New study suggests the Catholic priest abuse scandal isn’t about pedophilia but about rampant homosexuality

“The network of “gay” priests and Catholic authorities goes all the way to the Vatican, according to several sources. It’s known to some as the “Lavender Mafia.” High-ranking Vatican emissary archbishop Carlo Vigano has even accused the pope himself in the cover-up.”

(Steve Jordahl – OneNewsNow)  The Ruth Institute pulled the numbers together from several agencies that have been tracking the scandal, as well as from statistics gathered by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and the detailed 1,100-page report issued by the Pennsylvania attorney general. The study shows: Continue reading

God and Government

Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Romans 13:1

When Paul refers to governing authorities, he uses a phrase that can best be translated the powers that be. He is not just talking about heads of state; he is talking about all levels of authority, all the way down to the local police. He tells us that the thing we must think about these governmental offices is that they are, in some way, brought into being by God himself.

I often hear people ask, Which form of government is the best? Which is the one God wants us to have?We Americans would love to think that democracy obviously is the most God-honored form of government. But I don’t think you can establish that from the Scriptures. In fact, the Scriptures reflect various forms of government. So when you ask, Which government is the best kind? Is it a monarchy? An oligarchy? Is it a republic? A democracy?  … View article →

Blasphemy: ‘Gay Christian’ Says Jesus is Promiscuous and Polyamorous

Brian G. Murphy teaches extreme blasphemy.

“This is the heresy of theoerosism, which essentially amounts to romantic vibes for Jesus. That’s not the type of love with which he loves us. He’s not your boyfriend. His love is not reckless or romantic. In fact, Jesus doesn’t love us “amorously” and so to argue Jesus is polyamorous, is logic that does not follow.”

Let us devote ourselves to running the race God has set before us

1 To You I lift up my eyes, O You who are enthroned in the heavens! 2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, As the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, So our eyes look to the Lord our God, Until He is gracious to us. 3 Be gracious to us, O Lord, be gracious to us, For we are greatly filled with contempt. 4 Our soul is greatly filled With the scoffing of those who are at ease, And with the contempt of the proud. Psalms 123 (NASB)

The vast majority of people on planet Earth want nothing to do with the real Jesus. Many love and hold dear another Jesus, but he is one made up by people who don’t know the one who is real. Tragically, the numbers of professing Christians are growing continually who are also following another Jesus who does not resemble in the least the one found in Sacred Scripture. Those who hold dear the real Jesus are those who are entirely reliant upon the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Undoubtedly there are baby Christians who are not spiritually mature and whose faith is not strong. … View article →

The Present American Revolution

Almost everything we have seen in just the last three months — the Kavanaugh chaos, the “caravan,” the ongoing Mueller octopus, recounting election results until they are deemed “correct,” the Beto and Gillum neo-socialism craziness, the swarming of a Fox News anchor’s home, driving public officials out of restaurants, the media circus at presidential press conferences — are symptoms of revolutionary America.

(Victor Davis Hanson – National Review)  The revolution of 1776 sought to turn a colony of Great Britain into a new independent republic based on constitutionally protected freedom. It succeeded with the creation of the United States. Continue reading

Not The Babylon Bee: Christian At UC-Berkeley Harassed, Denounced For Saying There Are Two Sexes

Activists are trying to destroy a lone Christian student who dared speak out in favor of a Trump administration proposal to define sex according to biological realities.

(Brad Polumbo – The Federalist)   When news leaked in late October that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services was considering a move to once again define sex according to biological realities, it set off a political firestorm and raucous debate about transgender issues. Mainstream media outrage over the issue has now mostly subsided, but on many liberal college campuses, outrage is still in full swing. Continue reading

Register Now: ‘God’s Voice Conference’ to Counter Pro-LGBT ‘Revoice Conference.’

“The goal of who is speaking and how it is constructed is to not just to make it an opposition to Revoice but to counter it with God’s voice and Gospel transformation. The Gospel element of all of this is most important.

(Pulpit & Pen)  An upcoming conference hopes to provide an alternative to the “Queer Christian” Revoice Conference. In opposition to the hopeless views propagated at this year’s Revoice Conference, which was promoted by officials in two of America’s most conservative denominations, the Presbyterian Church of America and Southern Baptist Convention, the God’s Voice Conference will promote a Gospel that can fully save and sanctify sinners, transforming them and making them like Jesus. This conference will be held on February 22 and 23 at First Moore Baptist Church in Moore, Oklahoma. Continue reading

The Valley of Humiliation and dealing with discouragement

23 Yet the chief cupbearer did not remember Joseph, but forgot him. Genesis 40:23 (NASB)

My natural tendency is to heartily participate in self-pity, outrage, and unforgiveness thereby opening doors in my heart that Satan enters causing me to become discouraged. When this happens to me, I find that my circumstances drive me to become very negative and impatient. I suppose that this is one of my besetting sins which clings closely to me ready to cut in on me causing me to drop out of the race God has set before me to run with endurance. (Hebrews 12:1-2) My sense of joy that strengthens me as I run this race comes from looking unto Jesus. My focus has dropped from Him to me and my circumstances. When this happens the slide into self-absorption is very quick. I suddenly find myself in this ugly spiritually flat mood whose fuel seems to be anger that sometimes results in outrage.  View article →

72 percent say media ‘dividing Americans,’ spreading ‘hate’

Overall, 72 percent said “the mainstream media has played a major role in dividing Americans along racial, gender and political lines. This has led to a spread of hate and misunderstanding among some people.”

