Ashley Judd Accuses Donald Trump of Having ‘Wet Dreams’ About His Daughter at Women’s March

Actress and left-wing zealot Ashley Judd had some very nasty things to say about President Donald Trump at the star-studded DC march on Saturday. After viewing the video it is CRN’s opinion that unhinged is an appropriate way to describe the Hollywood star. According to Breitbart “During Saturday’s Women’s March in Washington, DC, Ashley Judd ranted, “I am not as nasty as your own daughter being your favorite sex symbol, like your wet dreams infused with your own genes.”

Judd’s disgusting rant becomes far worse than that, so before you click the link we warn you to brace yourself.

Evangelical Fuller Seminary to Lead Plan to Foster Unity With Muslims, Address Islamophobia

Fuller Theological Seminary was once a prestigious seminary. Not anymore. According to Berean Research, “Fuller was one of the first seminaries to become infected by emergent thought.”  BR also reported that professor Daniel Kirk changed his position on LGBT inclusion in the church and announced that he now fully affirms same-sex relationships.

That was in Oct 2015.  Now The Gospel Herald is reporting that “Fuller Seminary teams are working with Calvin Theological Seminary and the Lausanne Movement to assemble American evangelical leaders across a broad spectrum of perspectives, values and commitments to foster unity and solidarity in Christian approaches to engaging Muslims.”  Moreover, “a meeting of evangelical leaders is slated to be held at Calvin Theological Seminary this August. Deemed an ‘intra-evangelical’ conversation, the meeting will address respective hopes, fears and questions about moving toward more positive, unified relationships with Muslims.”

Fuller is promoting unity with Islam, which is a pagan religion, in spite of the fact that God commands His people: Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? (2 Cor 6:14).

Julie Brown Patton has the story:

Fuller Theological Seminary received a new $50,000 grant from the Henry Luce Foundation to assist evangelical communities in fostering peaceful, respectful engagement with Muslims neighbors. Fuller is the largest multi-denominational seminary in the world.

Mark Labberton and Richard Mouw, president and president emeritus of Fuller Theological Seminary, suggest dedicated work is needed to bring together American evangelicals to address hostility toward Muslims and find ways to counter Islamophobia.

Within the American context, both Islam as a religion, and its Muslim adherents, continue to garner a lion’s share of the public’s attention said Labberton.

‘Ecumenism For Trump’ Trumps Scriptural Commands For Key Evangelical Leaders

Bud Ahlheim off Pulpit & Pen reminds us that God commands His people not to engage in a spiritual enterprise with non-believers.  And yet some high profile evangelical leaders ignored the Lord’s command and participated in an interfaith prayer service at the National Cathedral. Ahlheim reveals who these men are:

There’s a supplicant from the Navaho Nation. A few from the now-defunct faith of Judaism. There are Roman Catholics. There’s at least one Hindu. Mormons are represented, as are Baha’is of the United States. Islam and Sikh’s will be there. Episcopalians, Greek Orthodox, Presbyterians, independent charismatics, and Buddhism have a place in the line-up too. And, because no event of ecumenism could possibly be complete without them, so too will Southern Baptists be involved.

The Washington National Cathedral is the site for the “interfaith” prayer service that is to be held the day after the inauguration. Many high profile evangelicals have been involved in the event during recent history. In 1985, Billy Graham preached a sermon at Reagan’s inaugural service.   Since then, the likes of Foursquare’s Jack Hayford, Soujourners’ Jim Wallis, and North Point’s Andy Stanley have all stood on the dais.

Be encouraged!

6 And he said to me, “These words are faithful and true”; and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent His angel to show to His bond-servants the things which must soon take place.

7 “And behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book.” Revelation 22:6-7 (NASB)

Here is v7 in Greek:

7 καὶ ἰδοὺ ἔρχομαι ταχύ. μακάριος ὁ τηρῶν τοὺς λόγους τῆς προφητείας τοῦ βιβλίου τούτου. Revelation 22:7 (NA28)

