Charisma News Has So Many Dumb Contributors

“Let’s just take a couple of examples. One headline today read Shawn Bolz Offers Prophetic Perspective Into Easter Bombings That Killed Hundreds. Now seriously, what Christian in his right mind actually thinks Shawn Bolz is a prophet and has any kind of “prophetic perspective” to offer about anything?”

(Jeff Maples – Reformation Charlotte)  One of the reasons I follow and read Charisma News and Charisma Magazine is that I find it very interesting — entertaining even — to watch what appears to be a scheduled series of soap operas with a dominant theme of false prophets and bad theology…. The Wolf-Defenders Are Out in Full Force After Chan Attends The Send

“These discerning ministries take what someone like Francis Chan SAID and combine it with pictures of him SAYING it, and then apply the BIBLE to it. That is why a good many of them are considered more credible than mainstream church news sites which routinely run articles about releasing angels or sneaky squid spirits. Then you compare the one with proof and the bible to the National Enquirer, right.”

(Anthony Wade – 8:28 Ministries)  Another day, another attack upon discernment ministries. We must understand that the seeker friendly industrial complex, fueled by the purpose driven cult of personality churches must protect their brand at all costs. One of their tricks is to compromise respected Gospel preachers such as Francis Chan to steal their credibility. Chan may enter into it thinking he will affect them but in the end leaven spreads like cancer…. Continue reading

Co-opting Jesus Christ for unholy purposes

Democrats have been working hard to spin their version of Jesus. Here’s just one example: Many of the party’s presidential hopefuls proclaim, without irony, that anyone who thinks marriage requires a man and a woman are un-Christian “bigots.”

(Robert Knight – The Washington Times)  At Easter, the question is often raised:  Who is Jesus?

As C.S. Lewis wrote, the Gospels leave no gray area:  Either Jesus was God Incarnate or a madman for claiming to be so.  Merely being “a good teacher” doesn’t cut it. Continue reading

Charlize Theron Abuses Her Son, Emasculates Him as Liberals Applaud

“He is biologically male. He is anatomically male. He is genetically male. He is scientifically male. He is medically male. He is…a…male, and no amount of make-believe can change that.”

(Pulpit & Pen)  Charlize Theron is an abusive mother. She is selfish and is hurting her son. Liberals are applauding the unfathomable detachment from reality, mental pain and anguish, and lasting damage that the Hollywood actress is perpetrating upon her child.

Theron, who is the 43-year-old South African actress who won fame for her part in The Cider House Rules, told the press today that her son – who was male, is male, and will always be male – is actually her daughter. Continue reading

‘Latina Mama’ Warns Pete Buttigieg: ‘Don’t Force Your Sexual Ideology on Me and My Children’

“Mr. Mayor, it is hypocritical for you to cry foul about policies that ‘harm you and your family’ while your side pushes for government intrusions into the parent-child relationship at the most fundamental levels.”

(Michael W. Chapman – CNS News)  Ana Samuel, Ph.D., a research scholar at the Witherspoon Institute and founder of the marriage movement CanaVox, warned 2020 Democratic presidential contender Pete Buttigieg that his homosexual ideology is dangerous to the nation and that she and millions of other Latina mothers with traditional family values will “be polite” towards gay activists but will also resist “policies that assault our values, harm our families, and hurt our children.” Continue reading

Rush Limbaugh Goes Full-Savage Taking On Hillary, Biden, Warren In Fox News Appearance

“You talk about irony — for Hillary Clinton to be talking about impeaching Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton needs to be investigated, she needs to be indicted, and she needs to be in jail, and many of her co-conspirators in this whole sordid affair, which amounted to nothing more than a silent coup to overturn the election results of 2016. Hillary Clinton demanding that Trump — you talk about sour grapes, this is a woman that’s been rejected by the American people twice, rejected by her party in 2008. She had to rig the primaries against Crazy Bernie in 2016 to get the nomination.”

