War Notes

“We did extensive research and could find just one positive mention of the President in six years on “60 Minutes”.  The program put on someone who said the Trump tariffs might work out.  That’s it.  One positive soundbite.  Awesome.”

(Bill O’Reilly) Here’s something strange.  President Trump’s campaign against the American media is going better than the attack on Iran.  And no ordinance is needed against the press. Continue reading

A Friend You Should Not Make

(Dan Crabtree – The Cripplegate) Gregory of Nazianzus said of his good friend Basil in the fourth century AD that they “seemed to be two bodies with a single spirit.” Likewise, Aristotle defined friendship as “one soul inhabiting two bodies.” Without fail, we share the lives of our friends and they ours, for good and for ill.

That’s why Solomon so warns his son, and by extension us, to be wise when we make friends. He says in Proverbs 13:20 “Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.” Or in Proverbs 28:7 “The one who keeps the law is a son with understanding, but a companion of gluttons shames his father.” Continue reading

What Happened to Spencer Pratt Is Why the Supreme Court Decision on Election DAY Is Key

“Raman previously endorsed Bass for mayor and then quickly became a candidate herself when she was pressured to enter the race to ice out the surprisingly surging Pratt from the top two primary. How fringe is Raman? She campaigned with the Jew hating, Al-Qaida-loving, leftist podcaster Hasan Piker, who said the U.S. deserved 9/11. Wow.”

(Victoria Taft – PJ Media) Spencer Pratt’s underdog campaign for Los Angeles mayor is now in limbo. After being in a solid second spot since Election Day Tuesday, Pratt fell to third place behind the two communists who teamed up to elbow the native Angeleno out of the race. As of this writing, Pratt’s second-place standing has been eclipsed by Nithya Raman, a far-left city councilwoman. Mayor Karen Bass has won more than 34.68% of the vote and the right to go to the November election and face the runner-up. Continue reading

Steven Spielberg Says ‘Disclosure Day’ Will Leave Christians Questioning Their Faith in God

Watch the video.

“Spielberg – who directed and co-produced the movie – feels Christians will find themselves asking of their faith and their beliefs as the movie takes the absolute position of the Church.”

(Simon Kent – Breitbart) Half a century after Steven Spielberg challenged audiences to think about what lies beyond the starry canopy that defines our universe in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, the director is again challenging accepted precepts of faith and singular belief in a supreme being. Living a Changed Life for God

11 Likewise think ye also, that ye are dead to sin, but are alive to God in Jesus Christ our Lord. 12 Let not sin reign therefore in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof: 13 Neither give ye your members, as weapons of unrighteousness unto sin: but give yourselves unto God, as they that are alive from the dead, and give your members as weapons of righteousness unto God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the Law, but under grace. Romans 6:11-14 (1599 Geneva Bible)

I have heard many Christians explain their lack of spiritual maturity as not important because, after all, they are not under law but under grace. Some take this concept even further and say things like, “God is not angry!” This is said in reference to the call for Christians to walk in repentance and put to death the sins that cling so close, et cetera….

Discernment is rooted in maturity in Christ

11 And He gave some apostles and some prophets and some evangelists and some shepherds and teachers 12 for the equipping of the saints to the work of ministry to the building up of the Body of Christ 13 until we all arrive at the unity of the faith and of the fuller knowledge of the Son of God, to complete maturity, at the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ 14 that we should not longer be infants tossed by waves and carried around by every wind of doctrine by the cunning of men with craftiness leading to the scheming of deception. Ephesians 4:11-14 (translated from the NA28 Greek text to English)

In 1887, Robert Shindler, a fellow pastor and close friend of Charles Spurgeon, wrote in Spurgeon’s publication, The Sword and the Trowel: “It is all too plainly apparent men are willing to forego the old for the sake of the new. But commonly it is found in theology that that which is true is not new, and that which is new is not true.”… Continue reading

WM. Paul Young’s Heretical Book ‘The Shack’ is Getting a Sequel

(Protestia) The best-selling “Christian” book The Shack has received a sequel. Return to the Shack: A Journey into Redemption  is set to be released on October 6, 2026.

