Three Kinds of Death

1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. 3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. Ephesians 2:1-3 (NASB)

The fallen nature of man does not understand death. Depending on culture, some fight to stay alive with their all. The correct understanding of death comes to us from God’s Word…. Continue reading

SCOTUS decision redefining sexuality will wreak havoc on society

“Codifying into anti-discrimination law the concept that a man who says he is a woman must be treated according to his mental illness is not something we can live with as a society. Gorsuch might want to dismiss the earth-shattering ramifications of his opinion, but he knows well that there are already pending lawsuits to demand that men be treated as women, in very dangerous or disruptive ways that go well beyond trying to use the boot of government to stamp out mean or discriminatory behavior.”

(Daniel Horowitz – Conservative Review)  When Anthony Kennedy discovered a right to force states to redefine marriage in the 2015 Obergefell case, he promised that religious liberty would remain untouched…. Continue reading

The Coronavirus Mask Charade Continues

“Mask-wearing is not benign, either.  (1) Masked faces feel hostile because you can see no relaxation or smile in the person you’re facing.  (2) People feel disconnected, and a national survey shows that depression and suicidal thoughts are way up.  (3) Public misbehavior is amplified when actors are anonymous — riots, anyone?”

(John G. Maguire – American Thinker) When he announced on May 1 that masks would be  worn in public places, Massachusetts governor Charlie Baker was emphatic.

Black Professor to Mark Levin: No Pattern of Epidemic Racism Among Police

“Reilly cites two databases of police shootings, one kept by the Washington Post, and one at KilledByPolice.net. He noted that the WaPo database listed a total of nine unarmed black men killed by police in all of 2019. The total number of all people of all races killed by police was 56. He then cited a 2016 Harvard study that concluded that African-Americans were 24.2% less likely to be shot by police than whites were.”

(Jeff Reynolds – PJ Media)  On this week’s episode of Life, Liberty, and Levin, Dr. Wilfred Reilly pushed back on the concept of systemic racism. Reilly told Mark Levin that many of the examples cited by activists have huge variables other than race to explain why they happen…. Continue reading

You Can Be A Christian, You Can Be A Marxist, But You Can’t Be Both

“All this isn’t to say we shouldn’t try to better our conditions on this side of heaven. But this world is never meant to be anything approaching paradise. Courting that goal brings disaster. The millions killed at the hands of Marxist totalitarian dictatorships are all the evidence one should need.”

(Joshua Lawson – The Federalist)  It’s unclear how many Christians are going along with the current neo-Marxist collective guilt movement out of fear, a misunderstanding of what they’ve signed onto, or an authentic conversion to the cause…. Continue reading

The Sword

34 Do not think that I cam to bring peace on the earth. I have not come to bring peace but a sword. Matthew 10:34 (translated from the NA28 Greek text)

The peace that Christians have because they are in Christ is between them and God and because of that, with each other. However, that does not mean that there will be peace between them and those not in Christ. In fact, these words of our Lord in Matthew 10:34-38 make it clear that those truly in Christ will be so changed by the Gospel, the presence of the Holy Spirit in them, and their new nature that there will be inevitable separation between them and those who are not in Christ. This holds true even within families…. Continue reading

More leftist ‘code words’ infiltrating a drifting denomination

I can say unequivocally that the messaging and the posturing and the PC pandering of J.D. Greear doesn’t represent the viewpoints and convictions of the majority of Southern Baptist clergy or laity.”

(OneNewsNow) Southern Baptist Convention president J.D. Greear is calling on all members of the denomination to declare that “Black Lives Matter.” Some of his fellow Baptists, however, are questioning his motivation for making such a request. Continue reading

Leaving the PCA….the darkness of our world has taken hold of it

I could cite many other issues of concern but the crowning blow has been the issue of homosexuality in the PCA. Over the past two years, perhaps you have followed the controversy with the Revoice Conference in St. Louis and the many overtures at our General Assembly to address the issue of what many are calling “Side B” homosexuality… The PCA has failed to discipline a PCA Teaching Elder who has publicly called himself “gay”… So the PCA now has at least one pastor who professes to be a homosexual.

