When Your Evangelism Has No Jesus

“I tell people what they need to hear.  What God has told me to tell them.  They need to repent from their sin and start doing what’s right.  They have to straighten out.”

(Wes Bredenhof – Abiding Grace) I was at a conference in Sydney when I met him.  He was hard to miss.  He was wearing a bright pink jacket and a red hat that said, “Make Australia Godly Again.”  I’m not sure why he singled me out.  Perhaps it was because I only knew a few people at this conference and I was standing there solo drinking my coffee during a break.

We got to talking and, since the conference was about religious freedom, I asked why he had an interest in this topic.  That’s when his face lit up.  He whipped out his smartphone and he showed me a picture of him standing in downtown Sydney with a giant sign…. Continue reading

Christians Must Not Share the Stage with False Teachers

(Dave Jenkins – Servants of Grace) Christians are not to share the stage, or minister, with false teachers who reject the Bible, and who undermine biblical and historic Christian doctrine. For some to suggest that they can go on the stage with false teachers, and speak with them to “reach them with the Word of God,” raises serious questions. What chapter and verse are you using to support that position?

Either Scripture is truly sufficient, or it isn’t. You cannot say, “I am going to preach the gospel there,” because we’ve seen that logic used before, and those who tried it were influenced more by false doctrine than anything else…. Continue reading

Anglican Church Poised To Lose 40 Million Members After First Woman Appointed Archbishop of Canterbury

(Protestia) The Anglican Church is poised to lose tens of millions of members across Africa and Asia following the appointment of Sarah Mullally, 63, as the first woman Archbishop of Canterbury and leader of the Anglican Church. Her appointment comes months after her predecessor, Justin Welby, resigned over his failure to deal with and report sexual abuse in the church.

Far from a conservative, Mullally is a self-described feminist and has passionately fought for women’s ordination across the church. She is pro-choice and has been working to move the church in favor of same-sex acceptance and inclusivity. Continue reading

The Scandal of Sin

9 Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 and he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His rage, and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”Revelation 14:9-11 (LSB)

I have been rereading and studying a book by the late John MacArthur titled The Vanishing Conscience. Along with this, I have been listening to a series of teachings by the late R.C. Sproul on the human conscience, all men’s guilt before God because of their sin, and the utter uselessness of man-made religiosity or human psychology teachings about self-esteem in maintaining a healthy conscience that leads the believer into growing in humility and Christlikeness…. Behind Christianity Today’s Leftist Drift

“According to Seth Gruber, pro-life activist and founder of the White Rose Resistance, the Left has sought to redefine what “pro-life” consists of well beyond the original and narrow focus of aiming to end the murder of preborn babies. “Leftists know that the best way to get naive Christians to jump on their bandwagon is to label their agenda as either a gospel issue or a pro-life issue,” Gruber observes. “But he who fights everywhere fights nowhere.” In other words, Hewlett is engaged in a divide-and-conquer strategy.”

(Thomas Gallatin – The Patriot Post) The evangelical magazine Christianity Today has fallen far from its founder’s original vision. First published in 1956, it was established by the renowned evangelist Billy Graham with the mission “to express historical Christianity to the present generation.”… Continue reading

Mounting Pressure on Netflix: Accusations of Enabling Child Sexual Exploitation Through Radical Content

The controversy erupted when Daugherty shared a clip from Burchett’s appearance, where the Tennessee representative labeled Netflix’s agenda as “evil and demonic.”

(Whatfinger) In a bombshell interview on “The Benny Show,” (above) Republican Congressman Tim Burchett vowed to haul Netflix executives before Congress to explain their relentless push of sexualized transgender ideology onto young children. This declaration, captured in a viral X post by journalist Eric Daugherty, has ignited a firestorm of outrage among conservatives, parents, and free-speech advocates who argue that Netflix’s content is nothing short of grooming and exploitation disguised as entertainment…. Is it Orthopraxy or is it Legalism?

