Former Lesbian Petitions Obama to Hear Voices of Those Christ Has Set Free from Homosexuality

Christian News Network reports:

A former lesbian has started a petition on Change.org to ask Barack Obama to meet with and acknowledge those who have been set free from the homosexual lifestyle by the transforming power of Jesus Christ.

Janet Boynes lived as a lesbian for 14 years and now leads a ministry to help others struggling with homosexual temptation to walk victoriously in righteousness. She says that she became involved in same-sex romantic relationships as a youth as she was looking for something to satisfy her in the midst of a difficult upbringing: her father wasn’t present in the home, her mother’s boyfriend was an alcoholic, and she was sexually abused twice.

Boynes began looking for love, but in all the wrong places.

School district says feds forced policy that allows transgender kids to use bathrooms of their choice

Todd Starnes, host of Fox News & Commentary writes:

The Fairfax County Public Schools School Board voted Thursday night to add “gender identity” to its nondiscrimination policy in spite of massive opposition from parents and the area’s religious community.

Police were summoned to control a standing-room-only crowd as board members approved the controversial measure.

Critics argued it would allow boys who identify as girls to use the bathrooms and locker rooms of their choice — and vice versa. Parents also had concerns about the possibility of transgender teachers.

Christian Singer Amy Grant Partners With Pro-Abortion Gates Foundation

According to Berean Research :

Amy Grant

Christian recording artist Amy Grant is joining forces with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to push birth control and contraceptives in developing nations. Since Grant says she is pro-life it seems odd that she would work with any foundation that has given pro-abortion groups millions of dollars to advance their agenda. According to LifeNews:

“Planned Parenthood of America, the International Planned Parenthood Federation, and Planned Parenthood of Western Washington about $71 million from before 2009 through 2013. Additionally, the Gates Foundation gave $46.1 million to Marie Stopes International in 2012 alone.

Much of this giving is focused on Africa, Asia, and Latin America, where abortion-providers like Planned Parenthood, Marie Stopes, and Ipas seek to overturn pro-life laws and sometimes even provide illicit abortion drugs.”

Amy Grant is asking her fans to join her in her work. Sadly, her work now includes a partnership with a staunchly pro-abortion foundation.

However, Lewis recently was given four straight zeros in her humanities class by Professor Lance “L.J.” Russum for being unwilling to answer his assignments about Christianity in the way that he wanted—which she believed was antithetical to, and hostile to, the faith.

Rick Warren’s weight-loss plan named Christian Book of the Year

Berean Research reports:

Rick WarrenThe prestigious award given to Rick Warren is an indication of how little discernment the Christian community has. To name The Daniel Plan book of the year, when the men who helped Warren write his weight-loss plan are proponents of New Age/New Thought mysticism, to include Oprah’s “favorite doctor,” Mehmet Oz, is a travesty. Obviously Christians who purchased the book are unaware that Dr. Oz is a Muslim and has been influenced by the mysticism of Sufi Muslims and is keen on the ideas of cultist mystic Emanuel Swedenborg.

Who are the co-authors of the book? Noted doctors Mark Hyman and Daniel Amen. Dr. Amen, who is a professing Christian, is a psychiatrist and brain imaging specialist and a practitioner of Tantra, which is the use of Hinduistic-type mysticism during sexual intercourse. Dr. Mark Hyman is a practitioner in alternative therapies in health and medicine and is a secular Jew. So the burning question is: Why would a Christian pastor elicit the services of doctors who are up to their eyeballs in the occult to help write The Daniel Plan: 40 Days to a Healthier Life? Inquiring minds want to know.

Those who are unfamiliar with Pastor Warren’s witch’s brew can read about it here.

U.S. Supreme Court Declines to Hear Appeal Over N.J. Ban on Helping Homosexual Youth

Christian News Network reports:

The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to hear an appeal over a New Jersey law that bans therapists and counselors from providing help to homosexual youth to overcome temptation.

As previously reported, reiterating his belief that homosexuality is “not a sin,” the Republican governor of New Jersey signed a bill into law in August 2013 that bans the use of conversion or reparative therapy, or to otherwise help minors who are struggling with feelings toward those of the same sex.

Text of the bill notes that the law bans “the practice of seeking to change a person’s sexual orientation, including, but not limited to, efforts to change behaviors, gender identity, or gender expressions, or to reduce or eliminate sexual or romantic attractions or feelings toward a person of the same gender.” However, the regulation does not apply to counseling that seeks to affirm homosexual emotions or behaviors.

Pastors push musical “tones” to reach God and heal our DNA

Musical tonesForget the Bible and the Holy Spirit – now you can transform your soul, heal the sick and injured, and experience the presence of God – through musical notes played at a specific frequency.

Okay, please don’t forget the Bible and the Holy Spirit – I was kidding. But if you are wondering how professing Christians are assimilating New Age thought, practices and outright sorcery into their worship, you might want to know about a “new thing” that caught my eye: WholeTones. Promoters of this specially formulated ethereal music are making some pretty astounding promises, saying that the vibrations of certain songs will:

Huffington Post gay editor calls for “intolerance” toward “antigay-media”

A group known for exposing media bias,News Busters, reports:

The media is not pro-gay enough. In fact, according to Michelangelo Signorile, the media is explicitly anti-gay. It’s hard to argue with crazy.

The editor of Huffington Post’s Gay Voices, Signorile, is calling for the media to be intolerant “of all forms” of “bigotry against LGBT people.” And by bigotry, he means anything less than celebration.

In Signorile’s new book, It’s Not Over: Getting Beyond Tolerance, Defeating Homophobia and Winning True Equality he whines that the media is not gay-friendly in the least. Indeed, he claims, “a higher level of vocal hate appears to be tolerated of all pundits when it’s directed at gays.”

His reasoning? Well, from time to time conservative and Christian pundits are given air time on the major networks. That’s right, Signorile protests at the very notion that someone who disagrees with his lifestyle is allowed to speak in public.

Atheists Seek Investigation Into Christian’s “Presence” in Debate Class to Speak on Critical Thinking

Christian News Network reports:

An atheist group has requested an investigation into the presence of a recognized biblical creation leader and debater at a Georgia high school, where he recently spoke to students about critical thinking.

In late March, Eric Hovind, the president of the Florida-based ministry Creation Today, addressed a debate class at Troup County Comprehensive High School in LaGrange. Hovind says that his talk did not include mention of his faith or creation, but was rather a general discussion on critical thinking.

But as Hovind had engaged in a debate with a local humanist two days prior and had posted a photo of the event on social media, and since he is a born-again Christian who is known to speak against evolution, atheists became upset with school officials for allowing Hovind to address students.
