Patricia Heaton Rips ‘Fear-Mongering’ Media Election Coverage, Offers Prayer to Traumatized Head-Shaving Women

(Paul Bios – Breitbart) Actress Patricia Heaton hit at the “fear-mongering” media for traumatizing people after President-elect Donald Trump defeated Kamala Harris last week.

Heaton delivered her takedown of the media over the weekend with a video posted on X.

“To all these extremists that are allowed television time, who told women that this is what is going to happen to them, shame on you! Shame on you!” she said. “Apparently, there are some really vulnerable people here who you targeted, and you fear-mongered to and you need to go back on the air and tell them things are going to be okay, tell them that they’re fine.” Continue reading

What do we do to become Spirit-Filled?

12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts, 13 and do not go on presenting your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. Romans 6:12-13 (LSB) See the LSB version on the site.

There are many requirements for the Christian to become Spirit-filled, but there is one thing that is truly the key to that filling. We find the Greek word that exemplifies this in Romans 6:13 and Romans 12:1 (above). The LSB translates this word as “present” in both cases. While these translations describe the action Paul intended, I think it would have been more descriptive and more theologically correct for them to have used forms of the word “yield” here instead of “present.” Why?… Continue reading

More fallout on Steve Lawson’s betrayal.

UPDATE below:

We’re posting two articles that report on the Steve Lawson situation. Both of them contain some of the same information; but also contain new info. After reading article #1, return to CRN to read #2 which contains Lawson’s words of regret on the damage (pain) he has caused his family and a host of others.

Article #1 Steve Lawson: Fake Pastor, Fake News, Real Mistress – Ray Fava – Evangelical Dark Web

Over the weekend, Evangelical Dark Web reported on how Trinity Bible Church hid in plain sight the fact that Steve Lawson was never a pastor at their church but rather a performer on Sunday mornings. Nevertheless, Steve Lawson was paraded across several ministries: One Passion Ministries, Ligonier, The Master’s University and Seminary, G3 Ministries, and Grace Community Church…. Continue reading

#Resistance Liberals Tattoo Themselves Blue to Oppose Fascism, Spot ‘Safe People’

(Ben Bartee – PJ Media) I don’t suppose we really needed more evidence that we have a hefty mental health pandemic on our hands in the West — that case has already been adjudicated for anyone paying attention — but, boy, has this election really ripped any remanence of a veneer of sanity off.

Via Glamour (emphasis added):

After the election of Donald Trump, many white women are feeling betrayed by the 53% of their peers who voted for him. Their answer? A blue bracelet. Continue reading

Civil War Is Breaking Out in the Democratic Party

“Blaming Biden for not dropping out sooner is absurd, especially when Pelosi and other leaders were part of the cover-up of Biden’s poor cognitive health. But now that Pelosi is blaming Biden, you can expect this civil war to really ramp up.”

(Matt Margolis – PJ Media) The Democratic Party is in a state of self-destruction. That’s no exaggeration. Party leaders aren’t just reeling from Donald Trump’s stunning victory earlier this week—they’re turning on each other, casting blame in a way that signals a deepening internal divide…. Charismatic Prophets Say 2020 Prophecies About Trump Victory ‘Were Actually for 2024’

“[Johnny] Enlow was the most dramatic of the holdouts. In April 2021, he posted on Facebook his vision of Trump seated on a heavenly throne wearing a golden crown and holding a golden scepter.”

(Julia Duin) Smelling victory, some of the charismatic Christian prophets backing presidential nominee Donald Trump are already rejoicing on social media.

“I stand by every word that God gave me, see you on the other side of victory! Numbers 12:6,” wrote “Prophet” Charlie Shamp, president of Destiny Encounters International in Moravian Falls, North Carolina, on X Monday night. Continue reading

Steve Lawson Was Not a Pastor, Elder or Even a Member at Trinity Bible Church

“Steve Lawson’s adultery is worse actually.”

(Protestia) Six weeks have passed since Trinity Bible Church revealed that Steve Lawson was disqualified from “ministry activities” for having an “inappropriate relationship” with a woman who was not his wife, and a new report offers insight into why this whole situation has been so strange and murky.

