Biblical unity and separation

5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest continue to redress the things that remain, and shouldest ordain Elders in every city as I ap- pointed thee. 6 If any be unreproveable, the husband of one wife, having faithful children, which are not slandered of riot, neither are disobedient. 7 For a Bishop must be unreproveable, as God’s steward, not froward, not angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre, 8 But harberous, one that loveth goodness, wise, righteous, holy, temperate, 9 Holding fast that faithful word according to doctrine, that he also may be able to exhort with wholesome doctrine, and convince them that say against it. Titus 1:5-9 (1599 Geneva Bible)

It doesn’t take very long for me to discern whether the person I am dealing with is truly God’s man or woman or is a pretender. That personal interaction is necessary for me to see the true nature and focus of the person…. Continue reading

‘Ten-year stain:’ Bondi asks prosecutors to probe Obama-Biden lawfare as criminal conspiracy

(John Solomon – Just the News) Attorney General Pam Bondi told Just the News that she has asked prosecutors to investigate the Obama-Biden era of lawfare as an ongoing election-meddling conspiracy that protected Democrats from criminal investigation and infringed the civil rights of Republicans like President Donald Trump and his supporters.

Recovering from eye surgery, Bondi made the revelation in written answers Sunday to questions submitted by Just the News, signaling she agrees with FBI Director Kash Patel, who earlier this year penned a memo predicating an investigation looking at the weaponization of intelligence of law-enforcement powers dating to the Russia collusion case as an ongoing conspiracy. Bank It

“The press extinguished due process a long time ago, headlining anything lurid with little perspective or restraint. The evil lawyers understand that no fact-finding will take place as they hawk their blackmail techniques on television. You people know who you are.  Have fun spending the blood money.  But remember, the reaper will have something very special in store for you.”

(Bill O’Reilly) As I get older, my predictions get better. Why? Because, as Gloria Estefan sings, there is a rhythm of the night. A pattern of behavior.  A balance in the universe. So, let’s take a look at 2026.

Up top, no human being can accurately assess what President Trump will do…. Continue reading

Recovering Civilizational Protestantism

“Civilizational Protestantism rested on a confidence that Christian faith was no mere private consolation or a sectarian preference, but a moral inheritance capable of ordering the common life. Its builders believed that Christianity could produce better leaders, more humane institutions, and a more just society. This confidence did not require perfection or coercion. It required the conviction that Christianity, rightly lived, was a blessing to the nation—and therefore something that ought to be publicly expressed, publicly defended, and publicly institutionalized.”

(Josh Abbotoy – American Reformer) On a recent visit to the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee, it struck me that it would be impossible for any branch of American Christianity to reproduce such a thing today. American Christianity—the soul of our nation—is fractured and insecure about its place in public life. Continue reading

The Ruins of New Calvinism: How a Theological Movement Lost Its Center

“Through a series of personal scandals and the broader collapse of credibility surrounding social justice and Covid narratives, the second generation lost much of its authority. I do not want to overstate this. The Gospel Coalition still hosts a well attended biannual conference. But the momentum has shifted. The third generation of the Young, Restless, and Reformed effectively marks the end of the movement as a movement.”

(Jon Harris) Bob the Baptist put out a video recently that is making the private message rounds in my circles. Essentially, his thesis is that baked into the young, restless, and reformed movement, otherwise known as the New Calvinism, was a particular weakness that made it susceptible to the manosphere and the Pagan Right. It is a thoughtful and well documented take, and worth your time if you are interested in understanding how many people who bought into The Gospel Coalition or Acts 29 started prioritizing things like race essentialism, overturning women’s suffrage, and questioning the validity of the Holocaust narrative. Are you willing to suffer in the flesh for Christ’s sake?

17 This I say therefore and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in vanity of their mind. 18 Having their understanding darkened, and being strangers from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart: 19 Which being past feeling, have given themselves unto wantonness, to work all uncleanness, even with greediness. Ephesians 4:17-24 (1599 Geneva Bible) Read verses 20-24 on the site.