The words “behold, I am coming soon” in Greek are ἰδοὺ ἔρχομαι ταχύ, which literally says, “Behold, I come quickly.” The word ταχύ, quickly, can also mean “without delay” or “by surprise” or “suddenly.” If we look at the context, we see that this part of Revelation follows the central visionary section of the book. From v6 on, we see promise, exhortation, and confirmation all with the goal of stirring up hope for the coming of the Lord Jesus. However we translate ταχύ, we must remember that our Lord spoke these words and He meant them to be an encouragement to us. Therefore, as we look at the hostile takeover of the visible church by the wicked, instead of being discouraged, we should look to the soon return of our Lord, who will settle all accounts. Therefore, our part must be to remain faithful regardless of what these evil people are doing. Even if every church in our town goes hard after these new “missional” and “spiritual formation” teachings, we do not have to be part of that nor can we. We must not follow after these things even if we become quite lonely and separate from the crowd. God knows all about this and will sustain us. View article →

Obama Shows His True Colors as He Leaves Office

“With no reason to suppress his more radical instincts any longer, the president embraced them on his way out the door,” wrote syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer in a piece published over at National Review.  What did the former president do on his way out that was so radical?  Krauthammer reveals the details:

Barack Obama did not go out quietly. His unquiet final acts were overshadowed, in part by a successor who refused to come in quietly, and in part by Obama’s own endless, sentimental farewell tour. But there was nothing nostalgic or sentimental about Obama’s last acts. Two of them were simply shocking. Perhaps we should have known. At the 2015 White House Correspondents’ Dinner, he joked about whether he had a bucket list: “Well, I have something that rhymes with bucket list.”

Turns out, he wasn’t kidding. Commuting the sentence of Chelsea Manning, one of the great traitors of our time, is finger-in-the-eye willfulness. Obama took 28 years off the sentence of a soldier who stole and then released through WikiLeaks almost half a million military reports plus another quarter-million State Department documents.

The cables were embarrassing; the military secrets were almost certainly deadly. They jeopardized the lives not just of American soldiers on two active fronts — Iraq and Afghanistan — but of locals who were, at great peril, secretly aiding and abetting us. After Manning’s documents release, the Taliban “went on a killing spree” (according to intelligence sources quoted by Fox News) of those who fit the description of individuals working with the United States.

Praying for Political Leaders

Biblical Counseling Coalition has a piece by Paul Tautges where he discusses why praying for political leaders is so important. First and foremost, God commands us to pray for them. Tautges writes:

When we commit to praying for our leaders (whether or not we agree with them), God is pleased with us and is pleased to work in their hearts according to His will. In relation to this divinely given duty, one passage in particular contains fundamental principles every believer needs to understand. Paul says in 1 Tim. 2:1–4:

First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

In these verses we hear the apostle’s plea to us to be obedient to God by praying for our leaders.

Liberal churches are dying as conservative churches thrive

In a piece over at Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, David Millard Haskell, professor of religion and culture at Wilfrid Laurier University, discusses a new study he conducted and some of his findings.  What will surely surprise many professing Christians is this:

[C]onservative Protestant theology, with its more literal view of the Bible, is a significant predictor of church growth, while liberal theology leads to decline.

According to Haskell:

Mainline Protestant churches are in trouble: A 2015 report by the Pew Research Center found that these congregations, once a mainstay of American religion, are now shrinking by about 1 million members annually. Fewer members not only means fewer souls saved, a frightening thought for some clergy members, but also less income for churches, ensuring their further decline.

Faced with this troubling development, clergy members have made various efforts to revive church attendance. It was almost 20 years ago that John Shelby Spong, a U.S. bishop in the Episcopalian Church, published his book “Why Christianity Must Change or Die.” It was presented as an antidote to the crisis of decline in mainline churches. Bishop Spong, a theological liberal, said congregations would grow if they abandoned their literal interpretation of the Bible and transformed along with changing times.

How to know who the false prophets are

4 And Jesus answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. 6 You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. 8 But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. 9 “Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. 10 At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. 12 Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. 14 This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24:4-14 (NASB)

When I encounter those whose theology and eschatology has been colored by presuppositions, philosophies, and the teachings of some theologians that the Church’s main function is to establish and prepare God’s Kingdom here on this Earth so the Lord will return and to claim it, I wonder how seriously these people take Scripture passages such as Matthew 24:4-14 (above). These same people are all about making all secular culture conform to Christianity. I find it very difficult to line that up with what our Lord said in Matthew 24 about what things would be like before he actually did return. What is the reality? Will the Church totally take over the world in this age? From what I have studied in the New Testament, the Church is a called out “congregation” of people that are despised, persecuted, and put to death for their faith as they live for the glory of their Lord in this life. The point of that is to attain a greater resurrection in the next age. Let’s see what our Lord said about the reality of what we have to deal with in this age as the Church. View article →