21 “Not all the ones saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of heaven, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in heaven.  22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord did we not prophesy in your name and cast out demons in your name, and perform many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you! Depart from me you who work lawlessness.”  24 “Therefore, everyone who hears my words and does them will be compared to a wise man who built his house upon the rock. (Matthew 7:21-27 a personal translation from the NA27 Greek text) Read verses 25-27 on the site.

What is Christian Orthodoxy? There really isn’t enough space here to succinctly define that for you. However this section from the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms does quite a good job. Continue reading

Spiritual Warfare and Kirk’s Assassination

Just days before the presidential election, witches tried to curse Donald Trump. According to the Toronto Star, a group of 100 witches cursed him in unison over a Zoom call. Another group of Alabama-based witches told their followers that spells don’t work because Trump has a shield over him thanks to the prayers of Christians. One witch wrote, “He has a shield, a flimsy one of course, but a shield nonetheless (I am trying to figure out a way to create spells that can bypass that, but it’s difficult).”

(Emmy Griffin -The Patriot Post) The online magazine Jezebel is well named; it evokes the wicked biblical queen by the same name who married King Ahab. Queen Jezebel used her influence over her husband to abolish the worship of the one true God and usher in the worship of the pagan god Baal. She was envious, vain, and actively responsible for the murders of God’s prophets. In other words, Jezebel is rightly the archetype of a wicked woman. Continue reading

Preparing for Revival: Identifying a Work of the Spirit of God

“Many Christians fall too heavily on one side of the other. Some celebrate everything that took place at the memorial as a work of God’s Spirit, insisting that any discernment is evidence of cynicism or a critical spirit. Others fail to see any work of God’s Spirit because of the elements that did not meet Edwards’ biblical criteria for such a work. During the Great Awakening, people fell on both sides of these issues as well. As Edwards helpfully explained, wherever there is wheat there are also tares, and wherever the Spirit of truth operates, the spirit of error opposes. Faithful Christians seek to see both aspects clearly, celebrating the one and exposing the other.”

(Robb Brunansky – The Cripplegate) We are living in extraordinary times, perhaps a moment of history that is ripe for another Great Awakening. The shocking murder of Charlie Kirk on September 10 seems to have sparked a movement that transcends the typical response to such horrifying events…. Continue reading

Pope ‘Blesses’ Block of Ice During Pagan Earth-Worship Ceremony

“The world applauds, the people are deceived, and judgment is certain. For the Lord will not share His glory with another, nor will He suffer His name to be invoked over pagan rites. Rome has chosen her gospel. And it is not Christ.”

(The Dissenter) If you needed more proof that Rome is just another pagan temple dressed in white robes, look no further than this spectacle. The so-called “vicar of Christ” stood before a block of ice, mumbling prayers to “creation,” while a chorus of voices chanted like acolytes in some eco-ritual. It wasn’t worship of God—it was worship of the earth, the very exchange Paul warned about in Romans 1. Continue reading

Wretched man that I am!

14 For we know that the Law is spiritual, but I am fleshly, having been sold into bondage under sin. 15 For what I am working out, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate. 16 But if I do the very thing I do not want, I agree with the Law, that it is good. 17 So now, no longer am I the one working it out, but sin which dwells in me. Romans 7:14-25 (LSB) Read verses 18-25 on the site.

There is a great deal of false teaching going on in the visible Church in our time. One of those teachings has to do with the nature of salvation. Even though I grew up going to Church I was not a Christian until January 1986 and there are even times as I look at how I have matured and become dedicated more and more to my devotion to walk before my Lord according to His will at all times, I wonder if my true salvation took place back in 2004 instead…. Restoring ‘Warrior Ethos’

“Good morning and welcome to the War Department because the era of the Department of Defense is over,” Hegseth told the gathered brass. “From this moment forward, the only mission of the newly restored Department of War is this: warfighting — preparing for war and preparing to win.”