(Paul Bedard – Washington Examiner)  Nearly three-quarters of the country believes that the media is “dividing Americans” along political, racial, and gender lines, a stunning condemnation of the press, according to a new national survey.

What’s more, the Zogby Analytics poll provided to Secrets said that the media bias is sparking hate and misunderstanding. Continue reading

Megachurch pastor tells church to stop going to yoga, because of its ‘demonic roots’

Not surprisingly, the pastor who rightly stated that yoga has demonic roots, therefore it shouldn’t be practiced by Christians has been accused of being “ignorant,” “divisive” and inciting “hate speech.” Reporter Alissa Zhu interviewed a “Christian yogi” (an oxymoron if ever there was one) who claims the practice has brought him closer to God, in spite of the fact that participating in any sort of pagan practice is expressly forbidden by the God of the Bible. Zhu also interviewed Stephanie Wubbena who teaches goat yoga on a farm. Wubbena said her main concern was that the pastor’s message is “going after small businesses.”

After reading the story, return to CRN and discover why the pastor felt it was necessary to warn his congregants that practicing yoga can be spiritually harmful to Christians in a piece entitled Going Against God “Just for Fun.”

Now to Alissa Zhu’s story over at Springfield News-Leader. She writes: Continue reading

Climate contrarian uncovers scientific error, upends major ocean warming study

“Our error margins are too big now to really weigh in on the precise amount of warming that’s going on in the ocean. We really muffed the error margins.”

(Joshua Emerson Smith – The San Diego Union-Tribune)  Researchers with UC San Diego’s Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Princeton University recently walked back scientific findings published last month that showed oceans have been heating up dramatically faster than previously thought as a result of climate change. Make me know Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths

1 To You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. 2 O my God, in You I trust, Do not let me be ashamed; Do not let my enemies exult over me. 3 Indeed, none of those who wait for You will be ashamed; Those who deal treacherously without cause will be ashamed. 4 Make me know Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. 5 Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day. Psalms 25:1-5 (NASB)

Doubting God and His promises, worrying about things that are in God’s control are sins. Our enemy focuses primarily in his attacks on us on attempting to bring us to a place where we doubt God. This struggle comes to all who commit themselves to serving God with their lives. The closer they draw to God, the more Satan or his forces attempt to bring discouragement and despair to bear on these believers in an attempt to thwart their devotion to their Lord. View article →

Students Warned, ‘Don’t Pray in Public’

“This is perhaps a double-edged sword: on one hand, going back to the 1960s there has been an agenda to remove God from public schools and the culture. On the other hand, too many Christian leaders and parents have quietly backed out of culture, avoiding any controversial issue and choosing not to take a stand for the faith, the gospel, and for truth.”

(David Fiorazo)  In Texas of all places, a few public school students sat down at an empty table in the lunchroom to quietly pray for a classmate who was in an accident. The school principal, Lee Frost, immediately walked over to them and warned them: “Don’t do that again.” It’s as if they just dropped f-bombs, looked at porn, vandalized something, or bullied another student. Vatican orders US bishops to delay taking action on sexual abuse crisis

“We are not, ourselves, happy about this [delay]. We have been working hard to get to the action stage, and we’ll do it, but we have to get past this bump in the road.” – Cardinal Daniel DiNardo

(Daniel Burke – CNN)  The Vatican has told the US Conference of Catholic Bishops to delay voting on measures to hold bishops accountable for failing to protect children from sexual abuse, the president of the conference said in a surprise announcement Monday morning.

In announcing the decision to his fellow bishops, Cardinal Daniel DiNardo said he was disappointed by the Vatican’s interference, which he said he learned of on Sunday afternoon. Continue reading

Horrible Pro-Abortion Ad Shows Beautiful Newborn Baby, Says It’s OK to Abort Her

It shows us not a “clump of cells” but a baby. It calls the baby “she,” not “it” or “that thing.” It seems almost to go out of its way to highlight the beauty and lovability of the child. It presents human life — wondrous, miraculous life — and says, “Yes, it is good to kill this person.”

(Micaiah Bilger – LifeNews)  A horrible new ad created for the abortion giant Planned Parenthood uses an adorable baby girl with big eyes and precious smile to advocate for abortion on demand.