‘Hamilton’ Creator Celebrates Terrorist

Recently, soon to be former President Barack Obama commuted the sentence of convicted terrorist Oscar Lopez-Rivera which came as a shock to many Americans. Heather Hunter of Lifezette reveals that “Lopez-Rivera was a leader of the FALN Marxist Puerto Rico terrorist group, which claimed responsibility for more than 120 domestic bombings, resulting in several dead, dozens injured, and millions of dollars in property damage. He used his apartment to coordinate bomb-making efforts.” Evidently the creator of the hit broadway play “Hamilton” is a fan of the terrorist. Hunter has the details:

Remember back in November when Vice President-Elect Mike Pence took his family to see the Broadway musical “Hamilton,” and the actor who plays Aaron Burr lectured and harassed him from the stage?

And remember Lin-Manual Miranda, creator of “Hamilton,” who applauded the highly irregular instance of that actor, Brandon Dixon, using the theatrical platform to deliver a broadside against the newly elected administration?

Well, earlier this week, President Obama granted 209 commutations and 64 pardons in one day. Most of us focused on the commutation of Chelsea Manning’s sentence. The U.S. Army private, who was serving 35 years for leaking thousands of classified documents to WikiLeaks, now will get out in May.

Defrauding Millions: Bethel Church and Benny Hinn Together

Jeff Maples of Pulpit & Pen reports that arch heretic Benny Hinn, who is well known for “fake healings, false prophecies and promises of fortune through his false teachings” was invited to grace the stage of Bethel Church in Redding CA by NAR “Apostle” Bill Johnson who pastors the church. Maples writes:

If you go to an evangelical church in America, you’ve probably heard Bethel’s music. This means that your church is paying royalties to Bethel Church and their artists which directly supports their ministries. Songs like This is Amazing Grace by Phil Wickham and Love Came Down by Bizzy B are popular songs you’d probably recognize from your modern worship service. While being able to rightly refer to this music as “worship” is questionable, at best, one thing is for certain–their music supports the church that backs them. And that church is Bethel Church in Redding, California.

Bethel Church is a New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) church pastored by the “Apostle,” Bill Johnson. Bethel Church is a hothouse for serious theological error and heresy. Bill Johnson and his associates are advocates of the heresy known as Word of Faith (WoF), which teaches that through your words you have the ability to access the power of your faith or your fears–that is, your words have power. It is then taught that this power can be used to funnel material wealth and health into your life.

CNN: Assassinating Trump Could Keep Obama Administration in Power

CNN host Wolf Blitzer and contributor Brian Todd spent valuable airtime fantasizing about what would happen if the far left’s dream came true and both Donald Trump and Mike Pence were blown up on Inauguration Day. Breitbart has the disturbing story:

As the nation prepares for the peaceful transfer of power on Inauguration Day, CNN is dreaming up scenarios whereby the Obama administration can keep power if President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence were blown up as they prepared to take to oath of office.

On the Wednesday, January 18 broadcast of CNN’s The Situation Room, host Wolf Blitzer aired a segment with a chyron featuring the headline “Developing Now.” During that “developing” segment, Blitzer and correspondent Brian Todd discussed what would happen if the unthinkable occurred on January 20.

Blitzer introduced the segment, saying, “What if an incoming president and his immediate successors were wiped out on day one?” and from there, CNN contributor Brian Todd took over to outline the line of succession if an attack blew up the inaugural dais, killing both Trump and Pence.

Consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus

6 But the righteousness based on faith speaks as follows: “DO not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down), 7 or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).” 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, 9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. Romans 10:6-10 (NASB)