(Nate Jackson – The Patriot Post) “Could have been an email,” complained an anonymous defense official to Politico about the major military brass meeting called by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and the commander-in-chief, Donald Trump.

Respectfully, Tuesday’s gathering of roughly 800 high-level military officers in Quantico, Virginia, was worth attending in person. Continue reading

‘Should I do events if there is a false teacher present?’ Navigating cultural moments with discernment

“God will bring those He wants to hear the truth, to us. Yes, we go into the world. Yes, we plead, ‘send me!’ But we don’t associate with false teachers to do it. We don’t abandon our position because of a feeling and go chasing waves. Waves subside. The Gospel doesn’t. The naive newbie, the seeking heart, the unsure penitent needs to know where there is a clear line between truth and false.”

(Elizabeth Prata – The End Time) In this post, I discuss the importance of maintaining theological integrity and not compromising the Gospel despite cultural moments that seem to indicate a softening or readiness for the Gospel. I critique Alisa Childers’ self-announced shift towards softening her stance on not associating with false teachers and indicating she may now do so in the future, if asked. I state that this undermines credibility and dilutes the message of Christ. We need clear separation from falsehood in ministry. Continue reading

TGC Council Member Suggests Charlie Kirk Was Murdered Because He Wasn’t Sensitive Enough

“So let’s get this straight. A man is gunned down in cold blood—by a homosexual in a romantic relationship with a trans-queer—for speaking out about how sexual perversion and transgenderism are negatively impacting our society, and the lesson Davis draws isn’t about political violence or spiritual warfare—it’s that Charlie wasn’t sensitive enough.”

(The Dissenter) This is an astonishing clip, honestly. Jim Davis—a TGC Council Member—stood in his pulpit, polished, legs crossed, effete, and smugly measured, after Charlie Kirk’s assassination and thinks the lesson in all of this is “gospel sensitivity” could have prevented it. Continue reading

Seth Gruber Calls Out Sean McDowell

Biola could have been saved and fought for by Sean, but when the testing point came, he flinched and has been flinching ever since. It reminds me of a line from Tommy Lasells in The Crown series: “It’s in the small things that the rot starts. Do the wrong thing once, it’s easy to do it again.”

(Evangelical Dark Web) Seth Gruber is a pro-life activist behind the 1916 Project film. On Sunday, he called out YouTube apologist Sean McDowell after apparent back channel attempts. Now, Gruber goes scorched earth labeling McDowell a coward unwilling to contend for the faith in his own backyard particularly as it relates to his boss, Ed Stetzer.

The rest of this article is adapted from Seth Gruber’s thread, with receipts linked. Continue reading

JK Rowling Gets Brutally Honest About Emma Watson

“…Emma asked someone to pass on a handwritten note from her to me, which contained the single sentence ‘I’m so sorry for what you’re going through’ (she has my phone number). This was back when the death, rape and torture threats against me were at their peak, at a time when my personal security measures had had to be tightened considerably and I was constantly worried for my family’s safety. Emma had just publicly poured more petrol on the flames, yet thought a one line expression of concern from her would reassure me of her fundamental sympathy and kindness.”

(Amy Curtis – Townhall) Last week, actress Emma Watson appeared to be extending an olive branch of sorts to author JK Rowling. Rowling, who created the character of Hermione and made Watson a star, was not keen on the idea several days ago. Continue reading

Who is judged at the Great White Throne?

