Posting this piece brings me no joy. Alistair Begg is one of my favorite preachers. As a reporter, my job is to accurately report news that some CRN subscribers may find disturbing, at times heartbreaking. With this in mind, here’s an excerpt followed by the article. There’s a video posted on the site:
“The Bible doesn’t say that we can participate in evil so long as the people we are participating in it with understand that we believe in Jesus. The Bible says the exact opposite—it says to Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness (Eph 5:11). What is a more unfruitful work of darkness than celebrating something that God [expressly forbids]. Was God there celebrating? No. What is God’s disposition toward such wickedness? That should be our disposition.”
(The Dissenter) In 2014, Russell Moore, then president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) advised Southern Baptists to attend a “gay wedding” reception as a gesture of affection towards a homosexual friend or relative. Moore was criticized for this stance, and rightly so, yet this stance was quickly adopted by the progressive stream of Southern Baptists and Evangelicals and has become the norm within movements such as Revoice. [When] the progressive movement cannot enact its unpopular agendas…it must scare the people silly and gin up chaos to destroy its perceived enemies—any crisis it can.
“Joe Biden loyalist, Tony Blinken, who is now the disastrous Secretary of State, and former Acting CIA Chief Mike Morrell used this false information by the FBI to write an open letter alleging that the Hunter Biden laptop had all the hallmarks of a Russian disinformation campaign. Fifty-one intelligence community members signed their names to the letter. They lied to give Joe Biden a talking point in a debate with Donald Trump.”
(The Dissenter) The Roman Catholic pope recently made remarks that demonstrate that the Catholic Church is as committed to sound doctrine as a mirage is to offering water in the desert. As reported by “
…England’s NHS stopped “routinely” prescribing the drugs after a “damning review” found that the drugs could “interrupt the process of the brain maturing.”
“The WHO panel is made up mostly of social justice and human rights lawyers who believe the gender affirmative approach is the only option…”
“It’s not encouraging that
(The Dissenter) Perusing social media this morning, I ran across the following tweet by Gavin Ortlund. Squishy doctrine and false teaching seem to be universal (no pun intended) within the entire pedigree of Ortlund men. His father, Ray Ortlund, is a staunch supporter of Beth Moore and other women pastors and his brother, Dane, wrote a book essentially painting Jesus as an effete and passive servant who has within him no wrath. So it comes as no surprise that Gavin would peddle such views as the following: [See Ortland’s post on the page]
“The debate over the measure will be ugly. Its opponents will undoubtedly resort to suicide threats early and often, declaring that this law will push kids to kill themselves. It won’t, but telling kids to take themselves hostage is the transgender movement’s main weapon.”

(Grant Huan – The Sentinel) An artificial intelligence psychologist has become one of the most sought-after artificial intelligence personas on Character.ai, a popular chatbot hosting site.
“Everyone knows about the 600,000 Americans who died in the Civil War, almost none of whom owned a single slave. Far fewer realize that it took British taxpayers from 1833 to 2015 to pay off the gargantuan debt—one of the largest loans in history—accrued from freeing the countless empire’s slaves.”
(Revolver) When you tune into the news, chat with neighbors, or even overhear conversations in a diner, it’s impossible to ignore the constant buzz about the laundry list of disasters unfolding across the US. It feels like every time you turn around, there’s another train derailment, a plane incident, or a military crisis. It’s one calamity after another. One individual who’s keenly aware of what’s going on is Elon Musk. He’s taken such a strong interest in these so-called random “calamities” that he recently shared a thought-provoking article on the topic that’s sure to stir up quite a bit of controversy.
“Hunter Biden’s willful refusal to comply with the committees’ subpoenas is a criminal act” that “constitutes contempt of Congress and warrants referral to the appropriate United States Attorney’s Office for prosecution as prescribed by law.”
“We have illegals in our airports, our schools, our parks, on the streets, and African migrants
“To argue that ‘arsenokoitai’ does not refer to homosexuality is to engage in linguistic gymnastics, twisting the text to fit a modern agenda. The early church fathers, well-versed in Greek, understood this term to condemn homosexual acts.”
“What is the Left’s underlying motivation for relentlessly pushing transgenderism? Why do they revel in seeing so many confused young children? It is not for reasons of caring or concern for such individuals — much like their selective concern for shooting victims.”
(Lee Duigon – News With Views) Does each generation get the dinosaurs that it deserves?
“Buses are now pulling up to @JMHSBklyn and dropping off illegals. School is closed tomorrow because illegals will be sleeping in the school’s gym. This is disgraceful! NYC is prioritizing illegals over Americans.”
The 81-year-old Biden is going to “finish the job,” so what could she possibly be worried about?
(Victor Davis Hanson – American Greatness) In the last six months, we have borne witness to many iconic moments evidencing the collapse of American culture.
Fauci seems to still have the “science fair” attitude that he carried through the pandemic, not something where you realize, like what you’re saying has the impact literally on whether people live and die.”
“Historically, the claim of Jesus’ marriage to Mary Magdalene is as dry as the desert when it comes to credible evidence. It’s a narrative that first reared its bizarre head centuries after Jesus’ time, popping up in Gnostic writings.”
(Revolver) Dr. Bret Weinstein, a popular podcaster, successful author, and former distinguished professor of evolutionary biology at Evergreen State College, has delivered a startling assessment of COVID-19 and the vaccine that could have monumental implications—we’re talking “game changer” type stuff.
