Which brings us to our next CRT Hall of Shame example, Manhattan’s posh Spence School, which caters to New York City society girls. It broke a few weeks ago that Spence had shown a graduation-day video to eighth-grade students that, as parent and Hispanic tech exec Gabriela Baron put it in a scathing letter, “openly derides, humiliates and ridicules white women.”
(Selwyn Duke – The New American) From the schoolroom to the board room to video on Zoom, Anti-whiteness 101/Divide-and-Conquer Theory (a.k.a. Critical Race Theory) has swept across America like an invading horde. In fact, despite spirited opposition from parents and others coast to coast, it continues spreading due to pseudo-elite embrace. (Ryan P. Burge – Religion in Public) Last November, I wrote a post for Religion in Public with the title, “T
“Keller accepted the theories of science, which he elevated to the primary foundation for the development of his truth claims re: creation and evolution. Dr. Keller seeks to force Biblical interpretation to conform to “settled science.” He failed to accept the Bible as the one, true foundation upon which to build all other beliefs and values.”
In a tweet on July 3, British Columbia Civil Liberties Association executive director Harsha Walia tweeted, “burn it all down,” referencing the churches.
“It is not in any way a figment of my imagination—it’s confirmed, it’s true. They’re not allowed to spy on American citizens. They are. I think more ominously, they’re using the information they gather to put leverage and threaten opposition journalists who criticize the Biden administration. It’s happening to me right now and I think it’s shocking and I don’t think we should put up with it in a free country.”
(Wendell Husebo – Breitbart) Former President Donald Trump announced Wednesday a class action lawsuit against Facebook, Twitter, and Google in the Southern District of Florida to “order an immediate halt to social media companies, illegal, shameful censorship of the American people.”
“For two generations now, safety has increasingly deprived Americans of joys as well as freedoms. Children, in particular, have been so coddled that American children of the last two generations have probably had far less joy and far more fear than children of any previous American generation….”
Luther maintained that theology is not learned only in the safety of a lecture hall, but in the flames of adversity. In fiery trials, one is humbled and broken. It is then that a leader is made most teachable. In difficult times, the illuminating work of the Holy Spirit often shines brightest. Broken hearts make for receptive minds.”
(John Solomon – Just The News) Larry Sanger, the co-founder of Wikipedia, is warning that the online encyclopedia has become too one-sided and overloaded with liberal sources in a way that harms democracy.
(Robert Kraychik – Breitbart) President Joe Biden took notes out of his jacket when asked about “the most recent hack by the Russians” during an ostensibly unscripted visit to a farmer’s market on Saturday in Central Lake, MI.
“In the weeks and months ahead you will no doubt be hearing a lot of criticisms of Overtures 23 and 37. Indeed, the vitriol displayed on social media by the critics of the overtures has been swift and furious. It’s understandable. Those who opposed 23 and 37, while making up a clear minority in the PCA, are passionate in their opposition.”
“[The] pastors who use this service don’t actually spend time exegeting the text and letting the text shape their own theology–rather, they have presuppositions to the text, and this research group will prepare sermons for them based on their own doctrinal beliefs…”
“Dr. Gandhi went on to express she did not expect a surge in COVID-19 cases to occur. She also highlighted the role of natural immunity and how it could protect against reinfection cases.”
(Warner Todd Huston – Breitbart) Just ahead of Independence Day, Marvel Comics featured a new Captain America issue in which the Captain slams the American dream as a false promise.
“The new emails contain additional information directly contradicting President Biden. In addition to earlier pictures from golf trips and references to his involvement or knowledge, new material refers to a notable dinner arranged in Washington, D.C.”
“In the study, researchers asked forty-five kids between the ages of six and 17 to wear face masks for a very short period of time in a controlled environment. Within just three minutes, they found that kids were inhaling carbon dioxide up to more than six times the acceptable limit for adults. The younger the children, the higher the concentration of carbon dioxide.”
“Cognia, the company who decides if your child’s school is up to snuff, has a business model that’s tough to beat: A non-governmental organization supported by government funding. Put another way, Cognia lives off the taxpayers’ teat, but is accountable to no one. Not bad work if you can get it.”
While the U.S. southern border remains wide open for drug and human smugglers and neighborhoods in inner cities resemble Third-World war zones each night, the country’s top law enforcement agency, with an almost religious zeal, is hunting down sightseeing grandmothers, disabled veterans, and other Americans. There’s even valid speculation the FBI isn’t just working this operation from the outside but from the inside, too.
“If religious feeling makes confessional truth subservient to the changing aspect of our communities, then it should be no real surprise that what we are seeing happen in the “current” sexual revolution is redefining of what is means to be confessional based on the religious experience of the moment. This is what the PCA is up against and, well, all of us together as believers in Christ.”
“Here’s the bottom line that the SBC’s “woke” leaders better wake up to (no pun intended): Most of the 14 million Southern Baptists in the denomination’s churches will not sit and be propagandized with CRT or any other false gospel much longer. Keep it up and the SBC will soon be just another dying Protestant has-been.”
(Michael Patrick Leahy – Breitbart) The U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) on Thursday upheld the Arizona statute that bans ballot harvesting and a policy that throws out votes cast by persons in precincts in which they do not reside.
“Our top officers, active and retired, reveal inconsistent views on recommended readings, ideological indoctrination, and the use of federal troops during domestic crises. They are similarly selective and partisan in shrill criticism of particular presidents. Some blast political opponents with inflammatory comparisons to the Nazis and fascists.”
“Perhaps the Tolkien Society is acting on the assumption that no one will be able to speak on behalf of J.R.R. Tolkien to express what would certainly have been his utter disgust at having his works twisted to support the LGBT agenda.”
