What does it mean to walk in the Spirit?

26 Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances. Ezekiel 36:26-27 (NASB)

Undoubtedly, there is much confusion about the subject of walking in the Spirit. To some it speaks of the Charismatic movement…. Continue reading

New Evidence Indicates Enough Illegal Votes In Georgia To Tip 2020 Results

“Mark Davis, who has testified as an expert witness multiple times in disputed election cases, believes Trump might have won a challenge to the Georgia election results had a court actually heard his case.”

(Margot Cleveland – The Federalist)  New evidence indicates that more than 10,300 illegal votes were cast in Georgia in the November 2020 general election — a number that will continue to rise over the next several months, potentially exceeding the 12,670 votes that separated Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Ed Litton Is Disqualified From The Pastorate, But Is He Even A Christian?

“By mid-day on that day, Reformation Charlotte’s story hit the national radio airwaves as Todd Starnes and Robert Jeffress offered commentary and denounced Litton’s and Greear’s statements. By the end of the day, the news had lit social media on fire and others, including Pastor Gabe Hughes, had tweeted it out.”

(Jeff Maples – Reformation Charlotte)  On June 15th, the Southern Baptist Convention elected Harry Edward (Ed) Litton Jr., the lead pastor of Redemption Church in Saraland, Alabama, as the president of the nation’s largest non-Catholic denomination…. Continue reading

Buckle Up, Democrats: The Left’s Demoralizing Attacks on Conservatives May Reap the Whirlwind

Many Trump supporters “don’t know for certain whether ballots were faked in November 2020, but they know for absolute certain that the press, the FBI, etc would lie to them “if” it happened. “They watched the press behave like animals for four years. Tens of millions of people will always see Kavanaugh as a gang rapist, based on nothing, because of CNN. And CNN seems proud of that. They led a lynch mob against a high school kid. They cheered on a summer of riots.”

(Tyler O’Neil – PJ Media)  I have firmly and consistently condemned the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot from day one and I find the event extremely disturbing. However, I cannot help but notice that the Left’s response to the Capitol riot, the outrage over Marxist critical race theory in schools, the concerns about election integrity, and many other issues is only likely to exacerbate the tensions that inspired some Trump supporters to act like antifa and launch a violent attack against the very constitutional system they claim to defend. A Biblical View of Sin

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. John 1:1-5 (NASB)

Those who have a problem with the Doctrine of Original Sin and the Wrath of God against all sin attempt to paint the God of Reformation Theology as some sort of ogre full of anger with very little love manifest except in the case of a chosen few…. Continue reading

The Mean New Deal

“It’s all pretty depressing and meaningless, pardon the pun. Our media culture is flat-out nasty, blatantly sadistic, and getting worse.”

(Bill O’Reilly)  A few months ago, Disney executives held a secret meeting with members of the ABC News program “The View.” Things had become so hateful on the morning program that some Disney board members were loudly complaining.

The message delivered was “knock off the hate, ladies.”

The rise of a generation of censors: Law schools the latest battlement over free speech

Elie Mystal, who writes for ATL and is The Nation’s justice correspondent…lashed out at “white society” and how he strives to maintain a “whiteness-free” life. On MSNBC, Mystal declared, without any contradiction from the host, that “You don’t communicate to [Trump supporters], you beat them. You do not negotiate with these people, you destroy them.”

(Jonathan Turley – The Hill) Free speech on American college campuses has been in a free fall for years. From high schools through law schools, free speech has gone from being considered a right that defines our society to being dismissed as a threat…. Continue reading

Despite Opposition, Anti-white CRT Indoctrination Continues Spreading Like a Virus

Which brings us to our next CRT Hall of Shame example, Manhattan’s posh Spence School, which caters to New York City society girls. It broke a few weeks ago that Spence had shown a graduation-day video to eighth-grade students that, as parent and Hispanic tech exec Gabriela Baron put it in a scathing letter, “openly derides, humiliates and ridicules white women.”

