The Wrath Of A Righteous God

“God’s wrath stored up for believers is not a trumpet call for God to blisteringly wage war against them (as He does against the wicked) but a clarion call for our repentance, an invitation to return to the paths of righteousness, as echoed in Revelation 3:19.”

(Kendall Lankford) When attempting to know God, believers are sometimes confronted with attributes and aspects of His character that challenge our finite minds. If it were up to us, we would get to know God by the traits and qualities we enjoy most, such as His grace, mercy, and love. But what about when we are confronted with other attributes wholly central to understanding who He is that chafe a bit more against the soul? What are we to think then? Today, I would like to discuss an aspect of God’s character that many, including weak-kneed preachers, totally avoid. That is His perfect, all-consuming, and righteous fury. Continue reading

‘Credible Sources’ Say Michelle Obama Will Replace Joe Biden

“Bill O’Reilly has said it’s “almost inconceivable” that Democrats would nominate President Biden because of his dementia. He further said that former First Lady Obama was the only one among Democrats who could beat former President Donald Trump.”

(Mary Dowling) New York gossip columnist Cindy Adams broke the story that there is a plan afoot to replace Joe Biden with Michelle Obama in 2024.

According to her sources, her husband, Barack, is helping make this happen. Continue reading

Border Personality Disorder

“It is obvious that President Biden does not care about the destruction he has caused. He’s been to the border once. He put Kamala in charge. She’s been to the border once. When was the last time Mr. Biden addressed the crisis in any meaningful way?”

(Bill O’Reilly) Anderson Cooper is extremely concerned, and so is Donald Trump. There’s a new border security bill being formulated in Congress, and the former President is skeptical.

Anderson dismisses Mr. Trump’s concerns as “political,” saying on CNN that conservative dissenters don’t want to solve the massive chaos at the border so they can use the issue against President Biden, who is seeking reelection. Continue reading

Wait In Patience On The Lord: Meeting God In The Stillness

(Stephen Altrogge – The Blazing Center) It is not easy to wait in patience on the Lord. We want what we want right now, with no delay.

But in the Bible, it’s clear that waiting with patience is an essential part of the Christian life. As we wait, we learn to trust in God’s timing and perfect plan for our lives. In this guide, we will explore what it means to wait on the Lord with patience and how we can meet Him in the stillness of waiting.

What Does It Mean To Wait In Patience?

To wait in patience means to trust in God’s timing and plan, even when it seems like nothing is happening or going according to our own plans. It requires surrendering control and relying on God’s wisdom and sovereignty. Continue reading

Anne Voskamp To Be Speaker at Upcoming TGC Conference

“We last wrote about Voskamp after she claimed the cross symbolizes ‘hospitality’ because Jesus has ‘his arms open wide’”

(Protestia) In a few months, The Gospel Coalition is putting on their TGCW24 conference and will include speakers such as Jen Wilkin, Kristie Anyabwile, Rachel Gilson, Rebecca McLaughlin, David Platt, and Anne Voskamp, the latter of which, if you think about it, really is a perfect fit. We last wrote about Voskamp after she claimed the cross symbolizes ‘hospitality’ because Jesus has ‘his arms open wide’ Ann Voskamp is perhaps best known for romanticizing her relationship with God in her book One Thousand Gifts….

Voskamp’s messages about intimacy with Jesus frequently leave one squirming with discomfort, and her mystical descriptions of her encounters with the Lord come across as some spiritual sexytime with Jesus…Some of her quotes include: View article →

Christian Authenticity – A Living Sacrifice

1 Therefore I exhort you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a sacrifice—living, holy, and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may approve what the will of God is, that which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:1-2 (LSB)

Works righteousness is the default religion of man. However, God’s ways are not man’s ways. Neither are His thoughts man’s thoughts. His ways are higher than man’s. The Natural Man believes that the way to be justified by God is to do good works or not be as bad as those really evil people. However, Romans 1-11 makes it clear that no one is righteous or innocent. All have sinned. All are guilty…. Continue reading

The Meaning of Non-Binary Sexuality

“The days ahead will be tough, but Jesus, our Lord, is in control and “he will win the battle,” as Martin Luther wrote in his great hymn so many years ago. As the author of Psalm 121:2-3 stated: “He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber nor sleep. My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth.”

