(Dean Good – Grace Church) Over the years I have heard references to and quotes from this little work. Recently I have been asked by several people about this book. So I finally read it. As I read it, I was somewhat amazed that evangelical Christians would recommend it (as so many do these days). I will, therefore, take the time to critique this ‘Christian classic’ in some detail, using it as an exercise in discernment.

(The Dissenter) The Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) industry is a modern-day embodiment of false worship and idolatry—mooching off the name of Christ to launch careers, only to end up apostatizing, blaspheming Him, and supporting the very things God abhors, like homosexuality, abortion, and more. This industry is a prime example of how worship can become a shallow veneer—think of a gold-plated apple that’s rotten to the core—masking a reality of self-indulgence and rebellion against God’s holiness.

The Angel Studios (AS) team was involved for 8 years in producing the series. AS never hid the fact that they are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints a.k.a

(Protestia) In a continued blistering indictment against the destructive and damned United Methodist Church denomination, their largest overseas jurisdiction has voted to cut ties with them over their support of same-sex marriage and all things gay at their General Conference earlier this month, resulting in a loss of over a million members in a single day.

Which brings me to Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Taylor Swift who’s a professing Christian. I admit that I’m not a “Swifty” fan. And I’m not inclined to listen to her music or follow her on social media (nor do I follow any entertainer). However, a friend insisted that her recent songs contain satanic and witchcraft themes. Hearing this drove me to YouTube where I discovered “Willow.” While I watched the production, I paid close attention to the lyrics so that I could discern whether or not Taylor Swift promotes witchcraft. After viewing that video several times I agree with my friend that “Willow” is teaming with witchcraft themes. Don’t take my word for it. Go to the link *below* and judge for yourself.
