Beth Moore, John MacArthur, And Clobbering Girls In Football

“But what is worse are all the cowardly men around her who have flattered her and refused to actually love her in the truth. Pastor MacArthur said out loud in public what her husband and Christian brothers closest to her should have been saying for years, “Go home.” And yes, this is Christian love because love is treating others lawfully from the heart, and God’s law is clear at this point.”

(Toby Sumpter – Having Two Legs)  So amid all the other circus events, this last weekend, Christian Twitter erupted with shrieks of horror when Pastor John MacArthur told a conference audience that his thoughts on Beth Moore could be best summarized as “Go home.” Continue reading

Shaq Blasts China: ‘We’re Going To Say Whatever We Want To Say, When We Want To Say It’

“Daryl Morey was right. Whenever you see something going on wrong anywhere in the world, you should have the right to say that’s not right, and that’s what he did.”

(Ryan Saavedra – Daily Wire)  Former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal slammed China on Tuesday while discussing the NBA’s controversial stance to cower to the Communist Party of China (CPC) by censoring criticisms around the league directed at China’s human rights abuses and clamp down on freedom. Let Me Explain That Laughter at Beth Moore Real Quick

“People laughed because they rejoiced at hearing truth. They also applauded and ‘amened.’ Joy is the natural reaction to truth-telling among truth-loving people.”

(Pulpit & Pen)  When Dr. MacArthur told Beth Moore to “Go home” and stop preaching over the weekend, the audience laughed. Some people were infuriated not by the comment itself, but by the laughter of the audience.

Here is one example of a well-meaning fellow who took exception with the laughter and found it confusing. Continue reading

Critical Race Theory and Biblical Truth

104 From Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way. Psalms 119:104 (NASB)

For several years after my wife and I left our old church in 2006  because it went Purpose Driven we were no longer part of any Southern Baptist Church. We still attended church, but where we lived at that time (Johnson County, Kansas) the Church options were very limited. In any case, in the last couple of years we were there we were part of a wonderful church in Prairie Village, Kansas pastored by Rick Holland. It was like having John MacArthur preach every Sunday. Of course, Pastor Rick came from Dr. MacArthur’s staff at Grace Community Church. Being part of that church and having a pastor like Rick was one of the hardest things to leave when we relocated to OKC in December 2012. Continue reading

Paula White’s new book ‘Something Greater’ is revealing, disturbing and depressing

As previously reported, endorsements for Prosperity Pastrix Paula White’s book came from pastors Franklin Graham, Robert Jeffress, Greg Laurie, Jack Graham and others in the Evangelical Industrial Complex such as Jerry Fallwell Jr. and Ralph Reed. When the evangelical community got wind of this, a flood of protests were tweeted out which caused some of the above mentioned to quickly delete their Twitter endorsements of the book. However, one of President Trump’s spiritual advisers, Robert Jeffress, actually defended his endorsement. It is deeply troubling to find out that our highly regarded evangelical leaders are sorely lacking in spiritual discernment. Anyone who takes a few minutes to  research Paula White will discover that her mentor is none other than prominent Word of Faith heretic, T.D. Jakes (here).

So with this background in place, David Robertson of Christian Today has a review of Something Greater. He writes:

Paula White has a new book out. In case you don’t know who she is, she is a televangelist, prosperity preacher and President Trump’s self-styled spiritual adviser; she is also no stranger to controversy. Continue reading

Disney sacrificing children’s innocence again

“Cole contends that Disney is more concerned about pushing a liberal agenda rather than just focusing on providing family-friendly content.”

(Bull Bumpas – OneNewsNow)  A parents’ watchdog group finds it “completely unnecessary” that Disney has chosen to proudly inject the issue of homosexuality into an animated series for children.

As reported by Yahoo.com, a Disney spokesperson has confirmed that two characters in the animated series Star Wars Resistance – shop operators Orka and Flix (pictured) – are “gay.” That report quotes executive producer Justin Ridge saying: “I think it’s safe to say they’re an item. They’re absolutely a gay couple and we’re proud of that.” Continue reading

Jury Rules Against Texas Dad Fighting 7-Year-Old Son’s Gender Transition

“Every. Single. Day. You have to see your son sexually abused, and you have to maintain your calm because the courts are not going to be fair to you. And the only way you can survive this and get your son through this alive is to calmly allow your son to be tortured right before your eyes and outlast the opposition. That’s what it’s like.”

