COVID-19 Isn’t As Deadly As We Think

“On the Diamond Princess, six deaths have occurred among the passengers, constituting a case fatality rate of 0.85 percent. Unlike the data from China and elsewhere, where sorting out why a patient died is extremely difficult, we can assume that these are excess fatalities—they wouldn’t have occurred but for SARS-CoV-2. The most important insight is that all six fatalities occurred in patients who are more than 70 years old. Not a single Diamond Princess patient under age 70 has died. If the numbers from reports out of China had held, the expected number of deaths in those under 70 should have been around four.”

(Jeremy Samuel Faust – Slate)  There are many compelling reasons to conclude that SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, is not nearly as deadly as is currently feared. But COVID-19 panic has set in nonetheless. You can’t find hand sanitizer in stores, and N95 face masks are being sold online for exorbitant prices, never mind that neither is the best way to protect against the virus (yes, just wash your hands)…. Wherefore By Their Fruits Ye Shall Know Them

15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. (Matthew 7:15-23 KJV) (Read verses 20-23 on the site)

This post was born from a discussion I had today with someone on Facebook about how to tell a genuine Christian from someone who is false. This is an important consideration because many of us lived marginal Christian lives for long periods of time. These horrid times away from the center of God’s will were torturous for some while others seemed not affected at all…. Continue reading

Steven Furtick Denies Orthodox View of Trinity, Embraces Modalism Heresy

Modalism is a heretical belief that rejects the orthodox view of the holy Trinity. For those who are unclear about this, you need to know that a belief in the Trinity is an essential of Christianity. It is one of the non-negotiables. Those who deny the existence of the Trinity or reject the settled orthodox view set forth in Scripture are not true Christians. With this background in mind, Jeff Maples of Reformation Charlotte has a video of Steven Furtick that makes it crystal clear that he does not have an orthodox view of the Trinity. Maples writes:

Steven Furtick is a heretic, undoubtedly. He preaches a false prosperity gospel and bilks his congregation for money…. Continue reading

Shepherds Dancing With Wolves

Paul admonished Timothy to protect the faith.

To manipulate and distort that truth, or to mix it with error, is to invite God’s eternal wrath. That’s why Paul told the Galatians, “If any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!” (Galatians 1:9).

(John MacArthur – Grace To You)  Any literal shepherd tasked with feeding and leading a flock of lambs would be thought deranged if he regarded wolves as potential pets to be domesticated and amalgamated into the fold. Suppose he actively sought and tried to befriend young wolves, presuming he could teach them to mingle with his sheep—insisting against all wise counsel that his experiment might succeed, and if it does, that the wolves will acquire the sheep’s gentleness and the sheep will learn beneficial things from the wolves…. ‘Proud Jew’ Bernie Sanders Calls Anti-Semite Ilhan Omar ‘One of the Greatest People I Know’

“In a recent debate, Sanders said he would consider moving the U.S. Embassy from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv. He also said that he would consider diverting military aid away from Israel and directing it to the Palestinians.”

( – BreakingIsraelNews)  Bernie Sanders, the Vermont Senator and frontrunner for the Democrat candidacy to run for president in 2020, spoke at a campaign rally in Springfield, Virginia on Saturday, the Jewish sabbath. Patch reported that thousands of Sanders supporters attended the rally. Contend Earnestly For the Faith

3 Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints. 4 For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. Jude 1:3-4 (NASB)

The Epistle of Jude is generally attributed to the half-brother of our Lord Jesus Christ. In v3 we learn that his original intent was to write an epistle on salvation to his recipients. However, he was compelled to write a call to battle for the truth instead. Why?… Continue reading

Polyamory and the Overton Window

“We need to recognize right up front that the defining feature of polyamory is not “deep relationships, care for others, hospitality, and community.” The defining feature is the desire to have romantic/sexual relationships with multiple people that you are not married to. If you remove that part—the part that is sinful—we aren’t talking about polyamory anymore. But it’s precisely that desire for sexually immoral relationships that Christians must ruthlessly put to death in the name of Jesus. That’s why telling Christians, “Hey, there something good in polyamory, don’t go too hard on it,” is pastorally disastrous.”