(Amanda Prestigiacomo – Fox News)  Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh ripped into top Democrats during an appearance on Fox News’ “The Story with Martha MacCallum” Tuesday night. Namely, Limbaugh took on former Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), South Bend Mayor Peter Buttigieg, and twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Continue reading

The Self-Indulgent Self-Idolatry of the Eastern Orthodox Church

“But this isn’t the only self-indulgent aspect of the Eastern Orthodox Mass. In it, you will find an overemphasis on a placid and pacific atmosphere designed to soothe the minds and consciousness of the worshipers. It is almost like a drug-induced state with a trance-inducing dose of incense, bells, extravagant iconography, and repetitive monotonic chanting. It actually has much more in common with a seance than Christian worship.”

(Jeff Maples – Reformation Charlotte)  A few years ago, I reported on the apostasy of the Bible Answer Man, Hank Hanegraaff when he defected from the Christian faith and joined the ranks of the sybaritic self-indulgent worship of the Eastern Orthodox Church…. Continue reading

Father Gagged, Found Guilty Of ‘Family Violence’ For Calling His Trans Daughter A ‘She’

What [Judge] Marzari found particularly egregious, however, was not Clark’s private interactions with his daughter but his “continued willingness to provide interviews to the media … in which he identifies [Maxine] as female, uses a female name for [Maxine] … and expresses his opposition to the therapies [Maxine] has chosen.” According to the court, this willingness placed Maxine at “a significant risk of harm.”

(Jeremiah Keenan – The Federalist)  Last week, Justice Francesca Marzari of the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Canada, declared a father guilty of “family violence” against his 14-year-old daughter on the sole basis that he had engaged in “expressions of rejection of [her] gender identity.”… Continue reading

Charismatics, Stop Giving ‘Prophetic Insights’ Into Events AFTER They Happen

The truth is, well-trained crystal ball-reading gypsies give more accurate prophecies than Christian charismatics.

(JD Hall – Pulpit & Pen)  Charismatic ‘Christian’ leaders are thieves and liars. They steal from people their seed-faith offerings and lie about God speaking to them. When world tragedies happen without warning, it’s not time for charismatics to give their prophetic insights. It’s time for them to shut their cotton-picking mouths. Continue reading

2nd public library ‘Drag Queen’ is convicted child sex offender – and a transgender prostitute specializing in BDSM.

Children posing with drag queens during Drag Queen Story Hour

According to criminal records uncovered by Houston MassResistance activists, Dees was convicted in 2004 of sex crimes against four young children (ages 4, 5, 6, and 8), was jailed, and is listed as a “high risk sex offender.”

(MassResistance)  Last month we reported how Houston MassResistance activists exposed a Houston Public Library “Drag Queen” as a convicted child sex offender.

Now, it turns out that a second Houston Public Library Drag Queen was convicted of multiple sexual assaults against young children, according to records uncovered by Houston MassResistance activists…. Continue reading

Are We Accountable for Unchosen Sinful Desires?

So, if homosexuals aren’t born that way, and it’s not a choice, then where does that leave those who experience homosexual desires? It leaves them in exactly the same place it leaves every person on the planet. We all experience desires we don’t choose. Everyone is accountable for those desires.”

(Alan Shelmon – Stand to Reason)  The discussion about homosexual desire is too often oversimplified and seldom given appropriate nuance. For example, many people in Western culture frame the debate as, “You’re either born gay or it’s your choice.” Such an oversimplification leads to two immediate mistakes. Continue reading

Worshiping the Earth

All pagan religion, including goddess/Earth worship seeks peace and harmony with nature, thinking that this is the solution to all of humanity’s ills.  But it ignores the fact that the problem really lies in the human heart.  Trying to save the environment will not save our souls or bring about a utopia.

(Clete Hux – The Aquila Report)  “For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather then the Creator, who is blessed forever.  Amen.” (Rom. 1:22-23; 25)

It should come as no surprise to the spiritually minded that America has become increasingly pagan over the last few decades.  Political correctness, moral relativism, religious pluralism, and dissatisfaction with the Judeo-Christian worldview have helped fan the flames of this religious shift…. JD Greear, President Of The SBC, Charged Money To Attend His Good Friday Worship Service

“It is extremely sad that the President of the largest Christian congregation in the world and who pastors one of the largest churches in America would place a fee on the entrance of souls to hear the news about Good Friday.”