(Amanda Prestigiacomo – Daily Wire)  On Monday, a jury ruled against a Texas father, Jeffrey Younger, attempting to stop his seven-year-old son from a gender transition being facilitated by Dr. Anne Georgulas, the boy’s mother and Younger’s ex-wife. Continue reading

A Little Leaven Leavens the Whole Lump

1 The Pharisees and Sadducees came up, and testing Jesus, they asked Him to show them a sign from heaven. 2 But He replied to them, “ When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’ 3 And in the morning, ‘There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times? 4 An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and a sign will not be given it, except the sign of Jonah.” And He left them and went away.  Matthew 16:1-12 (NASB) (Read verses 5-12 on the site)

The Church in our time did not descend suddenly into the level of apostasy we see all around us now. No, it actually began many generations ago when Christian leaders who compromised God’s Truth were tolerated or not dealt with through Church discipline as instructed in God’s Word…. Large Southern Baptist Church Leaves Denomination Over Its Support of Beth Moore

Mentioned in his sermon is SBC support for Beth Moore, their leadership’s attacks on John MacArthur, the passage of Resolution 9 (promoting Critical Race Theory), SBC leaders promoting Paula White, and it’s generalized liberalizing and its promotion of Social Justice.”

(Pulpit & Pen)  Another Southern Baptist Church has left the SBC over what many are calling a complete undoing of the Conservative Resurgence. Pastor Jeff Noblit of the booming Grace Life Church of the Shoals (Muscle Shoals, AL) mentioned a number of problematic issues with their denomination but said that the denomination’s support for Beth Moore’s ministry was “the straw that broke the camel’s back. Witch hunt: Occult Trump opponents plan Halloween spell to bind him

A week before Halloween, opponents of President Trump will gather in the thousands to cast a spell on the administration to prevent the administration from harming the country.

(Jeffrey Cimmino – Washington Times)  Participants in the ritual, which has been performed regularly since Trump’s inauguration, are taking particular encouragement from Democrats’ recent launch of an impeachment inquiry, which they see as a sign their efforts are working. Continue reading

False Religion

16 Then Samuel said to Saul, “Wait, and let me tell you what the Lord said to me last night.” And he said to him, “Speak!” 17 Samuel said, “Is it not true, though you were little in your own eyes, you were made the head of the tribes of Israel? And the Lord anointed you king over Israel, 18 and the Lord sent you on a mission, and said, ‘Go and utterly destroy the sinners, the Amalekites, and fight against them until they are exterminated.’ 1 Samuel 15:16-20 (NASB) (Read verses 19-20 on the site.)

The Reformers and Puritans would not recognize as genuine most of what we call Christianity today. Of course one of the main thrusts of the Protestant Reformation was to make the Word of God accessible to all people. Why?…. Continue reading

The Word of God makes us clean

3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. John 15:3 (NASB)

All people are born dead in their trespasses and sins. (Ephesians 2:1; Colossians 2:13) This condition of spiritual death also means that each person, though desperate for fulfillment that can only be satisfied in God, cannot come to God, know God, or even seek Him. Because of this, they pursue fulfillment from everything around them. The number one method of doing this is via the flesh. The flesh is all about self and self-gratification. The problem with this is that nothing works for very long, including religiosity. Continue reading

Charles Stanley Said ‘God Told Me Which Thanksgiving Turkey to Buy’

Stop telling people that God told you to do something or that God laid something on your heart that isn’t in Scripture — there simply is no way to validate or verify and you run the risk of blaspheming when you do.

Charles Stanley, the slightly more theologically conservative father of Andy Stanley, the rank heretic, told a television audience that God spoke directly to him telling him which turkey he needed to buy. Continue reading

Trump Adviser, Paula White, Says it’s God’s Command to Support Jim Bakker

Donald Trump & Paula White. Photo credit: Christian Today

“Is there no end to these hucksters and their repeated money-grabbing? Gullible saints and deluded folks that are in the “Get Rich Quick” approach to religion are taking big risks. They are urged to write checks in the thousands and hundreds of thousands to get a return on their investment. But, unlike venture capitalists that have done their homework and know a good deal when they evaluate it, these greedy givers are the ones being taken.”

(Theodore Zachariades – Pulpit & Pen)  Jim Bakker recently enlisted Trump’s “spiritual adviser”, Paula White, to help him collect the money of gullible believers so he can build a greater venue for spreading his message. The tactic he used was ingenious. Continue reading

Second Willow Creek Campus Pastor Resigns

“I’ve longed for and encouraged Willow to pursue a different path toward healing. But due to a difference of opinion on what that path should be, I believe I must depart.”

(Julie Roys)  Willow Creek Crystal Lake‘s Lead Pastor Marcus Bieschke today announced he’s resigning his position with the church, saying his “heart and values are not in full alignment” with the church’s current direction. Bieschke is the second campus pastor to resign from one of Willow Creek Community Church’s eight Chicago-area campuses this year. Just three months ago, Reece Whitehead resigned as lead pastor from Willow Creek Wheaton.

