“Many of these Pagans masquerade as true believers; they speak Christian language and affirming certain Christian orthodoxies (2 Corinthians 11:13). Many charismatics such as the New Apostolic Reformation, Roman Catholics, and religious cults fall into this category. On the surface, they look like Christians. They hold to some Christian morals and values. They have a form of godliness, but deny its power (2 Timothy 3:5). When you truly examine their beliefs, you see that they have abandoned the truth and hold to damning doctrines of demons (1 Timothy 4:1).”
(Reformation Charlotte) There tends to be a great amount of resentment towards discerning believers who are quick to confront other Christians who are in sin or even false believers who are masquerading as Christians….
The argument is that it distracts from the love of Jesus and unity among the brethren.
Titus 3:10-11 is possibly one of the most twisted passages of Scripture used against discerning believers.
