“Every one of us ought to read the woes against the pharisees and tremble as we recognize that the judgment pronounced on them we also ought to face.”
(Josh Rieger) The Great Sequoias are one of the most majestic things on earth. They grow to enormous sizes. They live for millennia. But as amazing as they are, they require fire to reproduce. Apart from forest fires their cones won’t open and release the seedlings, the ground won’t be clear from underbrush and leaves for the seeds to germinate in the soil, and light and water will not be able to reach the forest floor to give them the proper conditions to grow. (Matt Vespa – PJ Media) Is populism dead? It depends on who you ask. In Argentina, right-wing populism thrives after nearly two decades of left-wing Peronism, leading to two lost economic decades. A whopping forty percent of the population now lives in poverty, the peso has collapsed, and inflation is sky-high. Does this sound familiar? In a country dominated by the Kirchners, it’s quite a slap in the face to the nation’s political class that Javier Milei is the new president. It’s much like Trump’s 2016 win, a rejection of eight years under Obama.
The two execrable Republicans who were integral to the charade — “Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney — are no longer members of Congress, but they’re still skittish about being found out. Sen. Mike Lee from Utah is interested in officially exploring the committee’s selective editing…”
14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15 Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? 2 Corinthians 6:14-15 (LSB)
(Protestia) In late June of this year, residents of Murfreesboro in Tennessee passed an ordinance that critics say banned all public displays of homosexuality. At the time city officials were particularly concerned about banning Pride parades after last year’s festivities saw marchers in various stages of undress, and a “family-friendly” drag show saw the performer twerking and acting out sexually in front of children- something LGBTQ love seeing, but normal folks despise.
(Matt Margolis – PJ Media) Moments ago, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) publicly released footage from the events of Jan. 6, 2021.
Graphic language warning toward the end
(Mary Dowling) We came to the point where we think that we’re going to prevent bad weather by eliminating fossil fuels. It’s just about the most nonsensical, illogical thing that I can imagine, and the whole world is caught up in this nonsense. ~ Climatologist, Judith Curry
“God’s true children must rely upon Biblical authority in their presentations of the gospel of Christ. They must reject the popular methodologies recommended by popular leaders like Timothy Keller. The sinfulness of sinners prevents their response to mere humanistic attempts of reason and marketing of benefits. Sinners stand separated from God by their sin, spiritually dead, and condemned under God’s judgment, the real reason they need Christ. He alone saves sinners and reconciles them to God.”
(Magdalene Henah) The Vatican continues leaving a trail of bad theology and ecumenism in its wake, with The Dicastery for Interreligious Dialogue releasing a
(The Dissenter) “Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me.”
(Protestia) Daily Wire hosts Ben Shapiro and Candace Owens have brought their simmering feud to the public, seeking to ‘destroy’ each other over a couple of posts that have scripture as their center.
(Matt Margolis – PJ Media) Well, this isn’t very comforting. A team of aviation analysts called the National Airspace System (NAS) Safety Review Team (SRT), scrutinized the safety records of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and essentially hit the panic button over a surge in “serious close calls” between planes. Without more staffing, equipment, and better technology, the situation is only going to get worse, the analysts said.
(Paul Bois – Breitbart) Several arrests have been made outside the DNC offices in Washington, DC, where pro-Palestinian protesters violently clashed with police on Wednesday.
“The one thing he doesn’t mention is Obama-led alterations to the Smith Mundt Act that now allows the government to spread propaganda in the media. 2016 that’s a good set of circumstances for the government. Donald Trump is new to all of it, and Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell are worthless.”
(Matt Vespa – Townhall) Israeli forces were seen displaying their flag proudly in the captured parliament chamber of Hamas. They’ve also been giving extensive tours of the weapons caches and rocket sites used by the terror group; unsurprisingly, many were civilian facilities, like children’s schools. Hamas has done this for years, but their grip on Gaza is being methodically chipped away. As of now, they’ve lost control of Northern Gaza.
“Left-wing CNN analyst Van Jones — once an icon on the same “progressive” left that now opposes Israel — spoke, as did conservative pastor [heretic] John Hagee.”
“This seems to be what Jesus is talking about when he speaks about casting our pearls before swine. It’s certainly what he did with the Pharisees, when he reached a point where he insisted they would get no further signs from him nor would he even bother answering their questions anymore.”
“This awful abuse of expression began when Trump became president in 2016. Executives at Disney/ABC, Comcast/NBC, Paramount/CBS, and Warner Brothers/CNN all ordered their TV personnel to go after Trump and ignore his supporters. That’s called blackballing.”
There is still a part of me that wants peace, of course I do. But these monsters – Hamas – have to be defeated.” That’s true. As the old saying goes, a conservative is a liberal who has been mugged by reality. And here we are.”
(The Dissenter) Last Friday, author and speaker Rosaria Butterfield spoke at the convocation for Liberty University. Rosaria Butterfield is a former tenured professor of English and women’s studies at Syracuse University who became a Christian in 1999. Her conversion story, which includes leaving a lesbian lifestyle, is detailed in her memoir, “The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert.”
