11 Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts, 13 and do not go on presenting your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. 14 For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace. Romans 6:11-14 (LSB)
I have heard many Christians explain their lack of spiritual maturity as not important because, after all, they are not under law but under grace. Some take this concept even further and say things like, “God is not angry!”… Continue reading
(Scott Powell – The Patriot Post) From the beginning of recorded history, people have turned to religion as a way to find refuge, solace, and meaning. Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Islam, and most other religions point to their own prophets and teachers, but among those world religions, only Christianity has a founder who professed to be the Messiah — the Son of God. Easter is the historical account and conclusive evidence of that Messiah.
(Protestia) President Donald Trump invited prominent heretic and supporter Kenneth Copeland to be his guest at a ‘special Easter dinner’ at the White House over the weekend, with Copeland’s social media team sharing the news on Facebook:
“The administration is expected to return to the Supreme Court quickly in an effort to persuade the justices to lift their temporary order.”
“The founding fathers would be rolling in their graves. But perhaps this revelation is exactly what America needs right now – a wake-up call about what happens when we let power-hungry bureaucrats operate in the shadows, far from public scrutiny and accountability.”
“This is the logical conclusion of a movement that has abandoned biblical discernment. The charismatic movement doesn’t have a Todd White problem. It has a fundamental theological cancer that produces Todd Whites systematically. Guys like Winger will try to excise individual bad actors without addressing the underlying doctrinal rot.”
(R.C. Sproul) How is the resurrection of Christ linked to the idea of justification in the New Testament? To answer this question, we must first explore the use and meaning of the term justification in the New Testament. Confusion about this has provoked some of the fiercest controversies in the history of the church. The Protestant Reformation itself was fought over the issue of justification. In all its complications, the unreconciled and unreconcilable difference in the debate came down to the question of whether our justification before God is grounded in the infusion of Christ’s righteousness into us, by which we become inherently righteous, or in the imputation, or reckoning, of Christ’s righteousness to us while we are still sinners. The difference between these views makes all the difference in our understanding of the Gospel and of how we are saved.
“The Trump administration isn’t just fighting back against one bad ruling; it’s defending the fundamental separation of powers. This appeal systematically addresses every aspect of Boasberg’s flawed and blatantly partisan reasoning while simultaneously highlighting the urgent national security implications of these deportation flights.”
(Ray Fava – Evangelical Dark Web) Yesterday, Evangelical Dark Web reported on Grace DC, a multicampus megachurch,
“…Kilmar Abrego Garcia is an illegal alien, MS-13 gang member, and foreign terrorist who was deported back to his home country. And when Kilmar Abrego Garcia was originally arrested, he was wearing a sweatshirt with rolls of money covering the ears, mouth, and eyes of presidents on various currency denominations. This is a known MS-13 gang symbol of “Hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil.” Abrego Garcia was also arrested with two other well-known members of the vicious MS-13 gang, and two separate judges found that Abrego Garcia was a member of MS-13, and that finding has never been disputed.”
“JD Greear, Matt Hall, Ligon Duncan, Mark Dever, Russell Moore—the TGC-aligned all-star team of third-way theologians—have made careers out of dancing delicately on the tightrope of moral equivalence. They’ve spent more ink defending Democrats than opposing drag queen story hour. To them, voting blue was just a matter of “conscience.” Conscience, that is, unmoored from Scripture, tradition, reason, or reality.”
“Think about it: twelve days. That’s all it took for the system to shrug off a brutal (alleged) murder and let this kid waltz out on a ridiculously reduced bond. Meanwhile, political prisoners from J6 rotted behind bars without bond at all. And Kyle Rittenhouse, who actually acted in pure self-defense, was slapped with a $2 million cash bond and sat in jail for nearly three months.”
“The Daily Telegraph cites the remarks of Maya Forstater, the chief executive of the gender critical Sex Matters group who proclaimed that the ruling means gender self-identification is “dead”. She said of the ruling: “They thanked us for our cogent argument. It has turned the Equality Act from confused to being clear.”
“Tim Keller’s legacy has undergone a lot of debate since his death, but this is yet another disciple of his pushing liberal theology and undermining biblical sexuality.”
“These referenced snippets are but a snapshot of the information contained within the unsealed Crossfire Hurricane documents that further confirms the baselessness of the Russia collusion hoax that hindered most of Trump’s first presidency. The mentioned examples don’t even include the egregious conduct by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, the openly anti-Trump bias by FBI officials like Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, and Lisa Page, or the reported leaking of classified information about the probe by congressional Democrats and their staff to legacy media.”
(Business Wire) Salem Media Group, Inc. (OTCQX: SALM), fresh off eliminating all corporate long-term debt and growing the #1 conservative news show in America, is making its boldest move yet. Today, Salem announces a historic, multi-dimensional deal that not only adds two of the most influential voices in American media, Donald Trump Jr. and Lara Trump, but launches the company into an entirely new era of scale, relevance, and cultural power.
“The President [Biden] could not figure out how to exit the stage. So, the other President, Barack Obama, gently clasped his forearm leading him to the exit. Mr. Obama had to know that the embarrassing sequence would be caught by video cameras and broadcast worldwide.”
(Marsha West – Christian Research Network) Easter evokes images of decorative baskets filled with all sorts of goodies, cool new clothes, church services, the annual Easter egg hunt, families and friends gathering together to enjoy a sumptuous meal. Doesn’t it seem a bit odd that people will spend an entire day celebrating a make-believe rabbit?
“The statement connects Christian faith to American public life, something most politicians are too cowardly to do.”
“It should go without saying that such luncheons themselves are a sign of excess and therefore unnecessary, but it is more egregious that it is used to subvert true doctrine to the pastors’ wives on the eve of many contentious battles.”
(John Solomon – Just the News) Former National Security Agency Director Mike Rogers told FBI agents that the crux of a Pulitzer Prize award-winning Washington Post story on the Russian collusion hoax was “wrong,” according to newly declassified documents obtained by Just the News.
Special Counsel Robert Hur revealed that while he would not charge Biden “for his handling of classified documents,” in a report, he described the former president as being an “elderly man with a poor memory.”