The 40-second video, “The Chosen,” was created by the Agenda Project, a pro-abortion advocacy group, to promote the abortion giant Planned Parenthood. Continue reading

The other battle

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:10-13 (NASB) (Read verse 13 on the site)

I have taught and written much about the battle believers have, and will always have in this life, with their flesh. Most believers are enslaved to their flesh. Why? We were made with an insatiable desire for fulfillment. At birth we inherited our Sin Nature from Adam. We were all born that way. Prior to our salvation we sought fulfillment via it. It primarily utilized our flesh for that purpose. At our salvation through the washing of regeneration, our Sin Nature was cleansed from us.  View article →

Karen Prior Creates ‘Guild’ with Wildly Unorthodox Women to Help Women Attain Biblical Orthodoxy

“Make no mistake about it, Karen Swallow Prior – who serves the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission – wants the group to lead the way to a fully-egalitarian, women-centric, feminist-focused church experience.”

(JD Hall – Pulpit & Pen)  For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions. – 2 Timothy 3:6

If you added all of these women together, their theological credentials wouldn’t cover a napkin. Their accumulative doctrinal teaching has all the stability of a Midol commercial. In a Luke 6:39 scenario, Karen Swallow Prior and other wildly unorthodox women are creating a feminist ‘guild’ to help women move toward Biblical orthodoxy. When they’re not orthodox themselves, one wonders what male pastor will help them do that. Continue reading

‘Boy Erased’ Movie Foments Anti-Christian Bigotry

Boy Erased depicts a residential treatment program for males struggling with “gay” attractions. In the film, a young man is beaten with a Bible. There’s shaming and yelling. Alleging that “God won’t love you” unless homosexuality stops instantly in this young man’s life.”

(Linda Harvey – Mission:America)  Hooray for Hollywood! The cinematic dream masters are powerfully adept at making fantasy seem real. We get flying super heroes, cosmic meteor strikes, even an Emerald City.

And now, another fable–a tale of mean Christians forcing a boy to be un-“gay.” Continue reading

Veterans Deserve Sincere Thanks for Our Freedom, Our Country, Our America

Taking a moment to share appreciation lets our brave men and women know we are forever grateful for their sacrifice.

(Deirdre Reilly – LifeZette)  Veterans Day is one holiday that is all too easy to overlook.

There are no gifts given, no big family gatherings to attend, no cards or decorations marking the anniversary.

There are gifts they’ve given us, actually — the gift of precious freedom to every American, from those brave men and women who have fought in all wars since the beginning of our republic. Continue reading

Aliens and exiles in this lost and dying world, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God

17 And He came and preached peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who were near; 18 for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit. Ephesians 2:17-22 (NASB) (Read 1 Peter 2:11-12 on the site)

When Christians are born of God into His Kingdom they also undergo a change in status not only there, but in the kingdom of darkness, the world, from which they came. Carefully read the two passages I placed at the top of this post from the Apostles Paul and Peter. Sadly so much of what we hear in what pretends to be Christianity these days emphasizes the exact opposite focus. They push agendas of political reform and social change rather than in truly discipling their flocks to prepare them to be aliens (pilgrims) just passing through a very hostile world on the way to their real home. The righteous will live by faith

16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone believing, both to Jew first and to Greek. 17 For the righteousness of God is revealed in it from faith to faith as it has been written, “But the righteous man will live by faith.” Romans 1:16-17 (translated from the NA28 Greek text)

After Saul the Pharisee was knocked off his horse on his way to persecute Christians, blinded by the power of God, and saved becoming the Apostle Paul (Acts 9:1-9), a disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ in Damascus named Ananias was sent to lay hands on a “man of Tarsus named Saul, for behold, he is praying” (Acts 9:11). When Ananias expressed fear and doubt, knowing whom Saul was, our Lord said, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and children of Israel. For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name” (Acts 9:15-16). View article →

Blasphemy: Jesus is not Isa, Isa is not Jesus

Former International Mission Board President David Platt

“As warm and joyful as it makes any Christian to hear that many are coming to the Messiah, the method of their coming must align with the Bible. Secondly, the Messiah they are coming to must be this same Jesus. (Acts 1:11)  Names are important. Count how many times in Acts, a mission-book of the Bible if there ever was one, the word “name” is stated. One must know to whom one is appealing for forgiveness of sins. Isa is not the Messiah. Isa is a devil.”

(Elizabeth Prata)  For several years now we have been hearing stories of Muslim people in closed Islamic societies claiming to have had a dream of a certain person appearing to them in a white robe, sometimes introducing Himself as Isa, and variously either sharing the Gospel in the dream or saying that someone will soon come to share the Gospel with them. Missionaries have reported many Muslims allegedly coming to faith by this method. Continue reading
