UPDATE
“According to sources his appearance was in error. The conference organizers advertised Lawson’s participation without his knowledge or consent. They invited him to be a speaker, but before hearing that he intended to decline, there was an internal misunderstanding that led them to assume he would agree. As soon as he found out about it, he informed them of his declining the offer, and they promptly removed him from the line-up, which explains why his name and bio details disappeared after a few hours.”

(Protestia) 18 months after being removed from “all ministry activities” by Trinity Bible Church in Dallas for having an inappropriate relationship with a young woman who was not his wife, prominent preacher and speaker Steve Lawson briefly appeared as a speaker at an upcoming Christian conference before being removed hours later.
Lawson, who publicly repented of his adulterous affair in March of last year, appeared at the Contending for the Faith Expository Preaching & Teaching Conference, which is presented by the Tennessee Baptist Missionary & Educational Convention (TBMEC), a regional body of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.
