Update below.
“ERLC head Brent Leatherwood offered the same talking points as the left-wing media and Democrat Party, telling Baptist Press that Biden “walked away from power” in a “selfless act.” Leatherwood then gave further life to this lie in an essay that compared the Oval Office being pried from Biden’s desperate, bony fingers to Calvin Coolidge’s measured choice not to run again though Coolidge enjoyed enough popularity to win reelection handily.”
(Megan Basham – Clear Truth Media) Immediately after Joe Biden posted a statement on social media Sunday announcing his withdrawal from the presidential race, Democrats, the media, and Hollywood pretended it was the result of selflessness rather than political assassination. Continue reading
“Democrats aren’t worried that Biden’s cognitive decline is a real, serious, and immediate threat to national security. They only fretted about Biden’s electoral ability to carry a far-left administration forward for another term.”
“Is he so far gone at this point that he has to be kept under wraps while others, presumably the people who have been running this administration from the beginning, make decisions in his name? That wouldn’t be too different from how things have been going, but up until now, Old Joe has, however ineptly, been performing his duties as the front man. Now, for his most important announcement of this election campaign, he is nowhere in sight and all we get is a letter on X?”
“The GOP is doing its best this year to embody the coexist bumper sticker, and while I’m no political expert, I’m very certain of this truth: pagans gonna pagan. My contention is that no mature believer should be the least surprised by this.”
“They saw the videos we saw, and then they lied about them to protect a man they knew wasn’t fit to serve as president. What’s more, they saw Biden a lot more than we did. They saw him at political events, at gatherings… They saw him at the White House… They talked to the people around them… They knew more than we did and still they covered up this obvious danger to our country.”
“Although we rejoice in Christ’s victory over the grave, we nevertheless fear death. Christians are not guaranteed exemption from a painful death. Nevertheless, the thought of death often brings fear for Christians and non-Christians alike. That fear is bound up with the question of what happens after death.”
“One of the psychological attractions of conspiracy theories is the same thing that attracts people to Gnosticism: the thrill of secret knowledge, knowing something that mere ordinary people do not know. This is part of the attraction of movements like QAnon.”
“A Wall Street Journal report notes that the killer had a drone that he used to survey the property. Meanwhile, the Secret Service did not have a drone.”
“The “no creed but the Bible” slogan may have its roots in the Stone-Campbellite movement, but its influence certainly did not remain there. American culture quite tangibly venerates the autonomous human will, the idol our culture has chosen to worship with a fiercely affectionate fidelity. But should such voluntarism and self-rule find its home within the church?”
(John Daniel Davidson – The Federalist) It’s difficult to describe historical moments as they’re unfolding, but let me hazard a few initial observations about former President Donald Trump’s speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday night.
(Ray Fava – Evangelical Dark Web) JD Vance being called to serve as Trump’s running mate is not without detractors. The main detractors are the Groypers and the Classical Liberals/Neocons. With that said, the messaging of JD Vance has been consistent, in that he is intended to resonate with the forgotten American who has a high view of America as a homeland. Regardless of Vance’s flaws, where he seems most effective for the long term, is his ability to destroy the Proposition Nation.
“Former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton have remained silent, as has former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, but their former aides have been speaking out, slamming Biden publicly.”
While you read this piece and watch the video clips below, keep in mind that the president of the United States is considered to be the leader of the free world.
(Joy Pullmann – The Federalist) It’s
“Democrats have a problem called Jill Biden. The trappings of the presidency will be taken from her cold, dead fingers. ‘Joe isn’t just the right person for the job,’ she hollered after the [Trump/Biden] debate. ‘He’s the only person for the job.’ What a knife in the back of Kamala Harris.”
“Language matters, and while both sides are quite capable (and often guilty) of using overheated and violent language, the political left in the United States has demonized Donald Trump and has fueled the atmosphere of violent language and imagery. Biden’s language of putting a “bullseye” on Trump is perhaps the clearest example. That language has not aged well, to say the least.”
“They always hide behind the poor saps who have to carry out their insane, disastrous policies. No one doubts the courage of individual soldiers in Afghanistan or Border Patrol agents along the Rio Grande or the Secret Service agents who rushed the stage in Pennsylvania. What we doubt is the ability of the people in charge even to recognize the difference between success and failure.”
“There is no disagreement about President Biden’s status among powerful Dems: he is in danger of losing to Donald Trump. Thus, he must quit the race as soon as possible. Barack Obama despises Trump and will not allow a MAGA victory.”
Biggs makes it sound like the bullet will bust his eardrum because it misses his head. Instead, we see the bullet actually hit him, with no indication that his eardrum is burst. Biggs claims that in this moment, Trump fell to his knees and was “worshiping the lord” and was “radically born again.”
“This isn’t merely about Trump or politics—it’s about worldview. Conservatives share absolutely nothing with those who support the systematic murder of innocent unborn children. Absolutely nothing with those who want to push harmful transgender ideologies on children. And nothing with those who believe the state is a higher authority than God, and who want everyone to bow to this secular deity.”
“Democrats wouldn’t listen. They covered it up, lied, maligned anyone who told the truth.”
“Thomas Nelson did not openly correct the theology but tried to conceal the occultic origins and channeling practices from the reader. Why is there a need to omit, for example, her claim that the book God Calling was the major inspiration for her book?”
“In our families, we should teach our children from the Word so that they will know the truth, see the truth as critical to our lives at every level, and encouraging them how to recognize lies, repent of falsehoods, and how to live in the light of Christ in all things.”
“Even modern worship music has been hijacked by this self-esteem gospel. Songs that should exalt God instead turn the spotlight inward, celebrating the individual’s worth and potential. Lyrics are crafted to evoke an emotional high, a sense of personal affirmation that leaves one feeling good but spiritually malnourished. It’s a far cry from the hymns of old that directed our gaze heavenward, reminding us of our utter dependence on God’s grace.”
Scarborough added that Joe Biden “is deeply resentful of his treatment under not only the Obama staff but also the way he was pushed aside for Hillary Clinton,” and is similarly resentful of the effort to get him to drop out of the presidential race. “He’s always felt like an outsider, always felt like people have looked down upon him.”