(Denny Burk)  If you had asked me ten years ago whether evangelicals would ever give up ground on the issue of homosexuality, I would have said “no way!” Sure, the evangelical movement has always had its “progressive wing.” And yes, even the term “evangelical” has always been notoriously difficult to define…. In most recent teaching, Beth Moore declares Catholicism ‘a denomination’

“Be it known that Roman Catholicism is not another denomination of the faith. It is not akin to Baptists, as Moore stated. It is a false religion more akin to Islam or Wicca than anything God has anything to do with. I beg you ladies, with all I have in me, not to follow Beth Moore or absorb any of her teachings or read anything she has written or listen to anything she has to say. Her lengthy time of rebellion against God and His word has only served to harden her into a person who brings heresy and corruption in the true faith.”

(Elizabeth Prata – The End Time)  A dear sister sent me information related to a new ‘teaching’ series Beth Moore has begun, called, “Developing Compassion for the Sexually Abused – Part 1“. Apparently there are three parts to the series…. Continue reading

More States and Parents Jump on Ban Bandwagon to Ban This Grotesque Treatment

“Bills recommending bans on this child butchery are now filed in South Carolina,  Florida, Missouri, Ohio, Illinois, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Kentucky,  Alabama and Georgia (just introduced). Many are named the “Vulnerable Child Protection Act.” A bill in Colorado was introduced but killed by the Democrats there. The bill in Idaho is being held up by a Republican committee chair.”

(Linda Harvey – Mission: America)  The vote was unanimous. As the chairman’s gavel came down sharply, he declared, “The bill is passed!” And the crowds in the gallery erupted in applause and cheers. The bill was a no-brainer, banning any medical treatment for anorexia/bulemia that affirmed the delusion of obesity in a normal weight individual…. Christ came to fulfill the Law

4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.  5 For Moses writes that the man who practices the righteousness which is based on law shall live by that righteousness. 6 But the righteousness based on faith speaks as follows: “DO not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down), 7 or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).” Romans 10:4-9 (NASB) Read verses 8-9 on the site.

I grew up as a Southern Baptist in Oklahoma. Even before I was saved in 1986 I had heard from teachers and preachers that Christians are under a dispensation of Grace while Old Testament believers were under a dispensation of the Law…. Continue reading

Abortion doctor admits sold baby parts often came from babies born alive

In her presentation, Goldberg suggested using large doses of misoprostol so a second-trimester induced abortion procedure could be completed in one day. According to Smith, large doses of that drug would trigger “tumultuous labor” and suggested the baby is often delivered so quickly, it needs no “assistance from the abortion doctor, no instrumentation,” or in another words appears to “fall out” of the mother and is born alive. Smith also testified that “very few people in abortion, outside of Planned Parenthood, do that.”

(Washington Examiner – Nichole Russell) Published September, 2019 — In an unprecedented hearing in California this week featuring Planned Parenthood executives and the undercover videos made by the Center for Medical Progress, abortion doctors revealed uncomfortable truths about the industry…. Jen Hatmaker Says She Questioned Evangelical Faith Because Gay People Couldn’t Have Sex With Each Other

“Hatmaker’s problem isn’t with Evangelicalism, it’s with God and His Word. It literally can’t be any clearer that a practicing homosexual is outside of the bounds of true conversion.”

(Jeff Maples – Reformation Charlotte)  Jen Hatmaker has been on a path to destruction for a long time. Hatmaker first came out of the closet of homosexual affirmation during an interview with Jonathan Merritt, son of former Southern Baptist president, James Merritt. Subsequently, the SBC book store Lifeway pulled her materials from their shelves. Continue reading

Trans pronouns: Christian hospitality does not affirm insanity

“Those who know the stories of the healing of Christ know he would never consider it “hospitable” to encourage the insane and the mentally tormented to remain in the state to which they themselves and others consigned them; nor would he encourage their Christian neighbors to speak the language of the deluded.”

