“Once you successfully reframe discernment as hostility, you have effectively disarmed the only people in the room who might expose you. The one person willing to say, “That’s not what Scripture teaches,” is no longer seen as faithful—he’s seen as divisive. The one asking questions is no longer careful—he’s dangerous.”
(The Dissenter) There is a peculiar pattern that repeats itself across the sprawling circus of the modern professing church—such as it is—so consistent, so predictable, that once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
A man stands on a stage, confident, polished, completely at ease. The lighting is deliberate. The pacing is practiced. Every pause feels intentional, every inflection calibrated….
He speaks with urgency, with passion, with what appears to be deep conviction. The room responds on cue with heads nodding, hands lifting, eyes closing. Some are visibly moved. A few are already wiping tears.
That’s the bait. But then, somewhere in the middle of it all, almost casually, the switch happens.
