Are Christian men acting like men and are women encouraging them to do so?

“Our sexually perverse society has scrambled our perceptions. To be fair, our perceptions have long been scrambled. Historians trace it all the way back to the beginning of the Industrial Age when husbands spent a great deal of time away from home working in factories to support their families, leaving women in charge. Women were most present in church and, as might be expected, ended up “redecorating” churches, so to speak. They made them more “gentle,” more “sensitive,” more emotional.”

The media protected Jeffrey Epstein and crucified Brett Kavanaugh

“It should be added here that Page Six, the New York Post’s gossip column, had reported on ABC’s George Stephanopoulos attending parties at Epstein’s townhouse on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. This not only gives the lie to the excuse that Epstein was insignificant, but it also offers a motive for top brass at ABC to do what they did. … ABC News, ostensibly a news organization, sat on one of the biggest and most consequential stories of the past decade. By the company’s explanation, this was for the sake of an editorial standard, a standard that was strangely missing from its coverage of another significant moment in recent U.S. history.”

(Editors – Washington Examiner) Is it any wonder the American public distrusts the media? Continue reading

John Crist Cancels 2019 Tour Dates After Reports of Sexual Misconduct Allegations

“According to multiple sources, Crist has exploited his Christian reputation and platform to harass, manipulate and exploit young women over the last seven years. The allegations include, but are not limited to, individually sexting multiple women during the same time period, initiating sexual relationships with married women and women in committed relationships, offering show tickets in exchange for sexual favors and repeatedly calling these women late at night while drunk.”

(Reagan Hall – Pulpit & Pen)  Popular Christian comedian, John Crist, has cancelled his 2019 tour dates after an anonymous woman came forward with reports of sexting, harassment and manipulation. In December 2018, Crist expressed his disdain for “judgmental Christians” after Lauren Daigle was criticized for her stance on homosexuality. Now we know why. This is breaking news. Continue reading

Theology Learned in the Flames of Adversity

In 1527, Martin Luther experienced a trial so severe that church historian Philip Schaff described that year simply as “the disastrous year.” It was the time of Luther’s “severest spiritual and physical trials.” As the leading figure of the Reformation, Luther paid a high price in the struggle for truth, and his physical condition deteriorated under the movement’s mounting demands. On April 22, 1527, Luther was so overcome by dizziness in the pulpit that he stopped preaching and was forced to retire. Other physical problems followed for the Reformer, including severe heart problems, digestive ailments, and fainting spells. He also began to wear down emotionally, suffering bouts of discouragement and depression. Continue reading

7-Year-Old Whose Mom Tried to Force ‘Gender Transition’ on Him Chooses to Attend School as a Boy

In the ruling, one of the court findings highlighted a statement from Dr. Albritton, the custody evaluator, that Dr. [Anne] Georgulas was “over and above affirming.” The court also found that “the Mother has exceeded the scope of the exclusive rights and duties provided in the prior order.”

(LifeSiteNews) – Seven-year-old James Younger, whose mother enrolled him in kindergarten as a “girl,” has finally been able to attend school as a boy for the first time.

James’ parents’ fight over whether he should be subjected to a gender “transition” garnered national attention after LifeSiteNews and The Texan reported on the trial. Continue reading

Lesbian Pastor to Lead National Abortion Federation

At a Kentucky Reproductive Freedom Fund event, Ragsdale claimed – according to Lifesite News – that “the Bible says nothing about abortion and that it’s dishonest and manipulative to call the human in the womb a baby.”

(Pulpit & Pen)  As if being a female pastor wasn’t sinful enough, this woman is a lesbian pastor. And if that weren’t bad enough (and it’s plenty bad), she’s also just been appointed to head-up the National Abortion Federation (NAF), an organization that fights for the ‘right’ of mothers to ruthlessly assault and destroy their unborn children. An Assault upon Complementarianism Is an Assault upon the Bride of Christ

“[W]hen complementarianism is attacked, we should see it as an assault upon biblical truth. So, a move away from complementarianism is a move away from the Bible. That’s always dangerous. If we truly care for the little girls and the women within evangelical circles, wouldn’t we want to cling tightly to the text of Scripture instead of promoting a road that’s filled with dangerous potholes that ends in utter disaster? The egalitarian road is unbiblical and harmful to women in the sense that it asks women to do what God never designed them to do. Such burdens are harmful.”

