But there is a particular grievance with hip-hop culture that appears to have carried over and is inexcusable. It’s the fact that the “gangsta” lifestyle that hip-hop was born out of doesn’t seem to be removed from the “Christian” version of it. In fact, with the majority of these “Christian” hip-hop artists, the only difference in their life and music is that they throw in a “Jesus” here and there.

(Ray Fava – Evangelica Dark Web) After breaking the initial story about David Sills filing a defamation lawsuit against the SBC, prominent figures, and Guidepost, Baptist News Global did not wait long to write a hit piece against supportive voices of the lawsuit, namely Tom Ascol, Tom Buck, and Megan Basham. The first two are prominent pastors in the SBC who oppose the liberal drift. Basham is a Daily Wire reporter who has taken on issues that Evangelical Dark Web writes on (among others), and broadcasts them to a much larger audience.

(Ron DiGiacomo) Many Christians believe that the second commandment has always only been against making an image of God and using it as a worship aid, like Roman Catholicism promotes in practice. (The Eastern Church’s icons are usually up for grabs.) A growing number of Protestants who avoid crucifixes and such will say that the commandment is addressing carved images or possibly God’s divine nature but certainly not Jesus’ human nature acted out in a movie. Of course, these Protestants don’t adhere to WLC #109, which forbids under the Second Commandment “the making any representation of God, of all or of any of the three persons, either inwardly in our mind, or outwardly in any kind of image…” 
(The Dissenter) Cessationism is the doctrine that the Apostolic sign gifts such as speaking in tongues, prophecy, and the gift of healing (not to be confused with God actually healing people), are not practiced today but, instead, were gifts given to certain people in the early Church before the closing of the biblical canon as a means to demonstrate the authority of the Words of God being spoken. In other words, cessationism teaches that these gifts have ceased and that the Scriptures are complete.

As I pointed out in an piece I penned last year (link below), a lot of professing Christians don’t realize that practicing Mormons, who have a different Jesus than the Jesus in the Bible, are involved in the production of The Chosen. And that should concern Bible believing Christians. Why? Because Mormonism is a theological cult, which means Mormons are not true Christians. Mormons are counterfeit Christians. And yet Dallas Jenkins chose to yoke with unbelievers to assist in the production of his tv series. Paul deals with this issue in 2 Corinthians: “What partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever?”