Since God drew me into spiritual boot camp in 2004 I have read many of the Reformers.  I have also read as much as I can of what are referred to as the Ante-Nicene Fathers such as Polycarp and Irenaeus. The Reformers were used by God to recover the Gospel which had become hidden and corrupted by the apostate Roman Catholic Church. The Reformers such as Luther and Calvin were good theologians, but also former Catholics. Their form of “religiosity” was highly effected by their years in the R.C.C. On the other hand, Polycarp was a disciple of the Apostle John while Irenaeus was his disciple. Reading them gives us a very different view of “church structure.”  Nowhere in their writings do we see state churches or massive cathedrals or Christian leaders becoming national leaders, etc. No, they served the Lord during a time when Christians were persecuted, that is, during the time of the Roman Empire. Bishops had been appointed by the Apostles and these Bishops would appoint Bishops in other churches they planted and select their successors. Irenaeus said that way of doing things kept the church from pursuing false teachers and false doctrines because they had the Word from Apostles themselves (the New Testament) and their teachings passed down directly from them to their Bishops who passed it down and so forth. As I read about their focus during that time in Church History they talked a great deal about “The Resurrection.” Polycarp was martyred when he was in his late 80’s  because he would not worship Caesar as lord. He told the Romans who were going to burn him that he was excited about his “better resurrection” because he was going to share in the sufferings of Christ. I’m sorry, but I don’t see or hear much preaching or teaching about the resurrection in our time that we should be excited about it like Polycarp was. Instead, we hear about Heaven. View article →

Leaving the NAR Church: Dina’s Story

Berean Research presents Dina’s compelling story of how she left the New Apostolic Reformation cult.:

“I was so addicted to the experience that I was always on the hunt for more.”

Dina’s story is one of many from people I’ve met who desire as I do to see the NAR (New Apostolic Reformation) movement exposed for what it is: An anti-biblical counterfeit that sounds almost like biblical Christianity.

In this series, I want to take readers beyond the textbook What is the New Apostolic Reformation Movement explanation, into the personal experiences from those who have been there, and what happened when God opened their eyes to the truth.

Eight years ago, Dina left the church she was a member of.  This is her story in her own words.

The president is rushing to fill dozens of federal vacancies before President-elect Donald Trump takes office on Friday.

The White House announced the appointments in a pair of press releases published on Monday and Tuesday. Athletes including gymnast Gabby Douglas, basketball players Kareem Abdul-Jabaar and Jason Collins, and soccer star Carli Lloyd were appointed as members of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition. Collins, who made history four years ago when he became the first openly gay player in the NBA, and Lloyd are slotted to chair the council.

The High Priestly Prayer

1 Jesus spoke these things; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You, 2 even as You gave Him authority over all flesh, that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life. John 17:1-2 (NASB)

In John 17, we have the transition marking the end of Jesus’ earthly ministry and the beginning of His intercessory ministry for all believers (Hebrews 7:25). This has been called “The High Priestly Prayer,” however; it does summarize John’s entire Gospel. For instance, its principal themes include Jesus’ obedience to His Father, the glorification of His Father through His death and exaltation, the revelation of God in Jesus Christ, the choosing of the disciples out of the world, their unity modeled on the unity of the Father and the Son, and the believers final destiny in the presence of the Father and Son. There are three main sections to this prayer. In vv1-5, we have Jesus’ prayer for Himself. In vv 6-19, we have Jesus’ prayer for the apostles. In vv20-26 we have Jesus’ prayer for all New Testament believers who will form the Church. View article →

Jennifer LeClaire Claims ‘New Age Angels of Transition’ Will Save America?

Charismatics dabble in all sorts of strange practices these days.  In this case, an occult practice known as telepathic communication….with angels, supposedly. If Jennifer LeClaire knew anything at all about the Bible, she’d be aware that God’s people are to have nothing whatsoever to do with sorcery.  In fact, He forbids it:

There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD… (Deut 18:10-12)

The Lord is not kidding around!  So why would any professing Christian dabble in sorcery? Two words: Zero discernment.  Lack of discernment is epidemic in the visible Church.

Ms LeClaire needs to go to the Bible to find out what it teaches about angles because what she’s been teaching people is not from Scripture. If she took the time to study God’s Word, she’d know that He has made it crystal clear that spirits, including angels, are not to be evoked, called on, invited in, or channeled. Believers must never attempt to connect with spirits and we certainly shouldn’t try to glean information from them.  Our Lord Jesus would tell demons to keep quiet!

Jennifer LeClaire is leading people astray as you will see in Chris Rice’s blog post over at Museum of Idolatry:

We are witnessing the merging of New Age channeling and false prophetic pronouncements from Charismaniacs, who have once again reached deep into their Charismania Adjective Grab Bag to give their latest vain imagination an air of credibility.

