Love and Truth: Do We Sacrifice One for the Other?

“The Holy Spirit does not take us beyond the teaching of the Apostles. He gives us light to accept and abide in the revelation He has given. It is for this reason that we’re to devote ourselves continually to the Apostles’ doctrine. It is also for this reason that serious Christians will learn from the history of doctrine: that dimension of church history is the locus of the Spirit’s work of illumination, telling us where the boundaries of orthodoxy have been historically.”

(R. Fowler White – Green Baggins) In Scripture, Christians are called to devote themselves both to truth and to love. But can we pursue one without sacrificing the other? To get to the bottom of this question, it helps us to reflect on John’s second letter. For our purposes here, we’ll understand the sender, the Elder, to be the Apostle John and the recipients, the elect lady and her children, to be a congregation and its members (as a whole and in its parts) or perhaps a mother church and the congregations born (planted) out of it. Two Pastors Drop Major Bombshell Allegations Against Andy Stanley After Attending Private Q&A

Andy Stanley photo by Protestia

“Earlier today, Andy Stanely and his PR team deleted the sermon from their website, after getting heat for saying gays have more faith than straight Christians and for criticizing so-called “clobber” verses.”

(Protestia) Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops. Luke 12:3

On Sept 19, 2019, Andy Stanley participated in a private dinner with several pastors in Gilbert, Arizona. Stanley was in town for a conference and after it ended, local clergy joined him for a Q & A that was not live-streamed and was closed to the public. Continue reading

January 6 Was the Worst Incident of Police Brutality Since Civil Rights Era

Language warning

“Four Trump supporters lost their lives. Capitol Police Lieutenant Michael Byrd shot and killed Ashli Babbitt, an unarmed female veteran, at 2:44 p.m.”

(Julie Kelly – American Greatness) One might be inclined to apply Hanlon’s razor—never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity—to the actions of law enforcement on January 6, 2021. One might even be inclined to replace “stupidity” with “incompetence” to explain why police behaved the way they did that afternoon. Continue reading

Sen. Johnson Calls For Congress to Investigate Vaccine Manufacturers and Covid Vax Approval Process in Response to Project Veritas’ Exposé on Pfizer

“Project Veritas on Wednesday night released explosive video of Jordon Trishton Walker, Pfizer Director of Research and Development, Strategic Operations, admitting the pharma giant is exploring ‘mutating’ Covid-19 via ‘directed evolution’ so the company can continue to profit off of vaccines.”

(Cristina Laila – Gateway Pundit) Senator Ron Johnson on Thursday called for Congress to investigate vaccine manufacturers and the Covid vax approval process in response to Project Veritas’ explosive undercover video exposing Pfizer’s alleged plans to ‘mutate’ the Covid virus. Continue reading

Sola Scriptura

12 For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 (NASB)

“We affirm that the text of Scripture is to be interpreted by grammatico-historical exegesis, taking account of its literary forms and devices, and that Scripture is to interpret Scripture. We deny the legitimacy and any treatment of the text or quest for sources lying behind it that leads to relativizing, dehistoricizing, or discounting its teaching, or rejecting its claims to authorship.” – Article XVIII of The Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy October 1978 Continue reading

Matt Chandler to Join Revoice ‘Gay Christianity’ Founder for Conference

“America has completely embraced a revolutionary sexual ethic that far surpasses even the worst descriptions of sexual anarchy in the Bible. Yet, every time I think humanity couldn’t sink any deeper into the muck and mire of its own depravity, I’m reminded that godlessness has no bottom.”

(The Dissenter) Preston Sprinkle, one of the founders of Revoice, the “gay Christian” movement within Evangelical churches, has been instrumental in shifting the church’s doctrinal stance on homosexuality and other aberrant sexualities. It is through Sprinkle’s extensive relationships with mainstream Evangelicals such as James MerrittMatt Chandler, and even names like Beth Moore, that he has been able to popularize what was once denounced as forbidden fruit by Evangelicals. The issue with Parachurch organizations – especially ones founded by women

It is my contention that many of these parachurch organizations that are female founded, female led, as a result, are petrie dishes of false teaching, only to slither out of the dish and propagate itself like leaven into real churches.”

(Elizabeth Prada – The End Times) A parachurch organization is a Christian ministry that operates outside the local church’s governance and funding. Some work closely with a church, others are loosely connected, and still others seem to be separate from any oversight from a local church. Continue reading

SICK: Burberry Promotes Radical Transgender Agenda, Celebrates Young Women Mutilating Their Bodies

The transgender model in the photo had “top surgery.”  Gateway Pundit screenshot.

“Burberry certainly hopes they can get away with promoting transgenderism…Their executives probably know this “B:Mine” campaign will not grow the company but believe only conservatives on social media will revolt, thus limiting the damage to Burberry.”

