The Myth That Biden Had Nothing to Do With the Prosecutions of Trump

“It was not enough for the shameless Bragg to campaign flagrantly on promises to go after Trump. In addition, Bragg brashly drafted a top Democratic operative and political appointee from inside Joe Biden’s DOJ to head his prosecution.”

(Victor Davis Hanson) The five criminal and civil prosecutions of former President Donald Trump all prompt heated denials from Democrats that President Joe Biden and Democrat operatives had a role in any of them.

But Biden has long let it be known that he was frustrated with his own Department of Justice’s federal prosecutors for their tardiness in indicting Trump. Continue reading

Review: The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence

Heresy alert below.

(Dean Good – Grace Church) Over the years I have heard references to and quotes from this little work.  Recently I have been asked by several people about this book.  So I finally read it.  As I read it, I was somewhat amazed that evangelical Christians would recommend it (as so many do these days).  I will, therefore, take the time to critique this ‘Christian classic’ in some detail, using it as an exercise in discernment.

I will begin by observing that two things struck me immediately, before I ever opened the book.  First, the author goes by the title ‘Brother’ . . . obviously he is a Roman Catholic monk…. Continue reading

Do Not Rejoice in This

17 Now the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” 18 And He said to them, “I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning. 19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.” Luke 10:17-20 (LSB)

There was a period back in the late 1990’s in which I found myself in a spiritual desert. In late 1991 I was elected as chairman of the Deacons at our church in the Oklahoma City area. However, just a few weeks later we lost our pastor and associate pastor…. Continue reading

There’s Nothing Loving About Dolly Parton’s False Gospel

(Ericka Andersen – The Federalist) Fifty years after her original rise to stardom, Dolly Parton has released her highest-charting album and is more beloved than ever before. Initially known for her songwriting skills and beauty, Parton has entered her golden years as a “secular American saint.”

In a world where division is the default, she collects fans of every political stripe, refusing to denigrate anyone, and regularly proclaims, “I love everybody,” when asked how she does it.

This response is usually seen as a nod toward the LGBT alliance during interviews with media folks forever fixated on this particular group. Continue reading

World’s largest children’s books publisher releases radical ‘LGBTQIA+’ guide targeting K-12 children

“There are no ‘queer’ identities,” said prolific truth-teller James Lindsey, referencing the actual meaning of the term.  “A person cannot *be* queer…It’s only possible to *act* queer, which is an oppositionally defiant political stance taken on as a personal identity…It’s choosing to be functionally personality disordered and thinking it’s your true self.”

(LifeSiteNews) Scholastic, the world’s largest publisher and distributor of children’s books, has published its 2024 “pride” guide for teachers of grades K-12, overflowing with ideological promotion of “LGBTQIA+” stories, advice, and “affirmation” targeting children and adolescents.     Continue reading

Priscilla Shirer, Max Lucado, and T. D. Jakes: Betraying the Gospel?

“Whatever words Shirer and Lucado express in this Easter message that sound biblical are rendered hollow by the association with modalist T. D. Jakes. It is against Scripture to treat a false teacher like Jakes as though he is a brother in Christ, and to appear to be in theological agreement with him. Teachers are held to a higher standard; therefore, it is only biblical to warn about Shirer and Lucado because they are not trustworthy teachers. They either do not have discernment, or they fail to exercise it, or they have no issues with modalism.”

(Marcia Montenegro – Christian Answers for the New Age) Popular speaker and Bible teacher Priscilla Shirer and writer and Pastor Max Lucado joined with modalist T. D. Jakes of The Potter’s House two years ago in bringing an Easter message. This is not the first time that either Shirer or Lucado have associated with Jakes in ministry. Lucado has done several positive interviews of Jakes and Shirer’s associations with Jakes are too numerous to list. Continue reading

The Great Crusade Was Greater Than You Know

(Stephen Green – PJ Media) Imagine picking up every man in a medium-sized city, everything they’ll need to eat and drink and rest for a few days, any vehicles they might need, gasoline, of course, plus lots of guns and ammo — did I mention this was a hunting trip? — and then moving all those men and all that stuff in a few short hours a distance of anywhere from 30 to 125 miles or so.

Now imagine that you have to move all those people and all that stuff partly by air, but mostly across heavy seas in foul weather.