The Charismania Adjective Grab Bag has a simple formula. First, come up with a vain imagination and claim it’s from God. Second, pin a legitimate Bible word to it. Third, reach deep into your bag of adjectives, and feel around for a correct sounding adjective. If you need a little help with ideas, the demons are more than happy to plant words in your head; or if you are a New Age channeler, you would say that you have “telepathic communication from Guardian Angels and Spirit Guides.”

Democratic Rep. Files Resolution to Recognize ‘Darwin Day’ on Feb. 12

Christian News reports:

A Democratic lawmaker filed a resolution in the House of Representatives that, if approved, would recognize February 12, 2017, as “Darwin Day” and celebrate the father of evolution’s contributions to science.

House Resolution 44, filed on Wednesday by Democratic Rep. James Himes of Connecticut, seeks to honor Darwin on the 208th anniversary of his birth.

“Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution by the mechanism of natural selection, together with the monumental amount of scientific evidence he compiled to support it, provides humanity with a logical and intellectually compelling explanation for the diversity of life on Earth,” the resolution asserts.

In addition to celebrating Darwin and his legacy, the resolution criticizes biblical creation, claiming it undermines the well-being of the nation’s education systems.

In US, More Adults Identifying as LGBT

There’s a new poll out that shouldn’t surprise anyone. According to Gallup:

  • 10 million American adults identify as LGBT (4.1%)
  • LGBT millennials up from 5.8% in 2012 to 7.3% in 2016
  • LGBT identification higher among women

The portion of American adults identifying as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT) increased to 4.1% in 2016 from 3.5% in 2012. These figures, drawn from the largest representative sample of LGBT Americans collected in the U.S., imply that more than an estimated 10 million adults now identify as LGBT in the U.S. today, approximately 1.75 million more compared with 2012.

Reproving the works of darkness

9 I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people; 10 I did not at all mean with the immoral people of this world, or with the covetous and swindlers, or with idolaters, for then you would have to go out of the world. 11 But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a one. 12 For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? 13 But those who are outside, God judges. Remove the wicked man from among yourselves. 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 (NASB)

It has been put forth that the apologists for the Seeker-Sensitive movement in the visible church insist that they are justified in what they do because God is blessing their ministries with explosive growth and so it is wrong for us to oppose them. They cite Acts 5:33-39 to support this thesis. Carefully read the following passage. The bold section contains Gamaliel’s advice, which the Purpose Driven, Missional, Seeker Sensitive, and/or Emergent folks cite.

33 But when they heard this, they were cut to the quick and intended to kill them. 34 But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the Law, respected by all the people, stood up in the Council and gave orders to put the men outside for a short time. 35 And he said to them, “Men of Israel, take care what you propose to do with these men. 36 For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and a group of about four hundred men joined up with him. But he was killed, and all who followed him were dispersed and came to nothing. 37 After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census and drew away some people after him; he too perished, and all those who followed him were scattered. 38 So in the present case, I say to you, stay away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or action is of men, it will be overthrown; 39 but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them; or else you may even be found fighting against God.” Acts 5:33-39 (NASB)

If we blindly follow this reasoning then it would appear that it was wrong for Jesus to oppose the Pharisees, Paul to oppose the Judiazers, the early Church to oppose Gnosticism, Athanasius to stand firm against Arianism, and Augustine to oppose Pelagianism. We are not being told in Acts 5:33-39 that the right way for the Church to deal with apostasy within the Church is to tolerate it hoping God will stop it as we silently observe. No, we are given plenty of commands in the New Testament on how to deal with judging those inside the Church who are guilty of things that are not to be named amongst the Brethren. View article →

No Middle Ground: Evangelical Leaders Reject Compromise on LGBT and Religious Rights

Christianity Today’s Kate Shellnutt reveals who the leaders are and tells us why they refuse to compromise. Albert Mohler addresses Shellnutt’s piece in The Briefing under the heading “Religious liberty in the balance: Why the Fairness for All campaign is a threat to religious liberty.” Dr. Mohler warns that the LGBT revolutionaries won’t settle for any sort of compromise. Evangelicals know this all too well.

Now to Shellnutt’s piece:

Compromises designed to safeguard both religious freedoms and LGBT rights won’t fly among many of America’s most influential conservative Christians.

Leaders from nearly 90 evangelical seminaries, publications, ministries, and churches—as well as Catholic and Orthodox clergy—signed a statement last month rejecting any legal efforts to protect sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI).