The original novel, which sold over 23 million copies, featured Mackenzie “Mack” Phillips as a broken man still reeling from the abduction and murder of his six-year-old daughter. After he visits the remote shack where his daughter’s blood was found, he meets the Trinity in human form. Continue reading

Day 2: Rubio Enters a Hostile Clown Show, and… Well, You Just Have to See This

I’ve never seen anything like it. Again, I’m just going to have to let the video clips speak for themselves because I don’t even know how to explain it anymore than saying “Congress is a clown show.”

(Sarah Anderson – PJ Media) “Is this the Foreign Affairs Committee, or is this a circus?”

That quote from Secretary of State Marco Rubio pretty much sums up what happened on Wednesday morning when he testified before the House Foreign Affairs Committee on the FY27 Department of State Budget Request. Continue reading

PBS kids’ show Sesame Street continues sexual messaging with pride post

“Guys, there is no universe in which it makes sense to message to children about sexual desires, regardless of worldview. Stop and think about what you’re doing.”

One of TV’s longest-running children’s shows is facing backlash for once again linking its puppets to homosexuality on social media.

Sesame Street shared a post on social media Tuesday, which read: “Happy Pride Month from Sesame Street! Join us in celebrating and uplifting the [gay and lesbian] members of our community.” Continue reading

BREAKING: President Trump just ended the ‘debanking’ of conservatives…

“Nobody in this country should lose access to financial services because regulators or activists dislike their views, religion, or their lawful business. The good news is this is another step toward dismantling the weaponized system that Biden cronies built from the ground up.”

(Revolver) During the Biden era, it felt like everything was being weaponized.

Think about it. The courts were weaponized. Federal law enforcement was weaponized. Social media companies worked hand-in-glove with government officials to suppress stories and viewpoints they didn’t like. Continue reading

When ‘She Helped Me’ Isn’t a Valid Defense

“False teachers absolutely use biblical terms and they will quote scripture. But be careful, oftentimes the quoted scripture is ripped from context or only part of the verse may be used. They will make you feel good about yourself – this is the satisfying itchy ears phrase.”

(Elizabeth Prata – The End Time) Their lessons helped me! I recently posted a photo and some excerpted reviews of Beth Moore teachings from an article the author wrote 16 years ago. The article was friendly to Moore. Notwithstanding, even the friendly author noticed several of Moore’s unbiblical practices, but in the article sadly made excuses for them. Continue reading

Bethel Church Announces It Has Cut Ties With 4 Controversial ‘Prophets’

The reality is that Bethel is an assortment of false teaching and bizarre charismatic shenanigans. From ‘Little God theology,’ using prophetic Uno cards, going on satanic treasure hunts, teaching that Adam created the animals in Eden, that Michael the Archangel wears tights, and that angels sit around the throne of God having “farting contests,” it’s a hotbed of strange fire burning uncontrollably throughout Christendom, including…”

(Protestia) Bethel Church has released a new update on their ongoing efforts to create organizational health, noting that they are cutting ties with several controversial charismatic leaders they had previously platformed or endorsed. Continue reading

What Does the Lord Require of His People?

34 But when the Pharisees had heard, that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they assembled together. 35 And one of them, which was an expounder of the Law, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the Law? 37 Jesus said to him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and the great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hangeth the whole Law and the Prophets Matthew 22:34-40 (1599 Geneva Bible) .

With the takeover of the visible church by the “Innovation Cult” pragmatism is the rule. This pragmatic approach to ministry is lead by some men who have become blinded to the truth of what God requires of all those who are called by His name…. Continue reading

Why Christians consider these 10 religions to be false

“This one is tricky because Christianity actually sprouts from Jewish roots. However, the split occurs over the identity of the Messiah. Religious Judaism maintains that Jesus did not fulfill the messianic prophecies of the Old Testament and is still waiting for a savior. Christians point to hundreds of prophecies, from Isaiah 53 to Psalm 22, that Jesus fulfilled perfectly. To a Christian, rejecting Jesus means rejecting the very culmination of God’s plan for Israel. It’s like reading a mystery novel but refusing to read the final chapter that reveals the hero.”