(Al Baker – The Aquila Report)  My wife and I became members of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) in 1976 when we had the privilege of working on the staff of First Presbyterian Church, Macon, Georgia under the great preacher and pastor James Baird…. Continue reading

The Plumbline

7 Thus He showed me, and behold, the Lord was standing by a vertical wall with a plumb line in His hand. Amos 7:7 (NASB)

In John Bunyan’s classic The Pilgrim’s Progress, the characters’ names usually define their character. For instance there is Ignorance. He refuses to believe Christian and Hopeful when they tell him that unless he goes through the narrow gate to begin his pilgrimage, he will not be allowed into the gate of the Celestial City…. Decided Ungodliness

3 O Lord, do not Your eyes look for truth? You have smitten them, But they did not weaken; You have consumed them, But they refused to take correction. They have made their faces harder than rock; They have refused to repent. Jeremiah 5:3 (NASB)

Obstinate refusal to bow the knee to the Lordship of Christ is not always apparent or observable in professing Christians…. Continue reading

Concern growing over The Passion Translation

Reader,  this is the same strategy the enemy has always used: To take people away from the true Word of God, or to keep them from it. It is no exaggeration to state that between The Message  “Bible” and The Passion Translation, the enemy has made great inroads into the visible church.

(John Lanagan – The Word Like Fire)  Thousands have read The Passion Translation author: We are the reincarnation of Jesus Christ, and this is currently the most viewed article on The Word Like Fire…. Continue reading

When the Church Parsonage Looks Like a Mansion

“Through legislation Congress established the clergy housing allowance in 1921. The original goal was to assist small churches in providing financially for their ministers. Churches unable to provide a full-time salary, could often provide a place for the minister to live. The clergy housing allowance was amended in 1954 to allow clergy to set aside part of their compensation as a housing allowance and it would be exempt from the federal income tax.”

(Barry Bowen – Trinity Foundation)  Televangelist Kenneth Copeland lives northwest of Fort Worth, Texas, near the shore of Eagle Mountain Lake in a “church parsonage” that can easily be described as a mansion or palace. The extravagant home fits Copeland’s theology as he teaches his church and TV audiences “to live like a king.” Continue reading

#IStandWithTuckerCarlson: Conservatives Rally to Fox Host’s Defense

“This may be a lot of things, this moment we are living through,” said Carlson on Monday. “But it is definitely not about black lives and remember that when they come for you, and at this rate, they will.”

(Breitbart) “#IStandWithTuckerCarlson” trended on Twitter today as conservatives rallied to Carlson’s defense after a coordinated attack on the Fox Host’s advertisers by the woke leftist mob. Continue reading

New Video Exposes the Armed Antifa ‘Militia’ Who Want to Abolish the Police

“The revelation of antifa’s armed “militia” should terrify Americans — but it also reaffirms conservative opposition to gun control. The Redneck Revolt is correct in its suspicions that restrictions on gun ownership trace back to a desire to prevent black Americans from being able to defend themselves. It seems ironic that so many leftists who insist police are racist seem opposed to the idea of black people arming themselves for defense against them…”

(Tyler O’Neil – PJ Media) On Tuesday, Project Veritas released the third of its antifa video exposes. This undercover video exposes the armed branch of antifa who want to abolish the police and identify as the leftist movement’s “militia.” Continue reading

Changed by Christ

“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (v. 4). – Romans 6:3-4

Romans 6:3 begins in a most curious (and significant) way: “Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?”… Continue reading

RefuseFascism uses ANTIFA-like tactics, Organizer Claims they Received Money from Soros, Met with Steyer Advisor

(Project Veritas) RefuseFascism Organizer: “…you’ll see, there’s people even in the Hillary campaign worked with RefuseFascism because they see the danger.”

    • Head of the Atlanta Chapter of RefuseFascism, Tee Stern: “We Actually Did Get a Grant from Them (Soros) Around – We Started a Thing Called a National Day of Appreciation for Abortion Providers.”
    • National Organizer for RefuseFascism, Andy Zee: “…I Believe He (Steyer) Has Political Ambitions, and He Might Not Want to Be Directly Connected.”

