Todd Starnes reports that Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy recently joined Progressive Christians Louie Giglio and Lecrae for a roundtable discussion on racism. To learn more about these men–and you need to–scroll down to Research. The Bible tells us that believers are to confess their sins to God (Psalm 41:4; 130:4; Acts 8:22; 1 John 1:9). Scripture also teaches that God’s people should seek forgiveness from the individual that was sinned against. So we are to go to the person, confess the sin that was committed, ask the person for forgiveness, and repent.
Now to Todd Starnes’ piece. He writes:
Chief Executive Officer Dan Cathy called on White Christians to personally repent of racism.
“We, as Caucasians, until we are willing to just pick up the baton and fight for our black African-American brothers and sisters which they are as one human race, we are shameful,” Cathy said in video remarks….
“We are just adding to it. Our silence is so huge at this time.”
Cathy was part of a roundtable discussion on race relations hosted by Louie Giglio, the pastor of Passion City Church in Atlanta, and LeCrae, a popular Christian musical artist. Watch the entire video below.
“We need a period of contrition and a broken heart in the city of Atlanta,” Cathy said about injustice against Black Americans. “Most of us, white people, we’re out-of-sight-out-of-mind oblivious to it. We cannot let this moment pass.”