From the moment the Gospel was first preached, it has been under attack. Impostors have come along pretending to be genuine Christians or preachers or teachers and they have led many to destruction. Part of my planning for this post was research into The Down-Grade Controversy that Charles Spurgeon was engaged in for many years until his death…. Continue reading

Mayor Karen Bass and LAFD Caught Red Handed in COVER UP of Palisades Fire Response

“Having reviewed the revised version submitted by your office, I must respectfully decline to endorse it in its current form. The document has undergone substantial modifications and contains significant deletions of information that, in some instances, alter the conclusions originally presented.”

(Victoria Taft – PJ Media) Mayor Karen Bass and her DEI hires at the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) were caught red-handed covering up their and the state’s response to the deadly and devastating Palisades Fire by changing or erasing the records in the city’s official after-action report…. How are Christians to live in the temporal?

1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind, which is, that he which hath suffered in the flesh, hath ceased from sin, 2 That he hence forward should live (as much time as remaineth in the flesh) not after the lusts of men, but after the will of God. 1 Peter 4:1-2 (1599 Geneva Bible)

Even though genuine Christians are new creations and have been purchased out of the world through the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross, as they attempt to live godly lives in the temporal, they will come under tremendous pressure to compromise by reverting back to the fleshly way of dealing with life….

The Compromised Church and spiritual blindness

22The light of the body is the eye: if then thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be light. 23 But if thine eye be wicked, then all thy body shall be dark. Wherefore if the light that is in thee, be darkness, how great is that darkness? Matthew 6:22-23 (1599 Geneva Bible)

Since God placed me in this ministry back in 2006 I have been immersed in a battle against a most disturbing phenomenon in the Church in America. In this post we will take a closer look at it. What is it? It is the willful ignorance in our spiritual leaders. Continue reading

Are you praying to the only true God?

(Marsha West – Christian Research Network) Christianity holds to the view that prayer is of the leading of the Holy Spirit. Octavius Winslow put it in these words:

It must be acknowledged by the spiritual mind that all true prayer is of the leading of the Spirit; that He is the author of all real approach of the soul to God. All true prayer is put into words by the Spirit. He is the Author of prayer in the soul.

The scriptures speak of God the Holy Spirit residing within all who believe in the Son of God. The Spirit guides, instructs and empowers believers. (John 14:16-17) As well, the “Spirit of truth” confirms everything about Jesus. (John 15:26) The unregenerate (unsaved) person is not Spirit filled. God does not hear anyone’s prayer unless it is put into words by the Holy Spirit. So if we want our prayers to be heard and answered we must pray to the right God.

“This is life eternal, that they might know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent” (John 17:3).

Before I move on it is necessary to briefly explain what other world religions believe about God. Continue reading

Wonder – Amazement – Awe

By Robb Brunansky

One of the most important applications of Scripture is worship that simply rests in adoration of Jesus, that basks in the reality of who He is, and that feels joy because He simply is.

When we read the account of Jesus’ birth in Luke’s Gospel, we find shepherds out in the field watching their sheep. Suddenly, angels appear to them and proclaim the birth of the Messiah, the Savior, the Son of David. Interestingly, the angels don’t give much “practical application.” They simply tell the shepherds where to find the baby. There are no instructions of what to do when they arrive, no prescribed gift to bring, no good works to do in preparation – nothing at all. Just, simply, go find Jesus and see Him and worship Him.

We’re not told much about what happened when the shepherds were in the presence of the baby Christ. All we know is Mary and Joseph were puzzled as to how the shepherds found them. Then, the shepherds related the angelic message to them, and everyone was in awe at God’s work. That’s it. Wonder. Amazement. Awe.

When the shepherds returned home, they continued their worship in praising God for what they heard and seen. They heard the angelic proclamation. They observed the Son of God lying in a manger. These sights and sounds were enough to produce within them pure and true and sincere worship. Continue reading

How Can I Personally Partake In The Atonement?

