New Star Wars ‘Rise of Skywalker’ Movie Includes Brief Shot of Two Women Kissing

Finn actor John Boyega also told the outlet that it “wouldn’t be too weird” if the men were more than just friends as they had always had a “loving” relationship, but the characters are “just platonic at the moment.”

(Heather Clark – Christian News)  The final installment of the Skywalker saga, “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” which opens in theaters tomorrow, includes a scene where two women kiss in the midst of a celebration — a subtle means of inserting the sin of homosexuality into the ninth episode of the popular series. Southern Baptists, Calvary Chapel Supporting Ministry That Tells Women How to Have an Abortion

“In a page on the ministry’s website titled Choosing an Abortion Provider: 12 Considerations, Stanton instructs women on how to seek an abortion provider once they’ve made the decision to do so. Giving them a list of “considerations,” some of the advice they give includes…”

(Jeff Maples – Reformation Charlotte)   As Christians, we are to look at abortion as murder — the unjust taking of innocent life — and a non-option not only for believers but society as a whole. It is not something that we look at as a last resort after we’ve sought exhaustively all other options…. Continue reading

NewSpring Church Volunteer Childcare Worker Sentenced to 75 Years After Being Found Guilty of Child Sexual Abuse

“Several lawsuits have been filed against NewSpring Church, alleging that it failed to properly vet Hazlett and that leadership failed to train its workers to monitor video cameras, which allowed the abuse to continue.”

(Heather Clark – Christian News)  A former volunteer childcare worker at NewSpring Church in South Carolina, a megachurch that has multiple campuses, including in Anderson, Charleston, Columbia and Greenville, has been sentenced to 75 years in prison after being found guilty of abusing preschool age boys while watching them during the service. Mormon Church Reportedly Amassed $100 Billion Fund For ‘Second Coming Of Christ’

Neilsen’s complaint claims Ensign president Roger Clarke has said the fund would be used should the second coming of Christ occur, while the Post reported that high-ranking cleric Bishop Gérald Caussc gave a March 2018 speech in which he connected the “prophecies of last days” to setting aside some “revenues each year to prepare for any possible future needs.”

(Lisette Voytko – Forbes) An investigation published by the Washington Post Monday night focuses on a complaint filed by a whistle-blower who alleges the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints holds $100 billion in a charitable fund from member donations that hasn’t been spent in over 20 years—but is instead reportedly intended for the “second coming of Christ.”  Continue reading

McConnell Rips Apart Democrats’ ‘Partisan Crusade’ on the Floor of the Senate

By voting to impeach Trump on Wednesday, “Speaker Pelosi’s House just gave in to a temptation that every other House in our history has managed to resist,” moving to “impeach a president whom they do not even allege to have committed a crime” because they “disagree with a presidential act and question the motive behind it.”

(Tyler O’Neil – PJ Media)  On Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell condemned Democrats’ “partisan crusade” of impeachment, warning that Nancy Pelosi’s House of Representatives crossed a political “Rubicon” and “opened the Pandora’s box of subjective political impeachments,” a move that no previous House has done in American history…. Why did Francis Chan and Mike Bickle promote the contemplative Henri Nouwen?

“Today I personally believe that while Jesus came to open the door to God’s house, all human beings can walk through that door, whether they know about Jesus or not. Today I see it as my call to help every person claim his or her own way to God.” – Henri Nouwen (heretic)

(John Lanagan – The Word Like Fire) In The Way of the Heart, Henri Nouwen explains contemplative prayer:

The quiet repetition of a single word can help us descend with the mind into the heart. …a word or sentence repeated frequently can help us to concentrate, to move to the center, to create an inner stillness and thus listen to the voice of God. (pg.81) Continue reading

Believers Are Heirs With Christ

16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him. Romans 8:16-17 (NASB)

Even through as Christians we are justified and are under no condemnation (Romans 8:1) it is also clearly taught in God’s Word that Christians are to live lives of repentance from the works of the flesh…. Continue reading

Toddler Death at Bethel Reveals the True Damage from NAR Theology

“Since I know few will say it, I must. You cannot expect miracles when your base is actively working against God. The bible says that we are either gathering people to Christ or scattering them away. Which do you think Kris Vallotton does? What about ecumenicalist Darlene Zschech? Rich Wilkerson? Really?”

(Anthony Wade – 828 Ministries) When practicing discernment regarding false theologies we often here the lament, “what’s the big deal?” Joel Osteen has encouraged millions of people, leave him alone. Joyce Meyer has helped countless women, don’t pick on her! In defending Bill Johnson and Bethel Church, Dr. Michael Brown once told me, “You do not know them, they love Jesus.”…. Continue reading

2 Million Sign Petitions Asking Netflix to Pull Blasphemous ‘Dark Comedy’ Depicting Jesus as Homosexual

“Porchat, a co-founder of Porta Dos Fundos, has refused to apologize, however. He pushed back in an interview with Variety, in which he called the outrage “homophobic” and explained that the comedy does not explicitly state that Jesus is in a relationship with Orlando — who is actually Satan.”

