When the Desire to be Accepted Sets in

“In Christ, there is nothing that we could ever do for our Father to disown us. The acceptance that we receive from the Creator and Sustainer of the universe should overshadow the acceptance that we try to achieve from other people whose opinion does not truly matter….”

(Justin Myko Agpangan – By Grace Alone) We long to be accepted. Sadly, we look for acceptance in the wrong places. Usually, we look for acceptance from our families, our workmates, and our friends…. Continue reading

20,000 unsubstantiated ballots in GA’s 2020 original results from tabulators that do not exist…

“No wonder the Secretary of State’s office didn’t release their investigation’s findings to the public. It’s all bogus.”

(Revolver) Atlanta is now rivaling Chicago in the crooked politicians and election-cheating game. What unfolded in the Peach State during the 2020 election was downright shameful. If we were a serious country, genuinely concerned about our Republic, it would have been rigorously investigated by bipartisan officials from top to bottom. Of course, that never happened. Instead, we were told to shut up, stop being “election deniers,” and cease spreading “conspiracy theories,” even though the election resembled a third-world circus…. Continue reading

Push to Promote Transgender Ideology is Backfiring

“Seven years ago, just over half of those surveyed said sex is determined at birth. Now, that number is nearly two-thirds. After all the White House proclamations, all the media talk, all the change in language to “gender neutral” pronouns — after it all, the number of Americans rejecting the foundation of transgenderism has increased.”

(Byron York – Front Page) President Joe Biden has done more to promote transgender ideology than any president, ever. A scroll through the White House archives shows statement after statement, proclamation after proclamation, speech after speech, in which the president praises what he calls the “extraordinary courage and contributions” of transgender Americans. Why we need the story of David and Goliath

“Why are we so afraid? Like the men of Israel, why are we fleeing from the fight? The Lord does not promise that we will win every battle, but he does promise that we will win the war. The end has already been determined: a small shepherd boy understood this, and so should we.”

(Luke Pierson – The Sentinel)  We all know the story of David and Goliath. Even unbelievers know the story. How many times have you heard of a matchup in professional sports labeled as a “David versus Goliath” contest? Continue reading

ISIS Terrorists Crossed Our Southern Border. Rand Paul and Lindsey Graham Are Demanding Answers.

“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) recently arrested multiple individuals with suspected ties to ISIS on immigration violations in various cities across the country, including New York, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles, following their entry into the United States through the southwest land border.”

(Katie Pavlich – Townhall) Republican Senators Rand Paul and Lindsey Graham are demanding additional information from Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas after a number of ISIS terrorists illegally crossed the U.S. southern border with Mexico and were arrested in a number of major cities last week…. As a Woman, I Deeply Resent Being Put at Risk From the Democrats’ Imported Monster

When Democrats purposely engineer a surge of migrants to overwhelm the border, it becomes impossible to screen everyone properly. They know that criminals, thieves, terrorists, lunatics, and assorted monsters are coming into the country along with the merely opportunistic, and they don’t care. It’s unconscionable and reprehensible. In a sane country, they would be thrown out of power for at least a generation.”

(Athena Thorne – PJ Media) Yes, women have always been at risk from men. In general, when a woman is murdered, it’s a romantic partner to blame. But the Democrats’ imported monsters have been responsible for nightmare scenarios as well: snatching random women who are going about their business off the street, dragging them out of sight, and brutalizing and killing them. The plot twist occurs at the end of Season 4, Episode 3, when a Roman official, Quintus, grows irate at his inability to capture Jesus in a large crowd and begins swinging a sword. In his anger, Quintus stabs Ramah, the fiancée of the apostle Thomas in the series. Quintus the fleas the scene. Continue reading

Megachurch Pastor Robert Morris of Gateway Church Responds to Accusations of Child Sexual Abuse

“According to Cindy, she was not a “young lady” but rather a CHILD, and the alleged child sexual abuse lasted 4.5 years. This is a not just an instantly and eternally disqualifying sin, but this is a CRIME, and cursed is anyone who helped cover it up.”

