Somewhere outside of that reasonable debate and the Commonwealth courtroom, an entirely different Lindsay Clancy case has developed. On social media, mostly among leftwing women and mothers, Clancy has become something more than a criminal defendant whose mental state of mind is being judged by a jury. She’s becoming a “Joan of “Arc”-style symbol. Women claim to be donating their last pennies to help Lindsay “fight.”

And no, we’re not here to laugh at women on TikTok, sneer at struggling mothers, or pretend postpartum mental illness isn’t real.
This is much darker than all that.
Lindsay Clancy has admitted that she murdered her three young children, Cora, Dawson, and Callan, inside their Massachusetts home in January 2023, when her husband left the house. Now, what the jury must decide is whether she was criminally responsible when she strangled them to death.