(Peter Jones – truthXchange) There is much confusion in our day regarding sexuality, both in the church and in the culture. Father James Martin, SJ, one of the attenders at the official Synod on Synodality (the meeting of all Catholic leaders now taking place over several years), affirms publicly that “we cannot deny the reality of same-sex relationships as integral to the meaning of the church as the People of God…Both heterosexual and homosexual people embody the truth of their dignity as imago Dei in their sexuality.”… Continue reading

Looks like we’re witnessing the epic end of Justin Trudeau…

“Today marks the day the freedom-loving truckers and their supporters got their due, and Justin Trudeau got his too. The courts have ruled that what Justin and his ragtag communist crew did to those innocent patriots was straight-up illegal.”

(Revolver) Remember the Canadian Trucker fiasco of 2022, famously dubbed The Freedom Convoy? Canadian truckers made waves when they united against Justin Trudeau’s tyrannical vaccine mandates and travel restrictions. It was an incredible grassroots movement, powered by the people, and truly a remarkable sight to witness. Continue reading

Barack Obama Is Telling Joe Biden to Quit the 2024 Race

“I would say there are plenty of reasons to believe this report. Will Biden listen?”

(Matt Margolis – PJ Media) Earlier this month, we learned that Barack Obama advised Joe Biden on how to beef up his reelection campaign. Now, he appears to have given up all hope for Biden’s struggling campaign.

The former president and other allies of Biden’s have advised him “to quit the 2024 race to save America and the Democratic Party,” according to a report from RadarOnline. Continue reading

Ten Reasons Why a Christian Should Never Attend a Homosexual ‘Wedding’

(The Dissenter) In today’s Evangelical landscape, a seismic shift is unfolding, notably influenced by movements like Revoice and Living Out that have influenced Evangelical churches and advocate for a more inclusive approach within the church toward aberrant sexualities. Revoice, which emerged within Presbyterian (PCA) and Southern Baptist circles, promotes a perspective on “same-sex attraction” that is intertwined with contemporary pop psychology and personal experience rather than Scripture. The source of Christian assurance is God Himself

17 Then Yahweh said to Moses, “I will also do this thing of which you have spoken; for you have found favor in My sight, and I have known you by name.” 18 Then Moses said, “I pray You, show me Your glory!” 19 And He said, “I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of Yahweh before you; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will show compassion on whom I will show compassion.” Exodus 33:17-23 (LSB) Read verses 20-23 on the site.

The passage above takes place after Israel’s idolatry with the golden calf (Exodus 32). Moses is seeking assurance from God that He would not utterly destroy Israel but would go with the people and remain with them to continue to make them a set apart people from other nations (Exodus 33:12-16)…. Side B Theology Exposed: The Push For More Homosexual Pastors

“The Revoice organization is working behind the scenes in more ways than it appears…”

(Ray Fava – Evangelical Dark Web) Side B Theology is one of the most pressing compromises in Evangelicalism today. It asserts that homosexual desires and identity are not sinful, in a partial affirmation of homosexuality and transgenderism. Logically, this could be carried over to pedophilia. A few weeks ago, Evangelical Dark Web reported on Preston Sprinkle hosting a conference on Preston Sprinkle wanting more churches to have homosexual leaders. Evangelical Dark Web infiltrated the webinar and the findings are quite interesting. Alistair Begg Doubles Down on LGBTQ Wedding Remarks, Gets the Boot From American Family Radio

“We are grateful that AFR has done the right thing, and we agree with them that the goal is always reconciliation, but reconciliation in the truth.”