(Fay Foshell – Voices)  Hospitality is a Christian virtue, and all who follow Christ are urged to covet that virtue, for we are told it is possible that in exercising hospitality, we are entertaining angels unaware.  Christians are also called to lovingly proclaim the gospel of salvation to all, irrespective of persons. Is Albert Mohler Doubting Himself?

While Mohler is regarded as a towering figure in the “Conservative Resurgence ” in the SBC  led by Paige Patterson and other imposing men of the pulpit, Mohler has enjoyed haunting the hallowed halls of academia and has VERY LITTLE pastoral experience. Mohler followed in the wake of the leaders of the Conservative Resurgence which was defined by a singular focus upon the issue of “inerrancy of the Bible. The Mohler ascent to the Presidency of the denomination’s flagship Seminary SBTS came in 1993 after a short 3 year stint writing /editing at Georgia’s State Baptist Newspaper “The Christian Index.” BUT prior to his position at Georgia Index, Mohler was FAR FROM a CONSERVATIVE.

(Thomas Littleton) Part 1 – Since October 2019 Albert Mohler, president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS) in Louisville KY has been making Baptist news as the presumed new/next front runner to replace current controversial SBC President J.D. Greear…. Continue reading

Christ’s Sacrifice Once for All

10 For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law, to perform them.” 11 Now that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, “ The righteous man shall live by faith.” Galatians 3:10-11 (NASB)

As has been clearly shown, the easy-believism “gospel” as well as any version of it that either calls for more works (i.e. piety) on the part of the believer over and above believing the Gospel and receiving Christ as Lord and Saviour or suggests that the saving work of Christ on the Cross was not “sufficient enough” to cover the sins of those He came to save, therefore they must somehow achieve perfection on their own or enter into some form of purgatory after death to make up for that, are perversions of what is clearly taught in God’s Word…. Yea Hath God Said?

3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. 5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? 6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.  2 Thessalonians 2:3-12 (NASB)  (Read verses 8-12 on the site.)

Sola Scriptura is under heavy attack in the visible Church. Some of those who are leading this battle against it are already predicting victory. The central theme of Phyllis Tickle’s book The Great Emergence is, “Where is our authority?”… Continue reading

Does Dr. Michael Brown’s conclusion confirm he has seen and agrees with the evidence Church Watch Central provided?

Proof! Watch the video over at CWC.

…editors at CWC started collecting as much information about ‘Christalignment’ as possible, before Jenny Hodge started tampering or removing evidence that could be used against her. By the time she pulled down (or hid) a damning video of her staff engaging in stone/crystal practices in harmony with their tarot card practices, CWC downloaded and published it in an article back in 2017 titled, Bethel’s house of cards; tarot-rists leading people to Baal/Jezebel by practicing occultism in God’s name‘. In our article, CWC demonstrated that Christalignment are using agate, a New Age stone/crystal that…

(Churchwatch Central)  As reported in previous articles, Dr. Michael Brown recently had Jenny Hodge from ‘Christalignment’ on his program, ‘Line Of Fire’, discussing her use of ‘christian tarot cards’. Unfortunately the interview backfired spectacularly not just for Jenny Hodge but for Dr. Brown’s reputation as well. Continue reading

SBC Professor Claims ‘Revoice’ Founders Have ‘Traditional, Biblical Sexual Ethic’

Karen Swallow Prior

For a refresher, this Revoice founder wondered allowed if Jesus was gay. This Revoice founder says his brain is “part-female” and that just wrote in Christianity Today that polyamory provides an “attractive alternative” and should be “affirmed” in the church. These Revoice founders had a rainbow and Taylor Swift-themed party to paint their toenails.