(Heather Clark – Christian News) More than two million people worldwide have signed petitions asking the entertainment provider Netflix to pull a blasphemous film called “The First Temptation of Christ,” which depicts Jesus as a homosexual, his disciples as drunks and his mother as having sexual relations with God, the Father. Lauren Daigle Preaches False Gospel to Max Security Prisoners, Says God Doesn’t ‘Point the Finger at Them’

“God “sitting with you” in the “middle of you being the worst of who you are” is not the gospel — it’s a false gospel.”

(Jeff Maples – Reformation Charlotte)  Recently, Lauren Daigle visited a maximum-security prison in Louisiana and told a stadium filled with 6300 prisoners that God “sits with them” and “doesn’t point the finger” at them or “give them shame.”

Daigle — who says she doesn’t know if homosexuality is sinful or not — is known for touring the world and giving a watered-down message that is devoid of the biblical gospel…. Continue reading

12-Year-Old Boy Being Groomed To ‘Give Birth’ Via Corpse Womb Transplant

Every single cell in the human body is coded male or female. This is why the transgender movement is simple rebellion against the authority of God in creation that codes the 37 trillion cells in your body as male or female. It is a social, sinful, emotional rebellious construct. Transgender people are simply actors in the theater of the absurd. Gender is unchangeable.”  —  Pastor Scott Brown

(Pulpit & Pen) In August, Pulpit & Pen reported that ‘transgender women’ (aka men) are demanding womb-transplants from corpses in order to shove a baby in their abdomen and carry it until it has to be cut out of them. Because of the law in Great Britain granting ‘transgender’ people the same medical treatment, they are entitled to this grotesque procedure as ‘fertility treatment’ because they’re legally recognized as women…. Create in Me a Clean Heart, O God

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalms 51:10 (NASB)

Perhaps the number one teaching missing in the Compromised Church is that of how horrible sin is in the eyes of God. The Gospel is good news only if it includes how our sin is rebellion against God which separates us from Him. This separation is eternal. No one is born righteous. There is no one who does enough good works to be declared righteous by God. There is not one thing men can do to save themselves from God’s judgment against all sin…. Continue reading

A Half-Learned Christ…Makes You Gullible

“We constantly need to be reminded of the fulness of Christ in order for us to turn our eyes away from any and all counterfeits and put them onto the Lord Jesus Christ. If the divine, cosmic, redemptive, and mediatorial glory of Christ was the solution to the problem of counterfeit gospels, religions, philosophies, and spiritual practices in the early days of the New Testament church, how much more necessary is it for us in a day when false ideologies stream into our living rooms by means of the television and internet!”

(Nicholas Batzig – Feeding On Christ)  In a day in which we are inundated with counterfeit gospels, counterfeit spirituality, counterfeit religions, and counterfeit devotional practices it is important for us to keep in mind that believers are ever in danger of falling into what older theologians called, “a half-learned Christ.”…. Chick-Fil-A Works To Get The Gay Lobby Off Its Back

“Dan Cathy of Chick-fil-A opposed same-sex marriage, stood up for traditional marriage and was attacked. Grassroots supporters turned out to support the company, and Chick-fil-A profited. Rather than follow up on that victory, Chick-fil-A chickened out and surrendered to the Same-Sex Marriage Agenda.”

(Allan Wall – News With Views)  What does a chicken sandwich have to do with the Homosexual Lobby?

Quite a lot, if you’re referring to Chick-fil-A. Continue reading

James MacDonald Sues Fellow Believer Again–This Time It’s Mancow

“In the new lawsuit, MacDonald is seeking more than $50,000 in damages from both Muller and WLS parent company, Cumulus Media, for several counts of defamation, invasion of privacy, inflicting emotional distress, and eavesdropping.”

(Julie Roys)  Barely a month after issuing a public “repentance,” and apologizing for a lawsuit he called “fearful and defensive,” disgraced, former Harvest Bible Chapel senior pastor, James MacDonald, has sued a believer again. This time, the target is Chicago radio personality Mancow Muller—a former church member and confidant whom the lawsuit accuses of defaming MacDonald. Continue reading

Alive in Christ

6 Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. Colossians 2:6-7 (NASB)

When God saved us He justified us by imputing Christ’s righteousness to our account. He washed us clean through the miracle of regeneration that changed us so that we now have the spiritual ability to walk through our lives and not sin. He also sanctified us, but that was only positional…. Continue reading

The FBI didn’t commit ‘errors and omissions.’ It abused its power

“There are sins of omission and sins of commission. The FBI didn’t just fail to do right here. The agents involved in this investigation did evil. They used their power as law enforcement agents in pursuit of a perceived political enemy.”