(The Dissenter) Last week, The Dissenter reported that Alistair Begg, a prominent pastor associated with The Gospel Coalition, urged Christians to not only attend [a transgender] wedding, but to also buy them a gift—a position that starkly contradicts the biblical view of marriage as a sacred union exclusively between a man and a woman. This alarming advice from Begg, a respected figure in evangelical circles including the late R.C. Sproul’s Ligonier ministry, represents a growing trend of Evangelical leaders to abandon sound Christian doctrine in favor of man-pleasing cultural orthodoxy. It is a glaring example of the moral compromise seeping into the church under the guise of progressive tolerance. Continue reading

The Lukewarm Church

30 “But as for you, son of man, the sons of your people who talk about you by the walls and in the doorways of the houses, speak to one another, each to his brother, saying, ‘Come now and hear what the word is which comes forth from Yahweh.’ 31 They come to you as people come and sit before you as My people and hear your words, but they do not do them, for they do the lustful desires expressed by their mouth, and their heart goes after their greedy gain. 32 Behold, you are to them like a lustful song by one who has a beautiful voice and plays well on an instrument; for they hear your words but they do not do them. Ezekiel 33:30-32 (LSB)

In the book of Revelation, chapters 2 and 3 contain the seven letters Christ dictated to John to be sent to seven churches that existed in John’s time in Asia Minor. I have heard several sermons and read some exposits of these chapters that were geared towards these seven churches each representing one of the seven church ages…. Continue reading

Hollywood Spent Years Appeasing Communist China, Now No American Movies Crack 2023 Top Ten Gross List

“The Chinese government propaganda newspaper Global Times recently predicted a “total collapse of the box office” for Hollywood in the near future as a result of its movies’ “repetitive” plots and “dated” American values.”

(David Ng – Breitbart) Hollywood’s losing streak in China continued in 2023, with no American movies cracking the country’s top ten list of the highest grossing titles of the year.

The pitiful results come despite Disney CEO Bob Iger’s aggressive efforts to get Beijing to approve more Hollywood titles for domestic release…. Continue reading

ERLC Author Claims He’s Immune to the Influence of Porn-Filled Movies, Claims They Motivate Him to ‘Spread the Gospel’

“Despite being a prominent figure at The Gospel Coalition, McCracken’s annual “Best Movies” lists are often filled with content that blatantly contradicts biblical teachings on sexuality and reverence for God. His writings, rather than steering Christians towards edifying content, plunge them into a world of salacious, risqué, and even blasphemous material under the guise of cultural engagement and artistic appreciation.”

(The Dissenter) Blogs like ours here at The Dissenter have spent countless hours exposing the grim reality behind institutions like the ERLC and The Gospel Coalition. These entities, who masquerade as paragons of Christian virtue, have been unmasked as nothing more than carnal institutions, dangerously straying from the path of righteousness. Continue reading

The relationship between being poor in spirit and attaining personal holiness

3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3 (LSB)

One the most disturbing aspects of the churches who practice Christianity “lite” is the nearly total abandonment of a call for personal holiness. Even more discouraging is the fact that they preach a version of the gospel that has had any mention of repentance severed from it. The reasoning behind this, of course, is that they are building bridges to the unchurched. If they preach the whole gospel they will drive them away not draw them to join their churches. The problem with that sort of reasoning is that it is all pragmatism…. Continue reading

AG Ken Paxton reveals exactly how Dems stole 2020 election, and it’s so much simpler than you realize…

Watch Tucker’s interview.

“It wasn’t some elaborate “Ocean’s 11” scheme; it was rather straightforward. In fact, if we rewind to the 2018 midterms and recall how the Dems initially introduced “ballot harvesting” and managed to “win” in all those red districts, also in the wee hours of the night, ultimately taking control of the House, one can’t help but wonder if that was a “dry run” for 2020.”