By Oswald Chambers from his My Utmost for His Highest devotional for December 23.

14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. Galatians 6:14 (KJV)

The Gospel of Jesus Christ always forces an issue of will. Do I accept God’s verdict on sin in the Cross of Christ? Have I the slightest interest in the death of Jesus? Do I want to be identified with His death, to be killed right out to all interest in sin, in worldliness, in self — to be so identified with Jesus that I am spoilt for every thing else but Him? The great privilege of discipleship is that I can sign on under His Cross, and that means death to sin…. Continue reading

I Am the Good Shepherd

1 Verily, verily I say unto you, He that entereth not in by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up another way, he is a thief and a robber. 2 But he that goeth in by the door, is the shepherd of the sheep. John 10:1-2 (1599 Geneva Bible)

Just because a person claims to be a Christian does not mean that he or she is Regenerate, Justified, Sanctified, or Adopted into God’s family. Many base their standing as a Christian on religious acts they have done. Others claim salvation based upon their good words plus their religion. Tragically, there are also many, and more each day it seems, “Christian leaders” who preach and teach things that they portray as the Good News, but are, instead, only the result of marketing techniques. The Silent Epidemic of Christian Parents Who Are Losing Their Children

(Virgil Walker – Sola Veritas) And every once in a while I see an expression on a parent’s face that makes me pause. It usually happens after a sermon, or while we’re walking to the parking lot, or in the back of a quiet corner of the church where they think no one notices their eyes. It’s a cocktail of confusion, and sadness, and something that feels like fear. Parents of adult kids who have that look on their face I’ve seen people have in front of a grave.

Except that their children are still alive.

Still texting them.

Continuing to turn up at birthdays and holidays.

But something has changed. Continue reading

The Reason for the Season!

(Roger Helle – The Patriot Post) It’s easy to get distracted this time of year — if not by the rush of holiday shopping and looking for the perfect gift, then by the horrible news that seems to get darker and darker every year. Recently, though, it seems to get darker and darker every week!

We have witnessed terrorist attacks here at home and around the globe. Crime seems out of control. Hate flourishes everywhere we look. Politics gets uglier and uglier.

How did we get here? I believe it’s because we have forgotten the real reason we celebrate Christmas — to remember the birth of a child who would grow up to be the savior of the world.

There is no gift that could ever be as valuable as receiving Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Who was Jesus, and why should we care? This Proclamation says it all (source unknown): Continue reading

Mike Benz just examined Epstein files and he’s got a telltale theory…

SALTY LANGUAGE WARNING

“What Mike Benz is laying out forces people to really think about what Epstein was doing and how totally unusual his role was. The story we’ve been told about some wealthy creep with a lot of time on his hands was clearly a cover-up. When you look at the contracts, the access, and the specific government activity that Benz points to, it becomes harder to wave this away as coincidence or exaggeration.”

(Revolver) When President Trump agreed to release the Epstein files, the reaction from the left was rapid and telling. The left-wing media had been blabbering nonstop about “accountability,” and then it suddenly went quiet. The typical voices on the left who recently pretended to care so deeply about the Epstein files once Trump was back in office also got strangely silent.

Rest assured, that silence wasn’t accidental. Continue reading

The Christmas Image

(Don & Joy Veinot – Midwest Christian Outreach) We are a week away from the annual celebration of the incarnation, and the Christmas season is in full swing on all fronts. The Christmas story of the birth of Jesus is very often recounted by churches in pageant form, with children “acting” as various biblical characters. Our home church put on just such a pageant last Sunday. It was simply adorable, as are most Christmas Pageants featuring children as Angels, Shepherds, Mary and Joseph, and the babe in the manger…not to forget the two sheep and a donkey, also played by children who hee-hawed and Baaed at the appointed time. And of course, we must mention the star of Bethlehem, happily bopping about on the stage – with what looked like legs and even a face. Whether or not the “star” also had hands, our somewhat ancient memories cannot supply that information at the moment, but we certainly cannot deny that possibility either. Continue reading

The Reprobate Mind

28 For as they regarded not to acknowledge God, even so God delivered them up unto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient, 29 Being full of all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, of murder, of debate, of deceit, taking all things in the evil part, whisperers…Romans 1:28-31 (1599 Geneva Bible) Read verses 30-31 on the site.