(Josh Buice – Delivered By Grace)  One of the great tragedies of our day has been parade of testimonies of women who have been abused by men within the corporate world, the political world, and yes, even within the Church…. Continue reading

The First Thing: Prayer

First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, 2for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time. 7For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying) as a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. 1 Tim 2:1-7

We now come to the second assignment the apostle gave to Timothy, and that is to set in order the public worship of the assembly in Ephesus. This is a relevant subject, because it is why we come together every Sunday morning. Public worship is a very revealing indication of what is going on in a church. Continue reading

National Radio Host Demonstrates Mohler is Not a Conservative, His Positions Are From Politics Rather Than Conviction

“[T]he smoking gun evidence provided by Mefferd against Mohler was audio clips from interviews conducted in 1997 with key leaders in the SBC during the tail-end of the Conservative Resurgence who claim that Mohler is a convinced progressive and liberal and did not change his views (or appear to) until it was clear that his side would lose the denominational battle.”

(Pulpit & Pen)  Nationally syndicated radio host and conservative Christian pundit, Janet Mefferd, used her time on America’s airwaves yesterday to discuss Albert Mohler’s nomination for the presidency of the Southern Baptist Convention. Continue reading

BOMBSHELL: ABC News Killed Epstein-Clinton Story, Says Anchor In Hot Mic Video

“It is not perfectly clear what exactly Robach meant when she said she had “Clinton” but it almost certainly is in reference to former President Bill Clinton’s connections to Epstein, which have long been documented.”

(Ryan Saavedra – Daily Wire)  A leaked video from inside ABC News, exclusively obtained by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas, shows anchor Amy Robach talking for several minutes on a hot mic claiming that the network had a bombshell story on convicted child sex predator Jeffrey Epstein several years ago, but that the network killed the story. When a Canadian Explained to Me the Horrors of Socialized Medicine

At the bottom of all this Medicare for All business is the weakness it shows that resides to varying degrees in all of us.  It is the weakness of ignorance about liberty, history, and economics.  It is also the weakness of not wanting to grow up.  And that combination of ignorance, foolishness, and childishness only wrecks the adult world in which we live.  Socialism in medicine or anything else is not kind, not compassionate, and not progressive.  What it produces is mean, nasty, dark, destructive, and regressive.”

(Bonnie Cohen and Howard Sachs – American Thinker)  I was in line at Costco — that wonderful example of American liberty, capitalism, the profit motive, and what it brings us — namely, a bounty of wonderful goods and services we freely choose, all at low cost and high quality.  Costco is an example of what’s right in America…. Mexican cartel massacre: 9 Americans, including 6 children from Mormon offshoot murdered

“A wonderful family and friends from Utah got caught between two vicious drug cartels, who were shooting at each other, with the result being many great American people killed, including young children, and some missing. If Mexico needs or requests help in cleaning out these monsters, the United States stands ready, willing & able to get involved and do the job quickly and effectively. The great new President of Mexico has made this a big issue, but the cartels have become so large and powerful that you sometimes need an army to defeat an army!”

(Danielle Wallace – Fox News)  At least six children and three women living in a faith-based community of U.S. citizens in Mexico were shot to death Monday in the northern part of the country, and six more children were wounded after their convoy came under fire during a brazen daylight ambush believed to have been carried out by gunmen affiliated with the cartels. Four Implications of Martin Luther’s Theology

What do the sovereignty of God, salvation by grace, justification by faith, and new life in union with Christ mean for the living of the Christian life? For Martin Luther, they carry four implications:

The first implication is the knowledge that the Christian believer is simul iustus et peccator, at one and the same time justified and yet a sinner. This principle, to which Luther may have been stimulated by John Tauler’s Theologia Germanica, was a hugely stabilizing principle: in and of myself, all I see is a sinner; but when I see myself in Christ, I see a man counted righteous with His perfect righteousness…. Elders at Harvest Formally Disqualify James MacDonald From Ministry

“We have communicated to James that he needs to find a small group of godly brothers to restore him biblically in the spirit of gentleness. He needs an extended period of time away from ministry in order to focus on repentance and to seek relational reconciliation and restitution where it is possible. We are all in need of God’s grace. And we have implored James to humble himself and fully surrender to the Lord.”

(Julie Roys)  The Elders at Harvest Bible Chapel today formally disqualified former pastor, James MacDonald, from ministry, saying his behavior did not meet the qualifications for an elder, according to Scripture. Elder Karl Jackson read the following letter to the congregation: Continue reading

Bill Clinton ‘Credibly Accused’ Of Rape, Investigation Long ‘Overdue’

I further demand an FBI investigation into the sexual assault allegations against Bill Clinton by @kathleenwilley and Leslie Millwee @Astroluvr And many others. WE deserve to be heard too.”