(Selwyn Duke – The New American)  From the schoolroom to the board room to video on Zoom, Anti-whiteness 101/Divide-and-Conquer Theory (a.k.a. Critical Race Theory) has swept across America like an invading horde. In fact, despite spirited opposition from parents and others coast to coast, it continues spreading due to pseudo-elite embrace. The Death of the Episcopal Church is Near

(Ryan P. Burge – Religion in Public)  Last November, I wrote a post for Religion in Public with the title, “The Data is Clear – Episcopalians are in Trouble.” In it, I used survey data to paint a portrait of a denomination that was on the brink of collapse. One of the most troubling things about the future of the Episcopal Church is that the average member is incredibly old. The median age of an Episcopalian in 2019 was sixty-nine years old.  With life expectancy around 80, we can easily expect at least a third of the current membership of the denomination to be gone in the next fifteen or twenty years. That’s problematic when membership has already been plummeting for decades. Continue reading

To Contend For The Faith Delivered Once For All To The Saints

3 Beloved, being extremely eager to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you encouraging you to contend for the faith delivered once for all to the saints. Jude 1:3 (translated from the NA28 Greek text)

Currently there is a very large scandal concerning the new SBC President. It appears that he has plagiarized many sermons from J.D. Greear whom he replaced as President. However, as investigators dug into this the “muck” became even uglier…. Continue reading

Timothy Keller: Evolutionist?

“Keller accepted the theories of science, which he elevated to the primary foundation for the development of his truth claims re: creation and evolution. Dr. Keller seeks to force Biblical interpretation to conform to “settled science.” He failed to accept the Bible as the one, true foundation upon which to build all other beliefs and values.”

“Oh what a tangled web we weave, When first we practice to deceive!” (1)

Poor Eve. She never knew what hit her. It all sounded so right. The serpent asked a simple question: “Did God say…?” Continue reading

Churches burned to the ground in Canada in ‘anti-church hate crime wave’

In a tweet on July 3, British Columbia Civil Liberties Association executive director Harsha Walia tweeted, “burn it all down,” referencing the churches.

(Joshua Comins – Fox News) At least 20 churches in Canada have been burned or vandalized, and Rebel News founder Ezra Levant questioned Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s response to the mounting crime spree Wednesday on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.” Continue reading

There’s a New Twist in Tucker Carlson’s NSA Spying Claims

“It is not in any way a figment of my imagination—it’s confirmed, it’s true. They’re not allowed to spy on American citizens. They are. I think more ominously, they’re using the information they gather to put leverage and threaten opposition journalists who criticize the Biden administration. It’s happening to me right now and I think it’s shocking and I don’t think we should put up with it in a free country.”

(Matt Margolis – PJ Media)  Last month, Tucker Carlson claimed that two whistleblowers in the National Security Agency (NSA) told him the spy agency has been reading his text messages regarding a story on the January 6 Capitol riot.,,, Continue reading

We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ

1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:1-2 (NASB)

My dear brethren in Christ, I have been doing so much research and posting lately about the absolute wickedness that is overtaking the visible church in our time that I came to believe that it was time for a bit of encouragement…. Continue reading

Be Safe: Don’t Visit Your Dying Parent. Don’t Leave Your House. Don’t Get Married. Don’t …

“For two generations now, safety has increasingly deprived Americans of joys as well as freedoms. Children, in particular, have been so coddled that American children of the last two generations have probably had far less joy and far more fear than children of any previous American generation….”

(Dennis Prager)  As many observers have noted, staying safe has become a religion. “Safetyism,” as it is sometimes called, like all religions, places what it values — in this case, being safe — above other values. Safetyism explains the willingness of Americans to give up their most cherished values — including liberty — in the name of safety for the last year and a half. Continue reading

Theology Learned in the Flames of Adversity

Luther maintained that theology is not learned only in the safety of a lecture hall, but in the flames of adversity. In fiery trials, one is humbled and broken. It is then that a leader is made most teachable. In difficult times, the illuminating work of the Holy Spirit often shines brightest. Broken hearts make for receptive minds.”