(Cullen Linebarger – Gateway Pundit) Burberry this week decided to become the latest company to declare war on femininity, women’s bodies, and push the radical transgender agenda. On Monday, they rolled out their “B:Mine” campaign featuring a transgender model with a double mastectomy affectionately embracing another woman. Continue reading

Pfizer’s Mutating COVID to Develop Future Vaccines

“Don’t tell anyone. Promise you won’t tell anyone. The way it [the experiment] would work is that we put the virus in monkeys, and we successively cause them to keep infecting each other, and we collect serial samples from them.”

(Mary Dowling – Independent Sentinel) Project Veritas released a new video today exposing a Pfizer executive, Jordon Trishton Walker, who claims that his company is exploring a way to “mutate” COVID via “Directed Evolution” to preemptively develop future vaccines. Continue reading

How Democrats Stole Pennsylvania in 2020

“…Pennsylvania could well go down as the worst case of election theft in our country’s history. When election officials halted the count on election night, President Trump was ahead by 700,000 votes. But three days later, they declared that Joe Biden had won. President Trump was winning by the greatest margin on election night, that I believe Democrats were convinced they couldn’t catch him. So, Democrats stopped the counting, blocked Republicans from even entering the building, and then somehow counted an alleged 1.4 additional million ballots without oversight. That gave the race to Biden . . .”

(Emerald Robinson – The Right Way) My former OANN colleague Christina Bobb has shared an exclusive excerpt from her new book Stealing Your Vote — which came out today. It tells the story of corruption within the Democratic Party, as well as the cowardice throughout the Republican Party… Continue reading

In Arizona, bombshell new evidence of Maricopa County election wrongdoing

“What happens in Maricopa matters because Lake allegedly lost all of Arizona by a hair over 17,000 votes. Significant wrongdoing in Maricopa should invalidate the whole election. So far, the judge hasn’t yet tossed the case—and, after today’s bombshells, he may not be able to do so, no matter how much he wants to.”

(Andrea Widburg – American Thinker) Maricopa County is the most populated part of Arizona. When it comes to local government, it’s strongly conservative. However, abruptly and surprisingly, in both 2020 and 2022, Maricopa County suddenly started voting Democrat. The courts shut down 2020 election challenges, but gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake is fighting the good fight for the 2022 election—and today she released bombshell information about voting machine problems and bizarre signature analyses. If a judge accepts this data, it shows an election-changing pattern of suppressing Republican votes and overcounting Democrat votes. Continue reading

What Does Andy Stanley Believe About Homosexuality?

“This past week, a viral video leaked out of Andy Stanley’s 2022 DRIVE Conference in which Andy Stanley praised the superior faith of “gay Christians” stating that they had more faith to keep returning to a place that has historically “mistreated” homosexuals and might not “accept” them.”

(Ray Fava – Evangelical Dark Web) Andy Stanley achieved a reputation and perhaps pioneered the stereotype of a prominent megachurch pastor who avoids preaching about hot button issues. So, unsurprisingly there does not appear to be a go-to resource on Andy Stanley’s views, and his father, Charles Stanley, is not an indication of Andy’s theology on any given issue. So where does Andy Stanley stand on an issue he seldom talks about? Continue reading

Church of England Issues Formal Apology to LGBTQ for Being ‘Homophobic’

(The Dissenter) The Church of England (CoE), also known as the Anglican Church, was established in the 16th century as a result of King Henry VIII’s desire to divorce his wife, Catherine of Aragon. When the Pope refused to annul their marriage, Henry broke away from the Roman Catholic Church and established the Church of England, with himself as its head. In the centuries that followed, the Church of England was closely tied to the British monarchy and the state and was known for its conservative theology and strong opposition to religious dissent. Nancy Pelosi’s Exorcism

“The woman who wants to be known as “a woman of great power … a woman of great influence” called in the priests over Thanksgiving to expunge the bad spirits of great power and influence in her household left over by the “QAnon” guy on October 28, 2022.”

(Victoria Taft – PJ Media) Nancy Pelosi has at long last experienced a spasm of guilt over her tenure as the Best Catholic in America, America’s Mother, or whatever else she calls herself to get through the day. But it turns out she has humbled herself enough to ask for help to make things right. Sort of.  Continue reading

Is the apostate church in our time the scarlet woman?

1 “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: This is what He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars, says: ‘I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of My God. Revelation 3:1-2 (LSB)

When my dad died in 2010 I inherited my grandfather’s Bible. My grandfather was a remarkable man. He was born in 1877 and became a preacher of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in the 1890’s in Indian Territory, which is now Oklahoma. My grandfather preached from this Bible well into the 1950’s. It is full of notes and his own cross-references. However, there is one thing in the Bible that no one, apparently, knew was there…. FBI Russia Hoaxer Arrested for Russian Graft

Charles McGonigal was the one colluding with Russia, not Donald Trump, whom he was investigating.

(Nate Jackson – The Patriot Post) Call out if you had “FBI agent colludes with Russia” on your BINGO card.