(Protestia) Robert Morris is the senior pastor of Gateway Church, the largest church in America, which has more than 100,000 people spread across several campuses. He has been accused of years-long child sexual abuse with a twelve year old girl, according to an article from Wartburg Watch, which has spoken to the alleged victim. Continue reading

Timidity and boldness

7 For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7 (LSB)

I remember a preacher who filled in for our Pastor one Sunday for some reason. I was about 15 or so at the time. He was an older gentleman with a big booming voice and a head full of white hair. He was so different from our preacher that I actually listened to what he said. I believe that the person from the Bible he was talking about was Isaac. I remember him commenting on the fact that he was timid or shy or fearful. In my mind I thought of that person as shy or bashful by the way he described him…. Continue reading

Lia Thomas loses attempt to challenge worldwide swimming rules

“An increasingly large share of Americans believe that self-described transgender athletes should not be permitted to compete in sports leagues opposite to their actual sex.”

(Jordan Elliott – The Sentinel) Lia Thomas, a male who claims to be a woman, lost his attempt to challenge rules from World Aquatics banning self-described transgender athletes from competing against the opposite sex.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport remarked in their decision that the controversial former University of Pennsylvania swimmer lacks standing to challenge the World Aquatics policy on transgenderism, which prohibits male swimmers from competing against females. Continue reading

PCA Denomination Votes To Investigate Sarah Young’s Terrible Book ‘Jesus Calling’

“In a widely shared book review by Tim Challies, he explains most of the major problems with this book, with these two being the most prominent: “1. She speaks for GodFar and away the most troubling aspect of the book is its very premise—that Sarah Young hears from Jesus and then dutifully brings his messages to her readers. Jesus Calling makes the boldest, gutsiest, and, to my mind, most arrogant claim of any book ever to be considered Christian….

(Protestia) This is welcome news! Published in 2004 by the now-deceased Sarah Young, a member of the PCA, Jesus Calling has 45 million copies in print. It is one of the most recognizable devotional books in recent history…. Continue reading

A Warning to All Professing Christians

6 But the righteousness of faith says, ‘Do not say in your heart , ‘Who will ascend into heaven?'” (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 or “‘Who will descend into the abyss?'” (that is, to bring Christ Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith, which we preach); 9 because if you confess Jesus as Lord with your mouth and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness and with the mouth one confesses resulting in salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Everyone believing on him will not be put to shame.” (Romans 10:6-11 translated from the NA28 Greek text to English)

The Truth War is an ugly thing. Those attempting to dismantle Biblical truth and reform it to their own philosophies use tactics that could best be termed as deceitful. They accuse without any substance to their attacks. Their entire focus seems to be to muddy the waters and cast doubt using verbiage designed to discourage the warriors of the truth while confusing everyone else…. Continue reading

They Never Saw It Coming

How could such things be? What? You mean people don’t want unchecked Muslim immigration into Europe? Say it ain’t so, Joe! They don’t want their countries’ sovereignty chipped away by a lot of socialist wackos in the World Economic Forum—who despise the plebs and call them “useless eaters”?…

(Lee Duigan – News With Views) Leftists like to present themselves to us as The Smartest Persons In The World. We’re just a lot of racist hicks—no wonder they run rings around us. Continue reading

Number Of Children Who Died After COVID Shots Much Higher Than VAERS Reports Indicate

The Defender reviewed a sample of the “unknown age” child death reports in VAERS. “I have a dead 6 years old in my arms; Vaccine doesn’t work.”

(Michael Nevradakis – Connecticut Centinel) Fetal deaths and miscarriages, sudden cardiac arrest, sudden death and suicides — these are some of the causes of death listed in reports submitted to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) on children who received a COVID-19 vaccine. Don’t Believe the Fake News: Southern Baptists Did NOT Vote to Allow Women Pastors

“These belligerent churches are free to employ female pastors, but they are not considered to be in fellowship with the SBC if they don’t follow the rules, simple as that.”

(Paula Bolyard – PJ Media) The headlines from the left-wing secular media were gleeful and celebratory:

Southern Baptist ban on women pastors fails in historic vote — The Tennesean

Southern Baptist Convention allowing women pastors after vote — KACO

Southern Baptists Fail to Pass Measure Banning Churches Banning Churches With Women Pastors — WSJ

Southern Baptists narrowly reject formal ban on churches with any women pastors — CNN

On and on it went with a parade of disinformation (don’t expect all those ubiquitous fact-checkers to call out the error). Continue reading

Thou art weighed in the balances and art found wanting

I posted this a year ago, but this morning during my devotional time, I read it again from my Morning by Morning devotional from Spurgeon and then handed it to my oldest Grandson to read. He is a believer. He is 15, very smart, and very athletic. After he read it I asked him if he understood about what it meant to be weighed in the balances and found wanting. He did understand it. It is such a blessing to be able to talk about spiritual and Christian maturity things with my grandson. Continue reading

Pride Decried

(Larry Sand – American Greatness) As the Library of Congress notes, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Month is celebrated each year in the month of June.