(Lindsey Koros – The Queen Zone) Let’s be honest: in a culture that loves “coexist” bumper stickers, claiming one religion is right and others are wrong feels a bit awkward. Yet, for the approximately 2.4 billion Christians worldwide, truth isn’t a buffet where you just pick the side dishes you like. The core of the faith hangs on Jesus’ exclusive claim in John 14:6, that nobody gets to the Father except through Him. Continue reading

Where Are the Joshuas? Nearly Every California Republican Lawmaker Bowed to Islam

“The time for placeholders has passed. The hour demands Joshuas — men and women unafraid to declare truth before hostile powers. May God raise them up, and may discerning voters recognize and support them. The future of our republic, and the witness of the Church within it, may well depend on the choice.”

(Clive Cummings – Discern Report) In the heart of what was once the Golden State, a quiet surrender unfolds. California Republicans, outnumbered and often outmaneuvered, face a choice that echoes across the nation: stand boldly for truth or fade into calculated silence. An op-ed in The Christian Post recently highlighted this troubling reality, exposing how many professed conservatives in hostile territory choose self-preservation over principle. Continue reading

Jill Biden’s Memoir Is Going to Tear the Democrats Apart

“It’s just so selfish. The Bidens preached selflessness and service above all — and every decision they’ve made since he decided to run for reelection has been about themselves.” Ouch, that’s quite the indictment. And it’s coming from people who worked for the man.

The Bidens want to restore Joe Biden’s legacy after his disastrous presidency and his Hindenburg-style campaign collapse, and phase one is Jill Biden’s forthcoming memoir. The next step will be Joe Biden’s inevitable presidential memoir, which is sure to have quite a few doozies in it, but for now, we have Jill’s, and if she thought her book would “set the record straight” and the Democrat Party would be thrilled, well, that’s not what’s happening at all. Instead, it’s setting the Democrat Party on fire — and the people most enraged are the ones who spent years covering for Joe Biden. Continue reading

What is Truth?

38 Pilate *said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews and *said to them, “I find no guilt in Him. John 18:38 (LSB)

I just did a quick inventory of the number of books in my personal library that were from Dr. John MacArthur. I counted 13 books which included two John MacArthur NASB Study Bibles. One is much older than the other. A few of these books were gifts, but most were ones I bought myself. One of those was his book The Truth War. Al Mohler wrote a short review of this book that is on the back cover, which I have transcribed below. Continue reading

Thinking Christianly about Complex Topics

“The deity of Christ and Trinity are not up for discussion; certain details in eschatology should be. What’s the difference? We can only be as assertive as we have data to back it. Ask yourself how well you can support your conclusion with actual biblical information. An abundance of evidence leads to strong conclusions; weaker or conflicting evidence encourages us to wait and see.”

(Joel Arnold – Rooted Thinking) One of the hazards of intellectual Christian discourse is to anoint ourselves as the amateur evaluators of “the Christian viewpoint” on everything—science, economics, geopolitics, how governments ought to be run, aesthetics, agriculture and whatever other fields of human discourse arise.

This might start innocently enough with the desire to form a biblical worldview, applying broad biblical concepts to every part of life and every human discipline. Does God care about what we think about art or history or economics? If he cares about what we eat or drink (1 Cor. 10:31), it seems that he would. And so we embark on learning to think Christianly—learning and reflecting in ways informed by a Christian framework. Continue reading

Biblical Discernment Will Always be Politically Incorrect

There is a myth in our time that has deceived untold numbers of professing Christians. The deceived have believed the lie that Christians are not to confront and rebuke false teachers nor preach or teach anything that has the potential to cause division within the visible Church. The visible Church contains the churches we see all across this globe. This would include denominations and local churches and ministries that we can see visually and of which we can partake. The invisible Church is made up of the elect. This is the true Church of genuine believers. It is within the visible Church. Therefore, the visible Church contains both genuine believers and professing believers who are not genuine. Continue reading

One Flesh: On Marriage and Divorce

Marriage is not merely a piece of paper; it is a living picture of Christ’s unbreakable love for His Bride, the Church (Ephesians 5). By guarding the permanence of the marriage bond, the church protects the innocent, honors God’s creation design, and testifies to a watching world about the faithful, covenant-keeping love of God.”