Under enemy fire. Continue reading

The Resurrection Body

35 But someone will say, “How are the dead raised? And with what kind of body do they come?” 1 Corinthians 15:35 (LSB)

I am posting this in light of two things. Just a few days ago we celebrated Memorial Day and my family and I went to Purcell, Oklahoma Hillside Cemetery to decorate the graves of my grandparents on both sides of my family and the graves of my mother and father. My grandfather Ratliff was born in 1877 and was a settler in Oklahoma as it was opened up during the land runs in the 1880’s. Of course it was his father, Robert Ratliff, who was in charge of that, but I was born in 1951 long after all of those events and so the man I knew as my grandfather was a very old man highly revered by everyone and I was a bit intimidated by…. Beth Moore Denounces Southern Baptists as ‘Masters of Diversion’ For Dealing With Women Preachers

“This accusation is not only unfounded but also hypocritical. Moore herself uses this tactic to divert attention from her many, many false teachings as well as her alignment with liberals, rank heretics, and God-hating social activists who promote everything from abortion to homosexuality.”

(The Dissenter) In 2021, the popular Evangelical lady-preacher, Beth Moore, left the SBC after it became apparent to her that she would not be able to impose her feminist ideology on the denomination. Moore’s departure from the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) has been portrayed by her and her supporters as a principled stand against systemic abuse and sexism…. Continue reading

When people stay tightly within a closed set of ideas that require the blockade of competing ideas, they are in a type of cult.

“Now let’s think about how thought-stopping devices are being used in the Church. Christians have a Holy Book that should make this whole thing a lot easier. It’s called The Bible. When anyone teaches anything in the church it must be rigorously tested against God’s Word. While this sounds pretty straightforward, it gets smothered over by thought-stopping devices that obscure the truth of God’s Word.”

(Steven Kozar – Messed Up Church) This cluster of ideas only makes sense to the person who willingly surrenders to them. Here’s the difficult part for cult members to hear: if they refuse to do the hard work necessary to test their ideas, they are to blame for their membership in the cult. Yes, cult leaders are terrible…. Continue reading

The Wall Street Journal: Biden ‘Slipping’

When President Biden met with congressional leaders in the West Wing in January to negotiate a Ukraine funding deal, he spoke so softly at times that some participants struggled to hear him, according to five people familiar with the meeting. He read from notes to make obvious points, paused for extended periods and sometimes closed his eyes for so long that some in the room wondered whether he had tuned out.” — The Wall Street Journal

(Sandy Fitzgerald – Newsmax) President Joe Biden’s mental acuity and advancing age concerns are becoming more of a problem behind closed doors, where lawmakers who have met with him for negotiations, including on Ukraine funding and policy changes, say the politician who once held a reputation for his mastery in negotiating legislative deals is slipping as the months and years go by. Contemporary Worship is a Breeding Ground for Idolatry and False Worship, Leading to Judgment

(The Dissenter) The Christian Contemporary Music (CCM) industry is a modern-day embodiment of false worship and idolatry—mooching off the name of Christ to launch careers, only to end up apostatizing, blaspheming Him, and supporting the very things God abhors, like homosexuality, abortion, and more. This industry is a prime example of how worship can become a shallow veneer—think of a gold-plated apple that’s rotten to the core—masking a reality of self-indulgence and rebellion against God’s holiness. The Coming Day of the Lord

1 Behold, a day is coming for Yahweh when the spoil taken from you will be divided among you. 2 Indeed, I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city will be captured, the houses plundered, the women ravished, and half of the city will go forth in exile, but those left of the people will not be cut off from the city. 3 Then Yahweh will go forth and fight against those nations, as the day when He fights on a day of battle. Zechariah 14:1-5 (LSB) Read verses 4-5 on the site.

When I preached in a small Baptist Church in northern Missouri several years ago the title of my sermon was, “Are you ready to meet God?” The main theme of that sermon was who Jesus Christ really is and what He has done to redeem His people from the wrath to come. I can still see the expression on those faces as I preached…. Continue reading

U.S. Gov. Spending Millions in Tax Dollars to Promote Homosexuality in Third World Countries

“Translation: let’s pat ourselves on the back for pushing our perversion onto cultures that might just have a different perspective. Countries like Uganda, for example, a nation that has experienced AIDS epidemics and understands the practical danger of allowing such behavior.”

(The Dissenter) It’s bad enough that our government pushes radical leftism at the expense of our sanity in our own nation, but did you know these leftists are spending your money to promote homosexuality around the world?

Okay, so let’s talk about USAID, shall we? You know, the United States Agency for International Development—the folks who are supposed to be helping “improve lives” in third world countries…. Continue reading

Tulsi on Dr. Fauci: They Rejected Science, Rejected the Truth

“We also know that Fauci‘s team was exposed during the hearing yesterday, and they worked behind the scenes to cover up the origins of the COVID outbreak. They knew about it. He was CCed on those emails and then lied to Congress about it.”

(Mary Dowling) Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard gave a clear and poignant analysis of yesterday’s hearing with Dr. Anthony Fauci. She said that Dr. Fauci is the latest example of the ‘Democratic’ elite in Washington and their crusade for control and more power, which comes at the cost of our freedom.