(Steven Lawson – Ligonier Ministries)  In 1527, Martin Luther experienced a trial so severe that church historian Philip Schaff described that year simply as “the disastrous year.” It was the time of Luther’s “severest spiritual and physical trials.” As the leading figure of the Reformation, Luther paid a high price in the struggle for truth, and his physical condition deteriorated under the movement’s mounting demands…. Bethel Church Does Damage Control over ‘Grave Sucking’- Fails Miserably

Jeff Jensen of Bethel Church “grave sucking”

“Talk about spin and playing down what was actually said.”

(Protestia) As Bill Johnson and the apologists of Bethel Church continue to directly confront controversies in YouTube Web series titled “Rediscover Bethel,” courtesy of in-depth Q&A that addresses some of their beliefs and distinctive, they come to the question of “grave soaking” and whether or not this is a normative practice for the biblically illiterate Bethelites.

In the linked clip the Dean of the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, Dann Farrelly, explains that he’s been with Bethel and Johnson for 25 years, and that “we never taught uh this experience that I see described on the web that’s grave sucking. Never taught it, never done it.” Continue reading

The New Religion and the Need for Resolution

I have been attempting for last several years to get a handle on the slippery fish of Woke-ism, CRT, Intersectionality, and Social Justice and how those in Christian circles who have “adhered” to those things seemed to be “outside” of Orthodox Christianity. Oh, for a long time they looked and acted like they were Orthodox, but then as CRT became a force in our secular culture these people “changed.”… Continue reading

Wikipedia has become a one-sided ‘thought police’ for liberals, cofounder warns

(John Solomon – Just The News) Larry Sanger, the co-founder of Wikipedia, is warning that the online encyclopedia has become too one-sided and overloaded with liberal sources in a way that harms democracy.

“In short, and with few exceptions, only globalist, progressive mainstream sources — and sources friendly to globalist progressivism — are permitted,” Sanger wrote on his website in an article last week headlined “Wikipedia is more one-sided than ever.” Continue reading

Confused Joe Biden Takes out Notes to Answer Question on Russia

(Robert Kraychik – Breitbart)  President Joe Biden took notes out of his jacket when asked about “the most recent hack by the Russians” during an ostensibly unscripted visit to a farmer’s market on Saturday in Central Lake, MI.

A woman, unseen in video of the moment, asked the president, “With the most recent hack by the Russians, would you say that this means that…?”

Biden interrupted the woman before she could complete her question. Continue reading

A Clear Message from the 48th General Assembly of the PCA

“In the weeks and months ahead you will no doubt be hearing a lot of criticisms of Overtures 23 and 37. Indeed, the vitriol displayed on social media by the critics of the overtures has been swift and furious. It’s understandable. Those who opposed 23 and 37, while making up a clear minority in the PCA, are passionate in their opposition.”

(Todd Pruitt – Reformation 21)  The 48th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America was held in St. Louis last week (June 29-July 1) and so far, the dust has not yet settled…. Continue reading

Called As Saints

1 Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, called as an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, 2 which He promised beforehand through His prophets in the holy Scriptures, 3 concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh, 4 who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord… Romans 1:1-7 (NASB) Read verses 5-7 on the site.

As I have mentioned many times on this blog, I grew up going to church. The churches our family attended as I grew up were all SBC churches. None of them would qualify as “liberal.” Some people might say that they leaned somewhat toward “fundamentalism.”…. Continue reading

JD Greear Admits to Purchasing Sermon Material to Make Himself ‘Look Good’

“[The] pastors who use this service don’t actually spend time exegeting the text and letting the text shape their own theology–rather, they have presuppositions to the text, and this research group will prepare sermons for them based on their own doctrinal beliefs…”

(Reformation Charlotte) In the midst of the exposure of the largest Evangelical plagiarism scandal in modern times, it has become increasingly clear that the vast majority of the leadership in the Evangelical world are frauds…. Continue reading