According to pastors Derek Brown and Cliff McManis of Creekside Bible Church in Cupertino, California, on an episode of their podcast With All Wisdom, using information that has been “verified by the testimony of two or three witnesses,” Steve Lawson, though he previously served as a pastor of previous churches, was neither a pastor, nor an elder, nor even a member at Trinity Bible Church. Justification by Faith vs Religion

17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “BUT THE RIGHTEOUS WILL LIVE BY FAITH.” Romans 1:17 (LSB)

The Protestant Reformation was used by God to restore the lost doctrine of Justification by Faith. Also, all of the reformers were adamant that the Bible be available to all people in a language they could read and understand. The Roman Catholic Church of that era was apostate and taught a corrupt gospel based on works. The Bible was kept locked up and away from non-scholars. It was always read verbally to the people in Latin, which few understood. Continue reading

Trump’s first appointment, Catholic vote turns against Harris, voters reject noncitizen voting, and more.

(Below the Fold – Patriot Post Headlines) The editors cover all sorts of need-to-know topics. Their reporting is short and pithy. One topic they cover is how the FBI took Trump’s win. According to one source, FBI leaders “are reportedly “stunned,” “shellshocked,” and walking around in a daze after the American people resoundingly reelected Donald Trump. Now to TPP’s Below the Fold:

What every Christian needs to understand about a Trump victory

“We have to see the political shift as an opportunity to advance truth not a momentary reprieve from an inevitable cultural collapse.”

(Clear Truth Media – Ben Schettler) Can we praise God for Trump? Yes.

God gave us mercy in a form that’s difficult for the pious to understand. But He has used far worse men than Trump to save His people before.

So, as we celebrate a shift in political power, what should faithful Christians learn from this win and how should we prepare for the next four years? Continue reading

Geert Wilders Condemns ‘Pogrom in the Streets of Amsterdam’ After Israeli Soccer Fans Brutally Attacked

(Simon Kent – Breitbart) Dutch populist leader Geert Wilders has condemned what appeared to be an organized, widespread targeted attack by anti-Israel rioters in Amsterdam on Thursday night, branding it a “pogrom” on the streets of the capital.

As Breitbart News reported, Dutch security forces appeared unable to protect the tourists as they were ambushed by roaming gangs of masked attackers who shouted “Free Palestine” as they hunted, beat and brutally harassed the Israelis. Continue reading

Who Has Eternal Life?

24 “Truly, truly I say to you that the one who hears my Word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and does not come into judgment, but has been transferred out of death into life. (John 5:24 translated from the NA28 Greek text)

I recently listened to a discussion between several theologians as they contrasted the reaction the 1st Century Jews had to Jesus’ claim to deity with that of the heretics who came later. These 1st Century Jews took Jesus’ words in John 5 about his relationship to the Father as claims of deity, that is, making himself equal with God (John 5:18). Heretics who were not from the time of our Lord and were not Jews of that period were the ones who came up with Arianism, Modalism, etc…. Continue reading

Trump Mulling Cabinet, Admin Staff Positions

“In 2017, we saw unprecedented obstruction by Democrats of President Trump’s nominees. This must not happen again.”

(Charlie McCarthy – Newsmax) President-elect Donald Trump and his team are wasting little time in focusing on how to staff a second administration.

Following his landslide victory Tuesday over Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump has been huddling with donors, family members, and advisers at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, the Washington Examiner reported. Continue reading

A Fond Look Back at Harris’s Train Wreck Car Crash Dumpster Fire Campaign

“It ended as it had to, with Harris spending money her campaign didn’t have (she’s currently $20 million in the hole, despite raking in more than ONE BILLION DOLLARS) on celebrity endorsements that didn’t matter on the way to losing everything to a convicted felon that nearly half the country has been deluded into believing is Literally Hitler™.”

(Stephen Green – PJ Media) The disaster began, as so many do, with a few ill-chosen words pouring out of the mouth of Joe Biden in a hamfisted attempt to woo voters. After promising at a March 2020 primary debate to pick a woman as his running mate, Biden then got bullied by fellow Democrats into picking a black woman. Continue reading

Yes, The Trump Government Should Wield The Sword Against Progressivism

“Christians must keep putting their hands to the plow (Luke 9:62). For though the forces of darkness have suffered a political setback, we cannot forget that, like the Evangelicals For Harris, they won’t being going away unless and until they are winnowed or won to Christ, who is the Lord of all.”

(Doug Ponder – Clear Truth Media) I’ve written far more on political theology in the last couple of years than I ever thought I would (see herehere, and here, for example). I suppose that desperate times call for decisive measures.

To put the matter bluntly, a lot of evangelical Christians—including pastors—have discovered that their grasp of the intersection between theology and politics is insufficient to navigate the waters we now swim in…. Continue reading

How the Steven Lawson Scandal is Good for the Church

“It’s not merely that Steven Lawson failed, and failed miserably—it’s that we, the Church, possess an almost comically unquenchable thirst for heroes. We crave Christian celebrities with the desperation of teenage girls clamoring for knights in shining armor while playing dress-up with their mom’s wedding gown.”