“[We] believe that proposed SOGI laws, including those narrowly crafted, threaten fundamental freedoms,” they wrote as part of the “Preserve Freedom, Reject Coercion” campaign, hosted by the Colson Center for Christian Worldview.

The declaration follows months of conversations among Christian college leaders around the Fairness for All strategy, which would bring religious leaders and LGBT advocates together to try to secure satisfactory legal protections for both. Parties from each side of the conversation are convening this weekend for a conference at Yale University.

Regulators Get Cozy with Cannabis

Lifezette reports:

Public health experts have been questioning the lax regulations on the marijuana industry ever since the legalization tide began sweeping across this country. Edibles, for example, pose a substantial risk to children because they often come in a form and packaging that is very appealing to kids — gummy bears, cotton candy, lollipops, even “Pot Tarts.”

Now, it appears there’s a very questionable coziness with private industry.

A number of regulators recently left their jobs to make big money as consultants for marijuana companies. It began with Bob Morgan in 2013, whom the Illinois governor appointed as director for medical marijuana oversight. Morgan stayed in his post for two years, then left to work for the Illinois Cannabis Bar Association. His successor, 32-year-old Joseph Wright, had an even shorter term. Wright left the director post — where he made just over $50,000 a year — to become a private sector consultant for the marijuana industry. Consultants are known to charge clients more than $100,000 for various services.

Ecumenical Clergy Members ‘Bless’ New Planned Parenthood Facility in Nation’s Capital

According to Christian News:

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. – Psalm 139:14

Over 20 clergy members representing Judaism, Hinduism and Islam, as well as those professing Christianity, gathered on Tuesday to seek a “blessing” over a new Planned Parenthood facility that opened last fall in the nation’s capital.

“In almost every message to our staff, I talk about our doing sacred work,” Laura Meyers, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, told DCist. “This confirms the sacredness of the work we do.”

“Now I can tell patients that this is a blessed space,” also remarked Serina Floyd, the medical director at the facility, located next to Two Rivers Charter School.

Many people do not understand that there are many kinds of Christians,” Christine Wiley asserted to the Huffington Post. “Conservative Christians dominate the television and radio media and influence people to think that this brand of Christianity ‘is’ Christianity. Although they have great influence, this stance is far from representing the true tenets of the person of Jesus Christ.”

Congress’s Planned Parenthood Investigations Find Horrifying, Criminal Practices

Phelim McAleer of Breitbart examines two recent congressional investigations into the Planned Parenthood selling fetal body parts scandal. He writes:

Photo credit:Kelsey Lucas Visualsey,The Daily Signal

Both were prompted by the Centre For Medical Progress (CMP) undercover investigation, which caught Planned Parenthood officials discussing how to illegally profit from selling baby parts. The first report in December was by the Senate Judiciary Committee and now House of Representatives Select Investigative Panel has published its report. Neither investigation relied on the CMP undercover videos to come to their conclusions. They carried out their own investigations — interviewing officials and employees under oath and using the power of subpoena to get their records.

What they found is horrifying and criminal. It’s disturbing that the results have been virtually ignored in the mainstream media. So to fill this gap, here are the top eight horrifying facts the mainstream media doesn’t want you know about aborted babies bodies being sold for profit.

Mammon

4 Do not weary yourself to gain wealth, Cease from your consideration of it. 5 When you set your eyes on it, it is gone. For wealth certainly makes itself wings Like an eagle that flies toward the heavens. Proverbs 23:4-5 (NASB)

Happiness is a temporal condition of ‘rightness’ based upon circumstances.  On the other hand, Christians are taught all through God’s Word to pursue the Joy of the Lord, which is not based in the temporal, therefore, it is in no way based upon our circumstances. Instead, “Joy is both an outcome of our relationship with the Lord and our source of strength for our obedience of Him.” This is a quote from my post What is Joy? from January 2006. However, in my many years as a Christian, I have known countless professing believers who sought their fulfillment completely in the temporal and, because of that, were easy prey of those false teachers of the ‘Health, Wealth, and Prosperity “Gospel”.’ As we have seen as we have dug deep into our Lord’s Sermon on the Mount, there are many forms of religion that men create that they insist are ‘Christian,’ but they are another religion and their ‘Jesus’ is not Jesus Christ because they are man-made not God ordained.