(Washington Examiner)  The FBI sought a warrant to wiretap a U.S. citizen and, in effect, a U.S. presidential campaign, based on a shoddy Democrat-funded pile of conspiracy theories known as the Steele dossier. The dossier’s allegations against then-candidate Donald Trump were based on “multiple layers of hearsay upon hearsay,” and the document also took seriously comments made in jest. Continue reading

Title IX Trouble For Fuller Seminary

“Sadly, Christian institutions will likely respond to the Fuller case by moving into defensive mode, crying “First Amendment!” and putting lawyers on speed-dial. If that is all that happens, then that reaction in itself will speak eloquently of the moral tenor of such places. For the first reaction should be one of serious and prolonged institutional heart-searching and, where necessary, of true repentance and change.”

(Carl Trueman – First Things)  Fuller Theological Seminary is facing a Title IX lawsuit from a former student, whom Fuller had expelled for entering into a civil same-sex marriage. Title IX prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex at any institution of higher education receiving federal funding…. Continue reading

A Bethel Redding School Masquerading as an Assemblies of God Bible Institute?

“It is the brainchild of leaders at Bethel Church, working in partnership with some AG pastors and officials in the AG Northern California and Nevada District who have close personal ties to Bethel Church. And these individuals have, from the beginning, intentionally modeled BSSD after Bethel’s BSSM. This is a deep-seated connection, and Bethel plays an ongoing and important role in all aspects of the school.”

(Holly Pivec – Spirit of Error)  You’ve probably heard of a single church being taken over by an individual or group from within. But have you ever heard of an entire network of churches within a denomination being taken over? As unprecedented as that may sound, that is exactly what appears to be happening now in the Assemblies of God (AG) denomination in Northern California and Nevada. Continue reading

Under Pressure, Hallmark Pulls LGBT-Themed Wedding Ads

UPDATE

Hallmark has reinstated the wedding ads.

Under pressure from a conservative advocacy group, The Hallmark Channel has pulled ads for a wedding-planning website that featured two brides kissing at the altar.

(Breitbart)  The family-friendly network, which is in the midst of its heavily watched holiday programming, removed the ads because the controversy was a distraction, a spokesperson said in an interview Saturday.

“The debate surrounding these commercials on all sides was distracting from the purpose of our network, which is to provide entertainment value,” said a statement provided by Molly Biwer, senior vice president for public affairs and communications at Hallmark. Continue reading

Christian Freedom and Antinomianism

28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law. 29 Or is God the God of Jews only? Is He not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, 30 since indeed God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith is one. 31 Do we then nullify the Law through faith? May it never be! On the contrary, we establish the Law. Romans 3:28-31 (NASB)

Antinomianism: The doctrine or belief that the Gospel frees Christians from required obedience to any law, whether scriptural, civil, or moral, and that salvation is attained solely through faith and the gift of divine grace. Continue reading

A Better Rest

7 For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you would hear His voice, 8 Do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, As in the day of Massah in the wilderness, 9 “When your fathers tested Me, They tried Me, though they had seen My work. 10 “For forty years I loathed that generation, And said they are a people who err in their heart, And they do not know My ways. 11 “Therefore I swore in My anger, Truly they shall not enter into My rest.” Psalms 95:7-11 (NASB)  Continue reading

Hair Care Brand Pantene Releases ‘Holiday’ Video Series About Family Acceptance of ‘Transgender’ Identity

The hair care brand Pantene, owned by Procter & Gamble, has released a series of “BeautifuLGBTQ” videos on social media that feature various individuals who identify as transgender discussing the challenges of coming home for the holidays and how their family has come to accept their new “gender identity.”

(Heather Clark – Christian News)  “Going home for the holidays, I want to celebrate my transness, my gender non-conformity,” states M.J., who identifies as neither male or female and goes by “they/them/theirs.” “My journey has been this expression of defiance, an expression of boldness. I’m going to do what makes me feel good.” Continue reading

Is Trump the Only Adult in the Room?

“House Speaker Nancy Pelosi held a press conference to announce plans to proceed with articles of impeachment. But she would not say which particular charges would be brought against the president.”

(Victor Davis Hanson)  Donald Trump certainly is mercurial at times. He can be uncouth.

But then again, no president in modern memory has been on the receiving end of such overwhelmingly negative media coverage and a three-year effort to abort his presidency, beginning the day after his election. Continue reading