9 “I kept looking Until thrones were set up, And the Ancient of Days was seated; His clothing was like white snow And the hair of His head like pure wool. His throne was ablaze with fire, Its wheels were a burning fire. 10 A river of fire was flowing And coming out from before Him; Thousands upon thousands were attending Him, And myriads upon myriads were standing before Him; The court sat, And the books were opened. Daniel 7:9-10 (LSB)

Before we look at Revelation 20:11-15, take a moment to reflect on the carnage being wrought upon the visible church in our time by the very men who, by their own positions, should be shepherding the sheep. Instead, they are actually doing the very things to bring about the famine of hearing the Word of God and, hence, spiritual darkness seems to be all around us right in the midst of the “Church.”… Continue reading

Charlie Kirk, Christian Nationalist

“This idea of liberty is God’s idea, not man’s idea. And whether or not the United States of America will continue to exist in any recognizable form, is completely and solely dependent on whether or not those who call themselves Christians, churches in America will be willing to say, “Lord, here I am. Use me for your purpose.” And will elevate the fight for truth, freedom, liberty, America. Much more than ease and comfort.”

(Ben Crenshaw – American Reformer) In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, Kirk’s life, faith, and political vision for America have taken central stage in online and real-life discussion. Kirk’s memorial service this past Sunday was one of the most remarkable events in American history. Dignified public intellectuals and the highest officials in American government praised Kirk for his outspoken Christian faith, for his courage and conviction, and they preached the gospel of Jesus Christ multiple times throughout the five-hour service. Matt Walsh: We Must Not Let Muslims Take Over the USA

“Bizarre visuals from Dearborn, Michigan!…The displays of power are quite intimidating…There’s a distinct feeling of a military training camp vibe to this gathering…What are they preparing for!?”

(Mary Dowling) Matt Walsh courageously states his opinion that so many are afraid to express. Americans don’t want to be called racists, but Mr. Walsh contends it doesn’t mean we have to cede our country to them.

“We are allowed to take control of our own country,” Walsh says. “We’re allowed to say, no, you’re not going to Islamize our cities. No, you’re not going to do that. This is America” Continue reading

What will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?

15 “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. Matthew 7:15 (LSB)

The Church in our time appears huge, but this is only in appearance. It is thousands of miles wide, but only a fraction of an inch deep. Much of what claims to be Christian is not and proves it by what is actually its focus and what (or who) it actually worships. The focus has its foundation in pragmatism and its worship is nothing more than self-aggrandizement. They give lip service to their own version of “Jesus” who bears little if any resemblance to the Jesus we read of in God’s Word. This counterfeit Christianity is the majority while the true Church, which is made up of those saved by grace through faith because of God’s election and effectual calling is the minority…. New Survey Finds Half of Evangelicals Believe God Accepts All Religions, Church Attendance Not Important

(Protestia) A new ‘State of Theology’ survey by Liogoner Ministries, in conjunction with Lifeway research, has revealed the abject state of beliefs among American evangelicals, including nearly half of respondents who said “God accepts the worship of all religions, including Christianity, Judaism, and Islam.”

Rather than a generic poll of self-describing ‘Christians,’ Ligonier polled only evangelicals, which they define as people who “strongly agreed” with the following four statements: Continue reading

FBI Bombshell: 274 agents sent to Capitol for J6, many later complained they were political ‘pawns’

“Even worse, officers were assaulted in the streets in broad daylight with cameras rolling, and yet our response then was nothing like the Capitol Riots response on and after January 6, 2021. I do not recall a single instance where the FBI…made any attempt to put the resources behind the summer riots of 2020, as they did during the Capitol Riots,” the agent explained.”

(John Solomon – Just the News) FBI secretly deployed more than 250 plainclothes agents to the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot, an operation so disorganized it unleashed searing frustrations among many of the FBI’s rank-and-file that the bureau had lost its core competencies to “wokeness” and allowed its employees to become “pawns in a political war,” according to an after-action report kept from the public for more than four years. Former FBI Director James Comey Indicted

(Matt Margolis – PJ Media) Former FBI Director James Comey has been indicted on charges of making false statements and obstruction of justice, marking a dramatic development in one of the most politically explosive feuds in modern American history. The move comes just days after President Donald Trump publicly demanded his Justice Department act “now” to pursue Comey and other political rivals, escalating what critics already describe as a clear weaponization of federal law enforcement.
