“Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. John 21:17
“If the Christian church is to have any hope of reversing this decline in biblical beliefs, it must make solid biblical theology a central focus of its preaching. Biblical theology is not something that can be absorbed via osmosis – it must be taught, intentionally and incrementally. If sound, deep theology is not preached from the pulpit, where else will the average person hear it?”
(Smart Faith) A newly released American study draws attention to a “striking decline” in traditional biblical beliefs among those who claim to be evangelicals. The study by Probe Ministries discovered that 60% of those claiming to be ‘born again’ Christians in America, aged between 18 and 39, believe that Buddha and Muhammad are equally valid paths to salvation. Furthermore, 30% say that Jesus was not perfect and probably sinned. Continue reading
What you’re about to witness is Pastor Timothy Keller promoting syncretism in urban churches. What exactly is syncretism? For more than a decade I’ve warned about syncretism in the Church. In a recent article (below) I wrote the following: “Syncretism in Evangelicalism started happening when elements of various religious beliefs were integrated into mainline denominations. As syncretism spreads, creeds, confessions and doctrine get tossed aside resulting in a fundamental change of beliefs. When Truth declines, false teaching flourishes. The wily serpent uses syncretism to separate God from His people.”

(Leah Barkoukis – Townhall) The White House is facing heat for describing the Taliban as “businesslike and professional” on the same day President Biden blasted unvaccinated Americans, saying he’s “losing patience” with them. Fox News’s Peter Doocy confronted White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki about a White House statement describing the Taliban in such glowing terms after the first commercial flights were allowed to leave Kabul. Meanwhile, their new interim government includes an FBI-wanted terrorist as its interior minister…. Continue reading
(Rick Moran – PJ Media) Joe Biden has decided to order a vaccine mandate and compel obedience to government policy after saying for months that he’d do no such thing.
But it’s difficult to resist the siren song of authoritarianism if you’re president — all that power and no one to command. So forcing people to get poked in the arm and receive the magic elixir is about all Biden can do to exercise authority
The problem is that someone forgot to tell Old Joe that he doesn’t have the power to force private-sector businesses to comply with his mandate. This is completely understandable…. Continue reading
(Breitbart) President Joe Biden on Thursday is announcing sweeping new federal vaccine requirements affecting as many as 100 million Americans in an all-out effort to increase COVID-19 vaccinations and curb the surging delta variant that is killing thousands each week and jeopardizing the nation’s economic recovery.
The expansive rules mandate that all employers with more than 100 workers require them to be vaccinated or test for the virus weekly, affecting about 80 million Americans. And the roughly 17 million workers at health facilities that receive federal Medicare or Medicaid also will have to be fully vaccinated. Continue reading
“A life that seems to have no interest in Christ and his church nor pays any heed to his commands is not a living, active faith promoted from within by the Holy Spirit. It is a non-existent faith. It is belief that some words you said years ago is good enough to deal with your sin once and for all and to secure a place in Heaven for you. I’m afraid that isn’t a teaching you will find anywhere in the Bible….”
(Stephen Kneale – Building Jerusalem) I have lost count of the number of times I have heard a story approximating the following. Somebody has grown up going to church, hearing the gospel and made a profession of faith or prayed the sinners prayer…. Continue reading
“It is unclear whether now-President Biden has continued the use of non-government email for official business and whether he has continued to provide government information to his family members, including Hunter Biden.”
(John Solomon – Just The News) The White House failed to meet a deadline last month to provide information to two key Republican senators concerning Joe Biden’s use of a private email account as vice president to send government information to his son Hunter Biden. Continue reading
“When those problems exploded, they reacted by citing climate change or some other bogeyman as the culprit rather than government dereliction. They preferred utopian high-speed rail solutions to pragmatic problem solving. And they ensured that none of their crackpot ideas ever affected themselves.”
(Victor Davis Hanson, Recall Election Could Reverse the California Ideology) California once was run by conservatives and mostly centrist Democrats.
True paleo-liberal governors like Pat Brown greatly expanded the welfare state. But they also believed in pushing integration and building freeways, dams, aqueducts and power plants, while preventing forest fires, directing the mentally ill into state hospitals, and ensuring that the state enhanced the housing, timber, oil and gas, nuclear and agricultural industries. Despite the hype in the hours, days, and weeks after the Capitol melee, not a single January 6 defendant has been charged with sedition. Turns out, there is #Sedition and then there’s the real thing.
(Ben Boychuk – American Greatness) Twitter account called #SeditionHunters has nearly 49,000 enthusiastic followers. The group describes itself loftily as a “global community of open-source intelligence investigators (OSINT)”—nice haughty touch with the acronym—“working together to assist the U.S. FBI and Washington D.C. Capitol Police in finding people who allegedly committed crimes in the January 6 capitol riots.”…. Continue reading
“Biblically and historically, a worship service is where God’s people respond corporately to what God has revealed about Himself. Yes, this response ought to be heartfelt, sincere, meaningful and unfeigned. In charismatic worship theology, one is not so much in pursuit of a response, as one is in pursuit of an experience: an experience of the presence of God that is intense, sensorily tangible, and emotionally or physically ecstatic.”
(David de Bruyn – Churches Without Chests) Christian worship has often had a remarkably similar shape across traditions. Bryan Chapell showed in his work Christ-Centered Worship that corporate worship (sans communion) in Roman, Lutheran, Reformed and Evangelical traditions had a very similar form: a Call to worship, a Kyrie or Confession, followed by Thanksgiving, an Old Testament reading, a New Testament reading, a prayer for Illumination, a Sermon, followed by a Benediction or dismissal, with hymns or psalms interspersed…. (Jesse Johnson – The Cripplegate) This week Los Angeles County and the State of California both agreed to settle their lawsuit with Grace Community Church—the church pastored by John MacArthur and the home to The Master’s Seminary– and pay their legal team $800,000. This was the settlement reached as a result of the County of Los Angeles taking the church to court over COVID restrictions.