Wokism’s Cult Following

“Cults arise in societies that have lost their way and stumble in the darkness toward any glimmer of sunshine. “When a man stops believing in God he doesn’t then believe in nothing, he believes anything,” Chesterton is paraphrased as saying. “Si Dieu n’existait pas, il faudrait l’inventer,” Voltaire said. Translation: If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent Him. It’s curious but nevertheless true that people too sophisticated to believe in the teachings of Jesus or Moses have no trouble believing in Xenu or Gaia.”

(Richard Fernandez – PJ Media) When statues are toppled it’s because the topplers are making room for their own monuments. Every revolution is driven not only by the desire to tear down but also to replace the old world with the new…. Continue reading

New Movement: ‘All Black Lives Matter’…Including Unborn Babies

“In fact, the abortion rate for black women is 36%, almost five times that for white women. Abortion is the number one killer of black lives in the United States.  According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, abortion kills more black people than HIV, homicide, diabetes, accident, cancer, and heart disease combined.”

As the Black Lives Matter dominates the streets of America, an alternative grassroots movement is rising up in response, calling for an end to the greatest killer of black people in America: abortion. Continue reading

I’m The Rapid Response Social Worker Who Replaced The Police

(David Marcus – The Federalist)  I’m not gonna lie, this isn’t exactly what I expected — lying here in the hospital. I mean, it’s only a few broken bones, a punctured lung, and some stitches to the head, but I almost feel betrayed. Three weeks ago when I took the five-hour online course to become an unarmed rapid response social worker, I thought I was helping mankind. After all, with the police abolished, somebody had to be there to mitigate when people had inevitable disagreements. Continue reading

Deception Begins With Unbelief

53 When Jesus had finished these parables, He departed from there. 54 He came to His hometown and began teaching them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers? 55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary, and His brothers, James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? Matthew 13:53-58 (NASB) Read verses 56-58 on the site.

As we continue to look at the evidence of God sending out a strong delusion upon professing Christians who appear to be running headlong into apostasy in ever increasing numbers let us look at what it is in these people that has brought this about…. Continue reading

Evangelical Pastor in Rome Says Christians Must ‘Gently Challenge’ Roman Catholicism With the Word of God

“Many Catholics believe and behave like most Western secular people do: without any sense of God being real and true in their lives. In other words, they are not born again, regenerated Christians.”

(Heather Clark – Christian News)  An evangelical pastor in Rome says that Christians must “gently challenge” Roman Catholicism with the word of God rather than blindly uniting with the Vatican, as “the Reformation is not over [and] the gospel is still at stake.” Continue reading

Barr says big Democrat fish may be hooked in Durham probe

(Lifezette)  In an interview with Fox News that aired on Tuesday, U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr hinted that very big Democrat names, though not the biggest, could be mentioned in the probe by Connecticut U.S. Attorney John Durham focusing on 2016 Obama regime actions relating to the Trump campaign. Barr said that the DOJ was “looking at” figures who were familiar to the public, though not at the level of Joe Biden or Barack Obama.

The AG told Fox, “I think before the election, I think we’re concerned about the motive force behind the very aggressive investigation that was launched into the Trump campaign without, you know, with a very thin, slender reed as a basis for it…. Continue reading

The Left’s Normalization Of Collective Guilt Is Ripping America Apart

“Americans want to stand with those peacefully protesting injustice. But the radical Left offers either the choice of self-condemnation for evils Americans had no hand in, or to be silent and stay that way. If the second option is chosen, that very silence is viewed as an indictment of “complicity” often seen by the Left as akin to violence itself. Ultimately, that’s no choice at all.”

(Joshua Lawson – The Federalist)  I was nowhere near the intersection of Chicago Avenue and 38th Street when George Floyd tragically lost his life. I wasn’t in Minnesota. I was more than 500 miles away. With the exception of the officers at that heartbreaking scene, there are more than 329 million additional Americans who had no part in that terrible evening.