(Ryan Saavedra – Daily Wire)  Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Ronan Farrow, who recently released the blockbuster book “Catch and Kill,” said during an interview on Friday that an investigation  into “credible” rape accusations that have been made against former Democrat President Bill Clinton is long “overdue.” Continue reading

Crisis of Faith

I cry aloud to God, aloud to God, and he will hear me. 2In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord; in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying; my soul refuses to be comforted. 3When I remember God, I moan; when I meditate, my spirit faints. Selah  Psalm 77:1-10 (Read verses 4-10 on the site)

Here is a man who is really trying to be honest. He says, “I have analyzed my situation: I tried prayer all night long. In the past I have been given help, but no help has come now. God has made my heart to sing in the past, but it is empty, barren, and cheerless now. Why is this?…. Continue reading

Former Gay Man Stuns with ‘Nothing But the Blood’ in U.S. Capitol

Byrd thought of himself as a “transsexual.” One night, a woman walked up to him at a bar and told him about Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit to change him.

(Pulpit & Pen)  The Gospel Coalition (TGC) is tramping out a gaggle of same-sex attracted Christians (Sam Allberry, Rebecca McLaughlin, Rachel Gilson, Jackie Hill Perry) and many others who still struggle with their queerness and haven’t yet been set free indeed from their former lusts. Their singular message is this: God will not change your desires, so learn to deal with them.

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed (John 8:36)

New Founders 14-Minute Trailer Accuses Matt Chandler and Other SBC Leaders of Abandoning Scripture

“Other targets of criticism include Jarvis Williams, a prominent and influential professor at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS) under Al Mohler as well as Matthew Hall, the provost of SBTS — both staunch proponents of Critical Race Theory.”

(Jeff Maples – Reformation Charlotte)  A few months ago, Tom Ascol and Founders Ministry faced a lot of backlash after releasing a 3-minute trailer that indicted a multitude of Southern Baptist leaders for racial instigation and mission drift…. Continue reading

Adam Schiff’s drive to impeach Trump based on opinions, deception and illusions – Not facts

“It is folly for Democrats to argue that a diplomatic conversation of this nature somehow constitutes an impeachable offense. Schiff, the illusionist, can offer nothing but impressions, perceptions, judgments and opinions. It is all irrelevant and a sham. Facts are what matter.”

(Greg Jarrett – Fox News)  Rep. Adam Schiff is a poor man’s Harry Houdini. He is a cheap illusionist performing amateurish parlor tricks of deception in his quest to convince his audience that he possesses damning evidence of an impeachable offense committed by President Trump. Continue reading

Disgraced Pastor Mark Driscoll to Speak at Larry Osborne’s Conference on ‘Healthy, Thriving Ministries’; Sponsors Drop

“Osborne…has a history with Driscoll dating back 15 years and served on Mars Hill’s Board of Accountability (BOAA) and Advisors until Mars Hill closed in 2015. In 2014, when the church planting network Acts 29 kicked Driscoll out of its organization for “ungodly and disqualifying behavior,” the BOAA refused to do the same. Since then, Osborne has continued to partner with Driscoll, speaking at Driscoll’s church, endorsing Driscoll’s books, and speaking with Driscoll at ministry events.”

(Julie Roys) Mark Driscoll, the disgraced, former pastor of Mars Hill Church who resigned amid allegations of bullying and abuse of power, is slated to headline Sticky Teams West 2020—a “premier leadership conference,” on building “healthy, thriving ministries.” As a result, sponsors are dropping their support of the conference. Televangelist Paula White joins White House staff

Donald Trump & Paula White. Photo credit: Christian Today

Prosperity health & wealth preacher Paula White, who is one of President Trump’s spiritual advisers, once asked her followers to give a “first fruits” financial offering claiming that there are “consequences” for those who don’t do so out of “ignorance or direct disobedience.” White urged people to click on a donate button to give their first fruits offering to her ministry. “I want you to click on that button,” she pleaded, “and I want you to honor God with His first fruits offering.” At one time there was a YouTube video of this but, not surprisingly, it’s no longer available. As well, any mention that she encouraged people to give a “first fruits” offering has been removed from her website (More here). Word of Faith/prosperity/health & wealth/name-it-and-claim-it beliefs are unbiblical. In fact, the prosperity gospel saves no one.Continue reading

Dordt (Christian) University Now Teaching Gender is Determined by Clothing Choice

The instructor’s clip says “Gender…is your own internal sense of self, how you express yourself, cultural expectations for what it means to be a man and a woman, or one’s biological sex.”

(Pulpit & Pen)  A Christian University in America’s heartland originally named after the Synod of Dordrecht – an important council of Protestant Reformed history that opposed Arminianism – has apparently adopted a science-fiction view of gender and is now teaching that it is determined by clothing choice rather than God’s immutable decrees as revealed in human biology.
