a positive for the church, and that maneuvering is to say that his followers misunderstood his message.
Josh Howerton exemplifies this in a recent thread:
CRN’s homepage contains a list of professing Christians to keep an eye on. Scroll down to WARNING. The list contains many people you’ll want to mark and avoid as per Rom 16:17-18 such as Tim Keller.
The conservative voice and Christian content are being silenced more and more. CRN offers a lifeline to conservative people of faith who are disgusted with Facebook, Twitter and the MSM for failing to report, even blocking, important news stories that don’t comport with the far left’s narrative.