(Elizabeth Prata – The End Time)  Pastor JD Greear is currently serving as 62nd President of the Southern Baptist Convention. His church is called Summit Church. It is a multi-site church with 9 campuses in and around Durham, NC. Continue reading

When Should We Use the Bible?

“If we ignore or will not appeal to the Bible as our authority, we have no basis for absolute morality and can no longer authoritatively stand for what’s right and wrong. Many of the people with whom we speak reject this foundation for our worldview, but if we as Christians abandon it, we’ve lost the battle!”

(Ken Ham – Answers In Genesis)  Popular Roman Catholic blogger Matt Walsh (who we’ve covered beforerecently wrote: “I have gotten into trouble with some Christians for several of the opinions I expressed during my interview with Ben Shapiro on the Sunday Special.” He writes that during this interview he “contend[ed] that Christians should not appeal to the Bible when arguing with unbelievers about political and cultural topics.” Is he right about this? Bethel and their ‘apostolic grave-sucking culture’ still continues

“Why would Jansen be proud to receive an ‘impartation’ from William Branham, the man responsible for helping birth one of the worst doomsday cults on the planet, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of people at Jonestown?”

(Chhurcwatch Central)  ‘Grave-sucking, or ‘grave-soaking’, is a process by which someone lays on the grave of a deceased Christian in order to absorb their mantle or anointing.’ According to Apostle Bill Johnson’s wife Beni Johnson, grave-sucking is ‘what I do’. (See Photo of Beni on the site)

In other words, this occultic practice is promoted from the top down, not from the bottom up. Continue reading

Beware the ‘Bright Ones’: Bethel Church’s big-screen debut to hit theaters nationwide on April 22

“Bethel Church teaching goes way beyond historic Pentecostal and charismatic teaching by claiming that the key to acquiring those [spiritual] gifts is through receiving new, authoritative revelation given by modern-day, governing apostles and prophets, like Bethel’s Bill Johnson and Kris Vallotton. These extreme and distinctive teachings represent neither historic Christianity nor historic Pentecostal and charismatic belief.”

(Holly Pivec – Spirit of Error)  Bright Ones – a full-length feature film being marketed to families, youth and churches – will debut in more than 700 select theaters across the United States on April 22. Continue reading

White Horse Inn Supporter of ‘Hypergrace’ Barbara Duguid…whose theology will have disastrous repercussions

Dr. Michael Horton, J. Gresham Machen Professor of Theology and Apologetics at Westminster Seminary California and President and host of The White Horse Inn.

“The book was heartily endorsed by disgraced pastor and hypergracer Tullian Tchividjian, fellow hypergracer and ‘Keller protoge,’ Elyse Fitzpatrick,  “Christian” psychotherapist David Powlison, and professing Reformed professor Michael Horton.”

(Toni S. Brown) White Horse Inn has been a consistent supporter of Barbara Duguid and this month Core Christianity interviewed her once again to promote her book Extravagant Grace: God’s Glory Displayed In Our Weakness. Duguid is a popular counselor in the Christian counseling movement and a student of Dr. Tim Keller, who is admittedly her mentor and teacher.

The Duguids lived with the Kellers while her husband attended Westminster Seminary and she claims to have gained a great deal of insight from Dr. Keller, especially on law and grace, an area in which he is most dangerous. Her books are popular among women’s ministries and she regularly speaks to women’s groups all over the country. Her view of grace has been widely criticized in the last decade and rightly categorized as “hypergrace.” Continue reading

The 8 Things You Need To Know About The Mueller Report

“The Steele dossier – the intelligence mishmash funneled to Obama intelligence agencies via Fusion GPS – barely comes up in the Mueller report. Yet it was used repeatedly as the basis for a FISA warrant against Carter Page, and was presented directly to President Trump by former FBI director James Comey, then reported on broadly in the press.”