(Revolver) Who can forget Election Night 2020? Some of you went to sleep, thinking Trump was the sure winner, and woke up to discover Joe Biden was the bumbler in chief. So, how did it happen? There are many theories, from hacking election machines to China being in control, but most people are overthinking it, and that’s perfectly okay with Dems; Continue reading

What’s the State of Global Religious Freedom in 2024?

(Chris Queen – PJ Media) Every day on the calendar has those “special days” — commemorations or observations of one thing or another. Most of them are silly, like International Sweatpants Day (Jan. 21) and National Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day (Jan. 22), but some have actual significance.

Last week, one of those days probably passed most of us by. Every Jan. 16 has been National Religious Freedom Day since 1993, but that probably didn’t cross the minds of many Americans…. Continue reading

The Biden-Obama Plan to Destroy Israel

“Hamas has made it clear they want a one-state solution, and will not rest until every Jew and Israel are gone. Whenever a terrorist kills Israelis, their family gets paid for life by the Palestinian Authority.”

(Mary Dowling) Joe Biden and Barack Obama, Biden’s close advisor, are pushing the two-state solution. They want to pander to the Islamist voting base. As Hamas/Palestinians make it clear that they exist to destroy Israel and Jews, the administration, mostly staffed by Obama-era advisors, wants to give them the West Bank in addition to Gaza. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it

14 You are My friends if you do what I command you. 15 No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would abide, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. 17 This I command you, that you love one another. 18 “If the world hates you, know that it has hated Me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you. John 15:14-19 (LSB)

A deep study of the book of Acts reveals many interesting things about the spread of Christianity as the Apostles obediently made disciples wherever they went. This spread was always accompanied by persecution…. Continue reading

2024—America’s Year of Living Dangerously

All our enemies are right now calculating how best to use their gift of the next 12 months from a non-compos-mentis president and his neo-socialist team that either believes the U.S. is at fault for much of the world’s pathologies or is too terrified to do anything about them.”

(Victor Davis Hanson – American Greatness) Lame-duck presidencies, especially in the last six months of their final term, in general can offer opportunities for America’s enemies to take advantage of a perceived vacuum as one government transitions to the next.

But these normal changeover months are especially dangerous when a perceived weak or appeasing lame-duck president is likely to be replaced by a strong deterrent successor that will likely serve as a corrective to his disastrous policies. Continue reading

Discernment and Christian Maturity

12 Not that I have already received or have been completed, I press on that, if possible, to apprehend it because Christ Jesus has apprehended me. (Philippians 3:12 translated from the NA28 Greek text)

12 Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus Philippians 3:12 (LSB)

Biblical scholars consider Philippians 3:12 to be a very challenging verse. Here is a word-for-word translation, “Not that already I received or already I have been completed, I pursue but if also I might apprehend on which also I was apprehended by Christ Jesus.” What is Paul talking about? Have Peace In the Midst of Tribulation and Take Heart

25 “These things I have spoken to you in figures of speech; an hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures of speech, but will tell you openly of the Father. 26 On that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I will request of the Father on your behalf; 27 for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came forth from the Father. 28 I came forth from the Father and have come into the world; I am leaving the world again and going to the Father.” 29 His disciples *said, “Behold, now You are speaking openly and are not using a figure of speech. 30 Now we know that You know all things, and have no need for anyone to question You; by this we believe that You came from God.” 31 Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe? 32 Behold, an hour is coming, and has already come, for you to be scattered, each to his own home, and to leave Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. 33 These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:25-33 (LSB)

I love talking with dedicated believers who are relatively new in their faith as we discuss the pressures that they are dealing with in this life that, in many cases, their plastic, “seeker-sensitive” or “emergent” form of religiosity has in no way prepared them for. Yes we are all in process and no, none of us have become so mature that we never struggle with the fires of tribulation that the world can bring to bear upon us at times…. Continue reading
