The SBC and Its Mostly False Gospel

Here is a high-level leader who is “in the know” within the SBC. He is telling us what we have all suspected for a very long time now. And the question is, will anyone do anything about it? There is absolutely no sign whatsoever that anyone in the SBC has the guts that it will take to grab this bull by the horns and do the necessary work to address the problems.

After preaching a sermon calling on Christians to stand up for LGBT rights — since the Bible apparently just “whispers” about the sin of sexual immorality — a report detailing numerous sexual abuse scandals over a period of 20 years in Southern Baptist churches was published. James Caspian was denied permission to research the phenomenon of detransitioning at Bath Spa University in 2017, and says he has been approached by many patients since who say: “I’m not the other sex. I shouldn’t have done this.”

Greg Boyd says God knows some aspects of the future, but that other future events are outside of his knowledge. Creflo Dollar says because we are created in the image of God, we are little gods. Mormonism says God revealed new scripture to Joseph Smith that supersedes the Bible. Roman Catholicism says we are justified by faith, but not by faith alone. The Murder of Discernment in Modern Christianity

The willingness to accept discernment when talking about cults, false religions, and well-known charlatans is one thing.  But when the lens of discernment is turned to the celebrity pastor, teacher, podcaster, or fellow, professing “brother,” the willingness for discretion is deleted, particularly when it’s pointed at “our” favorite celebrity.

Russell Moore Paints Conservatives as Idolaters of Power Because of ‘Racial Injustice’