(Tony Arsenal – Reformed Arsenal) Few institutions in the modern world have been as fiercely debated, redefined, and fractured as marriage. Contemporary culture increasingly views marriage as a fluid social contract based on personal fulfillment, to be entered and exited at will. Continue reading

Now We Know Who Was Really Behind E. Jean Carroll’s Bogus Allegations Against Trump

It wasn’t until shortly before the trial that her own attorney wrote to Trump’s legal team admitting that Carroll had “recollected additional information” while preparing for testimony. Trump’s lawyers noted that the “belated disclosure” raised “significant concerns” about Carroll’s “bias and motive.”

(Matt Margolis – PJ Media) E. Jean Carroll’s rape allegations against President Donald Trump were never credible, and now she’s under investigation by the Department of Justice for perjury. Now, Byron York is digging into the case and has uncovered what could be the most elaborate political setup in history. Continue reading

What does it mean to be filled by the Spirit?

18 And do not become drunk with wine in which is dissipation, but be filled by the Spirit, (Ephesians 5:18 translated from the NA28 Greek text to English)

What does it mean for a Christian to be “filled” by the Holy Spirit? In my translation above the preposition “by” renders the Greek word ἐν (en), “in, with, by, among, at, on, when, to, as, for, through, while, within, of, about, into, because, during, throughout, before, under.” Why did I render it as “by” instead of “with?” As Louis Sperry Chafer said, “It is not a matter of acquiring more of the Spirit, but rather of the Spirit of God acquiring all of the individual.”… Continue reading

An Authentic Biblical and Political Worldview

“But here’s the deal: embracing an authentic biblical worldview can empower you to engage in politics with purpose. It allows you to speak truth to power and advocate for justice in a way that reflects the heart of God. We’re called to be salt and light in our communities, and that means standing up for what’s right, even when it’s unpopular.”

(Patrick Hampton – The Patriot Post) In today’s fast-paced and often chaotic world, where politics and religion seem to clash at every corner, having an authentic biblical worldview is more crucial than ever. This perspective isn’t just a collection of beliefs; it’s a solid foundation that shapes how we see everything around us — our communities, our families, and our values. Continue reading

When Christians Tolerate Anything and Everybody, You Cannot Guard the Flock Against Wolves

By Marsha West

Like the Burger King Whopper, many people customize Jesus so that they can have Him their way. Nowadays the Jesus portrayed in the Bible is out! Passe! People who customize Jesus for whatever reason have no problem admitting that they do not hold to the infallibility of Holy Writ. Out with the Bible! The customizers have sculpted a modern-day culturally relevant man of the people Jesus who is fully onboard with their social justice agenda. Their Jesus would have no problem participating in a yoga class. In fact, he’d most likely lead the class. These customizers can imagine their Jesus beginning his class with the Hindu greeting: “Namaste (the divine in me bows to the divine in you).”

The person I described is “Have Him Your Way Jesus.” There is nothing biblical about him. Progressives believe that culturally relevant Jesus would march in an LGBTQIA+++ parade. He would also participate in a pro-abortion rally. Continue reading

All of the Good Shepherd’s sheep will believe and repent and be saved by Grace through faith

14 I am that good shepherd, and know mine, and am known of mine. 15 As the Father knoweth me, so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for my sheep.16 Other sheep I have also, which are not of this fold: them also must I bring, and they shall hear my voice: and there shall be one sheepfold, and one shepherd. John 10:14-16 (1599 Geneva Bible)

When those of us who came from an Arminian or Free Will background come to grips with the reality of God’s Sovereignty, it is amazing how we struggle with letting go of the responsibility to “earn” our salvation. Of course, part of that struggle is rooted in the misconception that “election” happens at salvation. Ephesians 1 makes it clear, however, that God chose His elect before the foundation of the world. An honest reading of that wonderful letter by the Apostle Paul shows us that God’s people are His in completion even though many of them have not yet believed and repented. They are our Lord’s sheep. Continue reading