We have been looking at unbelief and the utter foolishness it begets. Also, I have been in discussion with several of you about the trials you are currently going through that are, for the most part, oppression resulting in despair as you are dealing with others who either claim to be Christian, but prove they aren’t by their reprobate lifestyles or they claim to be superior in knowledge about nearly everything and so attack those who profess to be Christian in an attempt to disavow the gospel, the atonement, our desperate need for redemption, and that Jesus Christ came to fulfill that role…. Epstein Files Have Been Released, And Democrats Won’t Like These Photos

Yikes. “Never in American history has a President or the Department of Justice been this transparent with the American people about such a sensitive law enforcement matter,” Blanche added. “Democrat administrations in the past have refused to provide full details of the Jeffrey Epstein saga. But President Trump, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and FBI Director Patel are committed to providing full transparency consistent with the law.”

(Matt Margolis – PJ Media) The massive tranche of Jeffrey Epstein documents released Friday runs hundreds of thousands of pages. It includes the names of more than a dozen politically exposed figures and government officials, according to sources familiar with the material. Continue reading

Erika Kirk: TPUSA and I Will Ensure A Vance 48 Presidency

“This has the aroma of a master strategy to settle the succession even before a primary fight can take place. That doesn’t mean other Republicans may not challenge for the nomination, nor does it suggest that the GOP will make the Democrats’ 2024 mistake of cooking the rules to prevent a serious challenge to the preferred nominee. What it will do is disincentivize those challengers from coming forward at the risk of (a) futility and (b) alienating the MAGA base for interfering in the mission.”

(Ed Morrissey – Hot Air) First, Donald Trump hints at the 2028 ticket in a Cabinet meeting. Next, Marco Rubio endorses J.D. Vance, “If [he] runs for president,” all but clearing the field for the next primary cycle. And now, the key activist group for younger Republicans and the woman who has taken the reins for her martyred husband has unequivocally declared Vance 48 to be their mission. Continue reading

How ‘John’ the Homeless Guy Solved the Brown University Shooting

“A homeless man named “John” apparently is the real hero here. He cracked the case wide open, confronted the shooter, got his description, and that of his car. He’s also the person who posted on Reddit, which essentially solved the case. After the second person of interest ‘in proximity’ to the suspect was released, this person came forward and cooperated fully, which led to Valente being found:

(Matt Vespa – Townhall) The Brown University shooting saga is over. It’s done. The suspect, Claudio Neves Valente, 48, a Portuguese national, was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Salem, New Hampshire…. Continue reading

You are not under law but under grace

14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the Law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the Law, but under grace? God forbid. Romans 6:14-15 (1599 Geneva Bible)

Most of the formative years of my Christian walk were spent in one church from February 1987 through February 2000.  During that time we had three pastors.  I was in some form of teaching for most of that time. One of the things that always came up when we studied the Old Testament was Romans 6:14-15. It was as if someone always had to make sure that we were not being legalistic. They cast the law as far from them and our church as the East is from the West. Is that how we are to treat God’s Law? Continue reading

HHS unleashes sweeping crackdown on child ‘sex-rejecting procedures,’ threatens hospital, Medicaid funding

(Emma Colton – Fox News) The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced a sweeping package of proposed regulatory actions Thursday to end “sex-rejecting procedures” on minors as part of President Donald Trump‘s January executive order calling on the department to protect children from “chemical and surgical mutilation.”

“Today, we are taking six decisive actions guided by gold standard science and the week one executive order from President Trump to protect children from chemical and surgical mutilation,” HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said during a press conference Thursday afternoon announcing the proposed actions. Continue reading