(Pulpit & Pen)  Basically, the entire orthodox evangelical world has repudiated the now-infamous Revoice Conference for holding to a rainbow-splattered unbiblical sexual ethic…. Continue reading

‘Why Do I Still Hate Myself?’ Scottish Woman Realizes Gender ‘Transition’ Didn’t Take Away Her Problems

“[W]hen the novelty of that wore off, I thought, ‘Why do I still hate myself? Why do I still have all these issues?’” Watson recalled. “And at that point, it was like, ‘Am I going to keep going? Am I going to get the hysterectomy, am I going to get the phalloplasty, and I’m still going to feel this way, or am I going to have to address the other problems that I have?’”

A woman in Scotland recently told the BBC that obtaining hormones and surgery to physically appear as a man did not eliminate her problems, and when she began advising mental health professionals of her regret, they offered little help. Continue reading

Hong Kong pets face coronavirus quarantine after dog tests positive

“There is no evidence domestic animals such as dogs and cats can catch the virus or transmit it to humans but the department said all pets of infected people should be quarantined and tested for the virus for 14 days.”

(AFP)  All pets of people in Hong Kong infected with the coronavirus will be quarantined, with one dog already in isolation, the city’s authorities said Friday.

The move is the first reported case anywhere in the world of a government quarantining pets over the outbreak and was prompted by a positive test in the pet of an infected patient. Continue reading

The Problem of Forgiveness

And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” And they cast lots to divide his garments. Luke 23:34

Forgiveness is a problem for many people due to their misunderstanding of what forgiveness involves and confusion about what forgiveness really is. Part of the issue is that sometimes we are unable to distinguish between forgiveness and feeling forgiven. Sometimes our feelings can get out of sync with the reality of forgiveness.

Once a man came to talk to me about feeling greatly distressed because of his guilt. He said that he had committed a particular sin and had prayed and prayed about it but hadn’t received any relief…. Continue reading

Gaia Goes to Church: The Revival of an Ancient Pagan Goddess

“Lovelock’s new Gaia [Guy-uh], now dressed in the fashionable garb of scientific formulation, seeks to again have us believe that our planet Earth is a living creature—as the ancient Greeks believed. It is no longer just a mass of rock, water and air providing a home for billions of individual forms of life. Instead, the planet and all life upon it are to be understood as a single, interconnected whole: a living, breathing, and thinking organism.”

(Sarah Leslie – Herescope)  A new morality is forming based on an old spirituality. Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders described the environmental crisis as a “moral imperative” during a Democrat Party presidential debate. The recent Amazon Synod of Bishops of the Roman Catholic Church invoked Pachamama, a “Mother Earth” goddess, as Pope Francis considers adding a new sin, an “ecological sin.” Continue reading

Lauren “I Don’t Know if Homosexuality is a Sin” Daigle Dominates Christian Music Charts in 2019

“The reason these groups — including Lauren Daigle — topped the “Christian” music charts in 2019 isn’t that this music is actually Christian, it’s that it is pleasing to the world. When you fill music with sound doctrine and God-honoring reverent lyrics, it simply isn’t going to get the votes.”

(Jeff Maples – Reformation Charlotte)  When the world is what you act like, then the world is what you will get…. Continue reading

The Gospel Is The Power Of God For Salvation Conforming the Hearts of Believers To Christ

The operative pattern for the Christian is to understand that corruption still exists but that we are now united to Christ. We have died with Christ and risen again in new life. The flesh still operates and entices us but we need to be on-guard and hate it. We need to be killing it. It is ever with us. The world, the flesh, and the devil. These are the enemies of God.

(PCA Ruling Elder – The Aquila Report)  I forgot to share this a couple of weeks ago but the Nate Collins tweet reminded me of this podcast episode. https://www.premierchristianradio.com/…/Unbelievable-God-Ga…

IT’s a “Side A” vs “Side B” debate. What is consistent between them both is their status as “gay people”. Continue reading