Dr. Fauci is among the worst offenders. Continue reading

Cringe: Eric Metaxas’s Lazy Letter To The American Church

“The idea of a letter to the American church should generate images of a modern Pauline epistle, but the documentary fails to provide anything profound or uniquely insightful…”

(Anthony Fava – Evangelical Dark Web) Originally, Godwin’s Law invoked that on a long enough timeline, every debate would devolve into Nazi accusations and ad-Hitler hominin attacks. Nowadays, Godwin’s Law is the starting point for any discourse, reflecting a remarkable degradation in human intelligence. Several months back, upon viewing the trailer, we concluded that Eric Metaxas’s Letter to the American Church was NGMI, or not going to make it—that is to say, it is a failed strategy to make everything a Nazi comparison and that the documentary, along with its participants like James Lindsay, would render it ineffective for the church. Watch out! ‘The Chosen’, New ‘Book of Mormon’ tv series, is in the works

“According to their heretical and plagiarized unholy scriptures that were written by the scoundrel Joseph Smith during the reign of King Zedekiah (approximately 600 BC), Lehi led his family out of Jerusalem after the people rebelled against his message and tried to kill him.”

(Protestia) Latter-Day Saint filmmakers are planning a new TV series inspired by The Chosen, except instead of featuring Jesus in the Gospels, it will feature characters and stories from the Book of Mormon [penned by false prophet Joseph Smith who taught a different gospel].

According to the promo material, the TV series The Promised, created by Ashley Troncoso, “aims to unite faith-based and secular audiences through the highest-quality scripture series ever made” by having similar production values as Dallas Jenkins’s mega-hit. Continue reading

Truth and Consequences

(Bill O’Reilly)  “I want the truth to be said.” – Spandau Ballet

Many events have occurred after 12 New Yorkers found Donald Trump guilty of “falsifying business records” 34 times. And few of them are good for the country.

Perhaps the worst thing is that the concept of truth once again got bruised and battered in a way injurious to every American.  So, I am here to say the truth about this case fully knowing that most human beings believe what they want to believe – sometimes with little regard for factual reality.  Continue reading

White House moves to change organ transplant process to consider race

(Sentinel Staff) Officials at the United States Department of Health and Human Services said last month they will seek to amend the organ transplant model to prioritize people of certain racial identities.

The proposed organ model “aims to increase access to kidney transplants for all people living with end-stage renal disease” as well as “reduce disparities among individuals undergoing the process to receive a kidney transplant.” Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra specifically mentioned assisting black patients in a press release about the program. The U.S. Department of Education Promoting Pride Month is Just the Beginning of the Birth Pangs of God’s Wrath

“God will do what He always does. He will bring crushing judgment and wrath to purge the wickedness from the land. In Revelation 18, we see the fall of Babylon, a symbol of the world’s corrupt systems, where God’s people are called to “come out of her, my people, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues…”

(The Dissenter) I’m certainly no prophet, but here’s what’s undeniable—from Genesis to Revelation, the Bible makes it clear that when people reject God and embrace idolatry, His judgment and wrath will inevitably follow. Continue reading

‘I just have to start with my testimony of Jesus Christ.’ Mormon Glenn Beck Casts Himself as Faithful Believer at ‘Christian’ Men’s Conference

“If Fearless were a generic men’s conference that Beck was speaking at, that would be one thing. But this event was  specifically and intentionally marketed as a conference for Christians and has every hallmark of being one.”

(Protestia) Noted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Glenn Beck, took to the stage at the Fearless Roll Call 2.0 conference yesterday morning, regaling hundreds of men with tales of George Washington’s escapades while sharing an extended personal testimony that urged his audience to “surrender to Jesus Christ.” Continue reading

The Chosen creator, Dallas Jenkins, ends a business partnership with a Mormon-owned company over broken agreements

(Marsha West – Christian Research Network) If I were a gloater, I’d be gloating over the news that creator/writer/director of The Chosen, Dallas Jenkins, has parted company with Mormon owned Angel Studios. The Angel Studios (AS) team was involved for 8 years in producing the series.  AS never hid the fact that they are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints a.k.a Mormons. Since Dallas Jenkins is a professing Christian, he entered into a business venture fully aware that he was going against God. In 2 Cor 6:14-15 Paul makes it clear that believers are not to partnership with Belial: Continue reading

God is Love

16 And we have come to know and have believed the love which God has in us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 1 John 4:16 (LSB)

As the elect draw closer and closer to Christ in obedience and fellowship the more and more they will be seen to be identified with Him and will, therefore, be hated by the world, just as He was and just as He said would happen (John 15:18-25). If the visible church has invited the world in and has become so conformed to it that there is no difference, what will happen within these “churches” when the elect within become conformed to Christ as I shared above?… Continue reading