If you recall, March 2020 the State of California (along with just about every other state) declared a state of emergency as a result of COVID…. Continue reading
“It doesn’t matter what Jen Psaki, the minister of propaganda, or the corrupt corporate media puts forth. The truth is that only a heroic action in the future by the President could mitigate this colossal screwup. Place your bets now if you think old Joe will deliver heroism.”
(Bill O’Reilly, The Biden Circumstance) Unintended consequences often lead to crushing reality. When we do something that doesn’t work out (job, marriage, investment) there is usually hell to pay, as the cliche goes. Continue reading
“California has reported the highest number of the latest variant with 384. A total of 167 of those cases were found in Los Angeles County.”
(Brandon Sapienza – MSN) Since being discovered in Colombia in January, the mu variant of COVID-19 has spread to nearly four dozen countries and has made its presence known in Hawaii and Alaska. It has so far been found in 49 states with Nebraska being the only state to not have a mu variant case detected. Continue reading
(Simon Kent – Breitbart) The U.S. government contributed funding to controversial gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, a report alleged Monday.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and the chief medical advisor to Democrat President Joe Biden, has previously denied the National Institute of Health [NIH] has ever funded such research. Continue reading
“The next step is to go after the engineered addictiveness of tech platforms. It is a crime when opioid manufacturers aggressively push a deliberately addictive product. When casinos do it, we recognize it as a vice that needs regulation. We should take the same attitude toward apps and mobile games that are draining away the energy of millions.”
(Blake Masters – Wall Street Journal) Google can swing an election. Facebook knows more about you than your spouse does. Amazon’s Alexa can record your living room conversations. Yet for all the talk about the Big Tech threat, these companies keep getting bigger, more powerful and more abusive. Continue reading
On Friday, someone who claimed to be an urgent care specialist tweeted that HHS had informed him that the government would now decide which facilities would receive doses of monoclonal antibodies.
(Stacey Lennox – PJ Media) After demonizing nearly every medication with the potential to reduce the severity of COVID-19 symptoms, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) finally recommended monoclonal antibodies earlier this summer. Before the official recommendation, some providers used them under an emergency use authorization (EUA) granted by the FDA in November 2020…. Continue reading
“Will Fauci, Biden, Gates and Company get, in the end, what they were looking for all along, which was to get their serum into the arms of virtually every American and install freedom-crushing digital vaccine passports in every corner of America, making it impossible to buy or sell or work a job without accepting their mark of obedience?”
(Leo Hohmann) America has been playing with fire for years, disrespecting its Constitution and allowing, even encouraging politicians to pander to the fears of an ever-present boogieman over the higher values of individual freedom and responsibility. Continue reading
“If we’re talking about a congregational level, your church has to vocally, publicly, and in a sustained way pursue justice.”
(Protestia) It seems that ever since Ibram X. Kendi, author of the NYT bestseller How to be an Anti-racist, tapped Jemar Tisby to be the Assistant Director of Narrative and Advocacy at the brand new Center for Antiracist Research, that’s he’s gone further and further right in his ideology and rhetoric. Continue reading
“We don’t tell them how often or when, on a random basis they have to reply within 15 minutes.”
(Charlie Kirk) Australia has been using draconian measures under the guise of keeping covid cases low to strip citizens of freedom. While Prime Minister Scott Morrison admits “this is not a sustainable way to live in this country” Premier Steven Marshall says “I think every South Australian should feel pretty proud that we are the national pilot for the home-based quarantine app.” Continue reading
(Jim Hoft – Gateway Pundit) Now we know why the media was ignoring this story.
The Taliban is holding the planes filled with Americans HOSTAGE in Northern Afghanistan!
As reported earlier, several retired Special Forces and US Veterans traveled to Afghanistan to rescue and bring the people Americans home that Joe Biden left stranded. Continue reading
Jon Courson would make prophecies and predictions, often at New Year’s Eve. Even though these didn’t pan out, Courson wouldn’t apologize. “That’s how these guys operate. They don’t have to give an explanation. No one ever really holds them accountable for really bad things they say.” [And do]
(Rebecca Hopkins) Ben Courson, pastor of an Oregon megachurch, recently stepped down amid allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct. Now, witnesses have come forward with allegations that Ben’s father, Jon Courson—founder of Applegate Christian Fellowship near Medford, Oregon—had an inappropriate relationship with a woman in the 1980s. By moving ahead unilaterally, the White House usurped the CDC and FDA’s authority over these types of health-related calls…“The recommendation shouldn’t precede the data, which is what happened here. And that’s why people are so upset,” said a source close to the FDA advisory panel who was not authorized to speak on the record.
(Tyler Durden – Zero Hedge) Just as President Biden was promising to unveil new federal measures for combating the delta variant next week, the NYT dropped a bombshell report claiming that the heads of the CDC and FDA had advised the White House to scale back its plan for booster shots. (Revolver) Over the weekend a stunning image made the rounds online. The photo showed a letter from Chase Bank to Lori Flynn, the wife of Gen. Michael Flynn, informing her that her credit cards were being canceled due to the “reputational risk” she created for the company.
See the letter on the site — also tweets.
Some on the left initially suggested the letter might be a hoax, before concluding that Chase’s decision was legitimate and something to celebrate. Continue reading