(The Dissenter) Steven J. Lawson, a name synonymous with doctrinal precision, rock-solid Reformed theology, and more respect in the conference circuit than most people can imagine, has fallen. The man many considered an indomitable force of gospel preaching has become the latest headline in a growing list of scandals that illuminate modern evangelicalism’s unhealthy relationship with celebrity culture. The Liberal Media Absolutely Lost It When Trump Won the 2024 Election

(Matt Vespa – Townhall) It was a blue mirage. Liberals were confident in beating Donald Trump, despite Kamala Harris’s lack of intelligence and political acumen to be president. The polls showed a close race. It ended up being much like 2016—Trump cinched an Electoral College landslide, and he’s going to win the popular vote. On both fronts of their coping sessions, the Left has nothing. You can’t seethe about the Electoral College when Trump won the popular vote.

It’s time for the Left to realize that Trump isn’t a fluke—he’s at the helm of a movement that outright slaughtered the Democrats last night…. Continue reading

In Which We Try Not To Gloat

(Clear Truth Media) It would, of course, be very poor form after what can rightly be described as a crushing electoral victory for the Republican Party, to spend the morning basking in the glory of such a triumph, drinking the sweet, sweet nectar of progressive tears, and playing the wailing and gnashing of their teeth as a kind of soothing whale-song with which to unwind after a long but magnificent night.

It would be deeply unkind to look around our bookmark folders on X and find the long, long list of failed predictions. For instance, anyone considering mentioning the Selzer poll—’The Best Pollster In Politics’—declaring a Harris lead of +3 in Iowa only to see Trump take the state by 13 points, really should stay quiet. Powerful Megyn Kelly Endorsement Has Dana Bash Seething

Watch Megan’s powerful speech on X.

(Mary Dowling) Megyn Kelly endorsed Donald Trump last night. Her speech was powerful. In it, she emphasized the importance of voting for Trump and encouraged others to do the same. Kelly cited immigration, women’s safety, and masculinity as key issues.

The following is a partially rushed transcript.

“First of all, one of the reasons why I wanted to come here, one of the many reasons I wanted to come here. When I launched my show four years ago, we had Mark Cuban on the program. [Many] have seen he was in the news this week, and he started going on about how bad America’s race history was and how ashamed he was of America, and that’s why I was at all these protests. And he felt it was really important to stand up and speak out about human rights violations. Continue reading

The Word Became Flesh

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. 5 And the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overtake it. John 1:1-5 (LSB)

All in Christ belong to the living God. He gave all of them to the Son (John 6:37). Each of them comes to the Son and is saved. There was a time before God shattered my religious idols back in 2004 that I was sure in my mind and my understanding that genuine Christians believed like those in my church…. Continue reading

Once Joyful Harris Now Goes the Full McCarthyite

Why then the charges of Trump the fascist and Hitler reincarnation? Simple. Harris’s personal negatives are rising, her polls inert. She has abandoned her prior run-out-the-clock avoidance of the media, her smiley “joy” campaign, and instead now embraces the big lie, while President Joe Biden writes off Trump supporters as “garbage.”

(Victor Davis Hanson) In the last two weeks, Vice President Kamala Harris has been trying to revive her stagnant campaign by smearing Trump as being Hitlerian and a fascist. She claims Trump is planning to put his enemies in encampments. Continue reading

Biden spent billions to delay Medicare premiums spike, protect Harris campaign before election

(Steven Richards – Just the News) Democrats were confronted earlier this year with a terrifying reality: a cap on out-of-pocket costs for patients to limit Medicare drug spending passed as part of Biden’s signature Inflation Reduction Act was set to spike premiums for millions of senior citizens just weeks before the 2024 presidential election.

To avoid the political catastrophe of presiding over major premium increases in the middle of a closely contested election, the Biden-Harris administration used its authority to reroute appropriated funding to subsidize the premiums for seniors until after the election. Continue reading

‘I’m Done!’ Hugh Hewitt Quits Washington Post; Storms Out of Room During Live WaPo Broadcast Over Bias

“Hewitt pointed out that as “news people” they should try actually reporting the full story.”

(Debra Heine – American Greatness) Conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt wrecked the Washington Post’s live online show “First Look,” Friday, storming out of the room and quitting in disgust after the host’s anti-Trump bias got too much for him.

Hewitt, who has written hundreds of columns for the Post since 2017, told Fox News Digital: “I have in fact quit the Post but I was only writing a column for them every six weeks or so.” Continue reading