Charles McGonigal isn’t a household name, but maybe he should be. The former FBI section chief was instrumental in launching Crossfire Hurricane, the FBI probe into whether candidate Donald Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election. Naturally, the one who actually colluded with Russia was McGonigal. Continue reading

The Menace of Sensationalizing the Gospel

“Sensationalism has nothing to do with the truth of scripture or the transformed life of the believer. It is a cheap and sleazy imitation of Christianity, focused solely on miracles, entertainment, and drawing crowds.”

(The Dissenter) The proliferation of sensationalism in the contemporary Christian landscape is a dire and ominous phenomenon that threatens to undermine the very foundations of the faith itself. From the gaudy spectacle of circus acts on Sunday mornings, to the saccharine and emotionally manipulative strains of worship music, to the self-aggrandizing oratory of charlatan preachers, to the sideshow antics of so-called faith-healers like Todd White, the use of cheap tricks and shallow appeals to emotion has become all too common in the effort to sell Christianity to the masses. ‘Gay clubs’ run in seminaries, says Pope Benedict in posthumous attack on Francis

“The outpouring of new books contributes to “impressions of a mounting civil war in the Church following the death of Benedict XVI”, according to John Allen, a leading Vatican analyst who writes for Crux, the Catholic news outlet.”

(Nick Saquires – The Telegraph) Gay “clubs” operate openly in Catholic seminaries, the institutions that prepare men for the priesthood, the late Pope Benedict XVI has claimed in a posthumously published book scathing of Pope Francis’s  progressive agenda. Continue reading

Mars Ditches WOKE All-Female M&Ms Over Right-Wing Rebellion

(Mary Dowling – Independent Sentinel) Candy maker Mars replaced the sexy, women-empowerment M&M “spokes candies” with actress Maya Rudolph. The all-female M&Ms were annoying many people, not just the right wing.

Last January,  M&Ms introduced  WOKE, and there was a backlash. People don’t want politicized candies.

Maya Rudolph will star in the candy brand’s upcoming Super Bowl commercial, not the spokes candies. Continue reading

As For The One Who Is Weak In Faith, Welcome Him, But Not To Quarrel Over Opinions

15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled. Titus 1:15 (LSB)

I am constantly amazed at the diversity I witness in the believers who interact with this ministry. This, of course, displays Christ’s power to bring together in unity dissimilar people from every place on this planet and from all walks of life. Part of our sanctification is dealing with our unredeemed flesh…. Continue reading

Doug Wilson and Jared Moore Debate Concupiscence and Homosexuality

The YouTube video of the debate between Wilson and Moore, plus Evangelical Dark Web’s summary of the debate, is on the site. Below is Jon Harris’s podcast interview with Jared Moore, Is Same-Sex Attraction A Sin? that led to the debate. We also provide a link to a podcast where Jon examines what the Bible teaches about same-sex attraction.

(Ray Fava – Evangelical Dark Web) Doug Wilson has been involved in a controversy surrounding his views on concupiscence as it relates to homosexuality. Pastor Jared Moore has called out Doug Wilson for having a view that essentially had some of the same adopted premises and application as Side B theology…. Continue reading

Is ‘Pride’ the Woke World Version of the ‘Mark of the Beast’?

By the way, the gay pride movement’s co-opting of the rainbow as a symbol flies in the face of God’s promise in the Bible. God gave us the rainbow as a promise that He would never flood the earth as he did in the days of Noah…

(Chris Queen – PJ Media) “And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.” Revelation 13:15-17 (ESV) Continue reading

Democrat-led cities are already moving forward with gas stove bans that will affect millions

Former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said in 2021 if his city could ban natural gas, ‘any city can do the same’

(Thomas Catenacci – Fox News) Democratic leaders in major cities nationwide have already moved forward with bans on natural gas stoves even as the Biden administration has pumped the brakes on similar regulations at the federal level.

Cities including Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and New York City — which are collectively home to more than 10 million Americans — have enacted varying restrictions on natural gas hookups impacting gas-powered furnaces, ovens and stoves. Continue reading

New Body-Worn Camera Footage from J6 Supports Calls for Release of All Video

“The Department of Justice and news media have carefully controlled the narrative, portraying protesters as the perpetrators of violence rather than the victims, while justifying the fatalities of four Trump supporters on January 6.”

(Julie Kelly) Body-worn camera footage obtained by American Greatness of a D.C. Metropolitan police officer on duty on January 6, 2021, shows the chaos unfolding in real-time that day and how law enforcement’s response to the protest led to rising tension and deadly violence. Continue reading

Prayer

1 And it happened that while Jesus was praying in a certain place, after He had finished, one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray just as John also taught his disciples.” 2 And He said to them, “When you pray, say: ‘Father, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. 3 Give us each day our daily bread. 4 And forgive us our sins, For we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation.’” Luke 11:1-4 (LSB)

Prayer is a vital part of our Christian walk before the face of God. I have never met a mature Christian who was at peace with the consistency or depth of his or her praying. Sacred Scripture says that God commands His people to pray. I have often wondered why God wants us to pray since He knows everything already. He knows what we need already the Word says, so why should we have to pray, asking Him for what we need?… Continue reading