An entire month?! Our mothers, fathers, and soldiers only get a day. And then there is the “pride” angle. I’m not sure who you have intimate relations with should be a source of pride any more than your height, weight, or shoe size should be…. Continue reading

Weird Alert! Bethel Pastor Invites Church to Perform ‘Prophetic Act’ and ‘Wallow’ Like A Pig

(Protestia) Chuck Parry is the Director of Healing Ministries at Bethel Church in Redding, California, and one of the primary teacher of the schools. According to his bio, his life is “marked by both faith and the miraculous” and he’s “seen the dead raised, food multiplied, storms move out of the way, the supply of heaven released through supernatural finances, and countless people healed and their lives transformed.”

Readers of Protestia will recognize him as overseeing Bethel Church’s healing schools which spent nearly two years shut down during COVID. Continue reading

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh

16 But I say, walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. Galatians 5:16 (LSB)

What is Spiritual Formation and Contemplative Spirituality? Are these just another term for Christian spiritual growth or “the way or method” that God has designed for His people to grow spiritually? Or are they totally different from what the Word of God teaches us? A clear-headed and Biblically-based study of Spiritual Formation and Contemplative Spirituality will actually reveal that they are being introduced into the visible church via deception…. There Are No Civilians in Gaza. Hamas are the civilians

“The latest Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research poll shows that 71% of Gazans support the Hamas atrocities of Oct 7 and 56% expect Hamas to win the war. 62% in Gaza are happy with the performance of Hamas during the war and 59% want Hamas to stay in power.”

(Daniel Greenfield – Front Page) Americans expected Osama bin Laden to be found in a cave in Afghanistan. In reality, he was living comfortably in a military town in Pakistan under the protection of local authorities. Similarly, Israeli hostages, including the four who were last rescued, have come home telling stories of being kept captive in ‘civilian’ households. Continue reading

BREAKING: Verdict Reached in Hunter Biden Trial

(Matt Margolis – PJ Media) Hunter Biden was found guilty on three felony charges for illegally buying and possessing a gun while addicted to crack cocaine. Federal law expressly makes it illegal for individuals using illicit drugs to possess firearms. He could face 25 years in prison and fines for the conviction.

The quickness of the jury’s return had most experts predicting a guilty verdict.

The outcome of this trial was hard to predict. Unlike the New York case against Trump, the evidence against Hunter Biden was substantial and incontrovertible…. Continue reading

US Fake News Misrepresents the IDF Hostage Rescue

“The NY Times presented the horror from the Palestinian viewpoint. It was “unimaginable.” Somehow, the fact that Hamas used them as human shields never came up. WaPo talked about the “wall of fire,” and CNN regurgitated the Times article.”

(Mary Dowling) Israel’s IDF rescued four hostages from Hamas control. They were kept in civilian residences. An IDF soldier and dozens of Gazans died during the rescue attempt because Hamas used their people as human shields. That is what happened. Continue reading

Genuine Christianity and Repentance with Joy

1 Therefore, I urge you brothers through the compassions of God to present your bodies as living, holy sacrifices, well pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service. 2 And do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may discern the will of God, that which is good and well pleasing and perfect. (Romans 12:1-2 translated from the NA28 Greek text to English)

Deception is our enemy’s most powerful weapon. When a person is deceived into believing a lie they are not intending to participate in something that is wrong…. Continue reading

Tony Evans ceases pastoral ministry ‘due to sin,’ enters ‘time of spiritual recovery and healing’

(Baptist Press) In a statement  posted on the Oak Cliff Bible Church website, church leaders have announced that Senior Pastor Tony Evans has stepped away from his staff role at the church due to falling “short of the high standards of [S]cripture.” Leaders say the “difficult decision” was made with tremendous prayer and after multiple meetings with Evans and church elders.

“The elder board is obligated to govern the church in accordance with the [S]criptures,” said a statement on the church’s website. “Dr. Evans and the elders agree that when any elder or pastor falls short of the high standards of scripture, the elders are responsible for providing accountability and maintaining integrity in the church.” Continue reading