(Ben Shapiro – Daily Wire)  On Thursday, the long-awaited Mueller report finally dropped, like manna from the heavens to the starved mass media. The media quickly swiveled from their years-long contention that President Trump and his 2016 campaign colluded with Russia to the contention that Trump obstructed justice in order to cover his non-collusion with Russia. That will be the talking point moving forward: that the cover-up was worse than the non-crime. Continue reading

Ten post-Mueller questions that could turn the tables on Russia collusion investigators

“President Trump reportedly is readying an order to declassify five key buckets of documents on alleged FBI abuses. … My sources agree these 10 questions are the most important to be answered in the forthcoming probes…”

(John Solomon – The Hill)  Soon, the dust will settle from special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, and Americans will have a fuller understanding of why prosecutors concluded there wasn’t evidence to establish that Donald Trump and Russia colluded to hijack the 2016 election.

At that point, many voters exhausted by the fizzling of a two-year scandal, once billed as the next Watergate, will want to move on like a foodie from an empty-calorie shake. Continue reading

Christian kids must slay wolves in sheep’s clothing, not pet them!

(Marsha West – Christian Research Network)  Here’s a sobering fact the Church must come to grips with: Even children who are “churched” are woefully unprepared to “contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.” (Jude 1:3) This is a frontline issue, yet Church leaders and parents just don’t “get” how important it is to teach the younger generation to defend their faith.

The Apostle Paul faced this issue head on in the early church. In a letter to Timothy, he warned: “For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” (2 Tim 4:3-4) All the Apostles dealt with false teaching, Gnosticism in particular, and for this reason they wanted to insure correct doctrine was taught. James MacDonald Took Millions from Harvest & Now Demands Broadcast Ministry

“From 2014-2018, Harvest gave Walk in the Word more than $6 million worth of free television broadcast time According to Harvest’s 2016 Financial Statement, Harvest sold its property in Aurora, Illinois, to TBN for $15,600,000 in 2014. But TBN paid only $4 million of that amount in cash. The rest was given to the church in free broadcast time, which was then granted to Walk in the Word to use over eight years.”

(Julie Roys)  Harvest Bible Chapel founder, James MacDonald, told three elders in 2013 that he’d “lose 1,000 sheep” before he’d reveal his salary. That’s according to former elders—Scott Phelps, Barry Slabaugh, and Dan Marquardt—who resigned soon after hearing that comment, and months later, were publicly excommunicated. (The church has since apologized for its “harsh” discipline of the men.) Continue reading

‘Unplanned’ Movie’s Abby Johnson Says Mothers Who Have Their Babies Killed by Abortion Shouldn’t Be ‘Punished’

“Some have contended that Johnson’s views are not a pro-life position, as exempting women from any penalty would leave abortion legal for self-abortions, and would simply shift the act culturally from being committed by abortionists to those carried out at home by a child’s own mother.”

(Heather Clark – Christian News Network)  Abby Johnson, the center of the film “Unplanned,” which tells of the former Planned Parenthood director’s departure from the abortion industry, is generating questions and opposition as she has outlined on social media that she does not believe that mothers who take their unborn children to be killed by abortionists should be punished at all — a\position that some say is “pro-choice” and does not afford the unborn the same protections under the law as born children. Don’t be Shocked When Many ‘Christians’ Cheer the Criminalization of Christianity

“The number of supposedly Christian individuals whose moral compasses are calibrated to the spirit of the age rather than the authority of Scripture has become astounding.  Leaning on their own understanding, they choose the attributes of a god they want to worship, one who seems “worthy” of their worship, and they bow to it.  The God of Scripture is too narrow-minded.”

(Peter Heck – The Resurgent)  As I read the enraged responses from professing Christians at the news that Vice President Mike Pence would be the commencement speaker for Taylor University (a leading private, Christian institution located in tiny Upland, Indiana) I realized something. Continue reading