How Sinful Is Man?

For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. Romans 3:22-25

Imagine a circle that represents the character of mankind. Now imagine that if someone sins, a spot—a moral blemish of sorts—appears in the circle, marring the character of man…. Continue reading

ANTIFA Radicals Support LGBT Exploitation of Kids in Child Drag Show

“The extreme left works in tandem to mainstream pedophilia while committing acts of domestic terrorism on the streets. Western Civilization will not survive unless this agenda is soundly defeated. Church Militant published a report on how ANTIFA’s domestic terror agenda intersects with the LGBT’s aggressive recruitment agenda…”

(Jim Kouri – News With Views)   Despite the Deep State/Democratic Party’s lip service regarding child welfare and protection, they are quick to abandon their rhetoric on protecting children from bodily and mental abuse by members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual and Queer Community. William Barr’s right about left’s designs on religious freedom

“These people are not only anti-religion, but they also are anti-science, anti-history and anti-liberty. Alexander Hamilton would weep if he knew the power these people now hold in his beloved republic.”

[Charles Hurt – The Washington Times] As the Caribbean saying goes, “I chucked a rock in the pen and a pig squealed.”

This explains all the frenzied squealing and indignant grunting we heard in response to the speech Attorney General William Barr gave last week to law students at the University of Notre Dame about the increasing hostility toward religious liberty in America. Continue reading

Jeffress Defends Endorsement of Paula White’s Book, But Admits He Hasn’t Read it ‘Word for Word’ or Researched Her Theology

UPDATE

When I asked Jeffress if he’s sure that White’s theology is orthodox, and that she is not a proponent of the prosperity gospel, Jeffress said, “All I can say is she claims not to be.”

(Julie Roys)  Prominent Southern Baptist Preacher, Robert Jeffress, is defending his decision to endorse a book by controversial preacher, Paula White, saying her book does not promote “prosperity gospel.”…. Continue reading

Why are so many believers looking for more?

“Sarah Young of Jesus Calling regularly hears whispers and voices from the other side, so much so she filled a book with His exact words, allegedly. Or two. Or three. If she is hearing from Jesus and writing His words down in quotes, she is writing scripture. Do you believe Jesus Calling is scripture?”

(Elizabeth Prata – The End Time) Sufficiency of scripture is an important topic for me as a woman, because so many of the books aimed at women loading the shelves at Christian bookstores, and so many women’s ministries telling us we should be hearing from God or are touting some author’s experience from having heard from God. Death in Adam Life in Christ

12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned— 13 for until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. Romans 5:12-14 (NASB)

Those professing Christians who for one reason or another believe they should attack the doctrines of grace usually begin with arguments against the Doctrine of Original Sin…. Continue reading

Conservative Baptist Leaders Remove Tweets Endorsing Paula White’s Book

UPDATE

“Both Greg Laurie and Franklin Graham have removed their tweets endorsing White’s book.  I reached out to everyone except Laurie for comment. … Graham’s press person responded that he is not available for comment. Jeffress called me today and I will be posting his response on Thursday. The others have not yet responded.”

(Pulpit & Pen)  After widespread outrage for tweeting endorsements for Paula White’s new book, a number of prominent conservative Christian leaders deleted their tweets. Continue reading

James MacDonald Makes First Public Appearance at Men’s Retreat for Chicago-based Megachurch

On Sunday, my husband, Neal, attended New Life Covenant’s 10 a.m. service … After the service, Neal approached Marrero and engaged him in conversation. However, Neal said that when he identified himself and inquired about James MacDonald speaking at the retreat, Marrero’s eyes got wide and he made a cut motion with his hand across his throat, saying, “I’m not answering any questions about James MacDonald.”

(Julie Roys)  Disgraced former celebrity pastor, James MacDonald, this weekend made his first public appearance since being fired from Harvest Bible Chapel for engaging in conduct “harmful to the best interests of the church.” MacDonald reportedly taught at a men’s retreat for New Life Covenant Church, a Chicago-based megachurch that boasts a weekly, global attendance of 17,000. Using Children as Political Props

Trotting out children, the younger, the better, to make political points—does that strike you as creepy? Or honest? “If I go up there and bloviate about lunch shaming, they’ll all just laugh at me. But they wouldn’t dare laugh at a kid! They’ll have to sit there and take it from a kid! Heh-heh.”

(Lee Duigon – News With Views)  Suddenly we have a lot of adults getting their marching orders from children. Is that shameful, or what? World leaders sit in deferential silence as they’re scolded by a Swedish teenager for not “Doing Something” to “Stop Climate Change”—like, “how dare you” not set up a global government and… and… and… Well, as long as they “Take Action,” the kind of action doesn’t matter.
